The owner, Aaron came out to my house. Upon first meeting, he was very nice and walked me through the issues I was having with my hvac system. He provided me with a quote that was affordable and after a couple other quotes, we decided to go with Aaron and his company. I always try to have small companies do work for me over the bigger ones. Aaron rescheduled on me 2 different times. About a month after his original promise date to start, he finally arrived and got to work. he replaced my equipment and everything worked fine for a few days and then just stopped. We couldn't figure out why it wasn't working so we called Aaron. As usual he didn't answer his phone ( that started after we gave him a deposit for the work) He finally called me back a full 24 hours after my first call. He refused to come out and look at what could be wrong. Telling me that he was too busy and booked out a few months. That I was lucky he made it out in the fist place. He told me he'd call me back in a few hours and see if he could squeeze me in. 2 days went by and no phone call from Aaron Tompkins. It'a the middle of winter, he took my money put in the equipment and wouldn't come back to rectify the issues. Fortunately, a family friend referred another company who came out and fixed the issues. It took them maybe an hour and it was up and running. Aaron finally called me back 4 days later!! I told him we had another company fix it and asked where I could send the bill to be reimbursed by him. He lost his mind after that. Yelling and swearing at me. Threatening to put a lean on my home and to pursue legal action against me for harassment because I called him 3 times in 2 days trying to get answers. When I told him that we had no heat for 4 days and he was nowhere to be found. He said, "show me in the contract where it says the equipment needs to be running" In legal terms it says is that he would provide and install equipment that would be specifically sized for me home. He was proud of the fact that he had a loophole in his contract and tried playing games to dance around it. Very dishonest person. Stay FAR AWAY from him. read more

Not being from the area, but have called the Schoharie Valley my home away from home for nearly 5 years, it's still a daunting task to find a service professional that knows what they're doing. You'd never think that a heating and cooling company that's contact info was found on a placemat at a local diner. Well, that's exactly what happened. After an initial visit and a reasonable price quote, Aaron installed a Fujitsu ductless mini split system in our small home in a day. He and his co worker were clean, tidy, and efficient. He stuck to his quote, and we were left with a super efficient was to heat our place during the dreadful, cold winters. I recommend him highly. read more

As much as I like to support small businesses, do not waste your time or money with this one. This company is the absolute worst. Unreliable, didn't show multiple times when scheduled and the owner himself is extremely rude, impatient and completely unprofessional. Verbally abusive and foul mouthed. Wish there were other local techs that supported the system in my home. There is no excuse for any business owner to be so unprofessional and unreasonable. I can't remember the last time I did business with someone that was 100% transparent throughout the entire process, showing costs, sending pictures while I was not there with updates. Called them in the middle of a recent snow storm to help my elderly father when his chimney collapsed. They quickly installed a power vent and got his furnace up and going. Answered the phone the first call and quickly got back to me with details and pricing. They went the extra mile and were very pleasant to work with.
