Levi and I met for a hardwood demo and LVT install quote late last year for our first floor great room. He explained that the old existing white oak (which had aged to orange) in the entry and kitchen was a valuable amenity to the property and that we could instead feather in new white oak into the dining area to match and it would look seamless. I wasn't so sure, but we decided to go for it, and we're so pleased. The 'after' result is simply stunning. I am over the moon happy with the final product. And, I just have to mention that these guys really care and pay attention to detail. They moved appliances back and forth, thoroughly cleaned up, very little dust (which is crazy with the amount of sanding on the old wood floors), they covered furniture and had everything tidy at the end of each work day. There was wonderful communication throughout and I hope to do more work with them in the future. Rodger said they could sand it to make a better transition. That was not acceptable to me, so i paid a lot more to have it all match. Then the planks started to separate. He sent a kid to putty the cracks. He left not completing the job. When I complained, i was told i had to take all the furniture out of my house so they could fix the wood. I could not do that, so they never fixed my floor.
