Braeden, in particular, came out and gave us a bid, and recommended income service rather than what we thought had to be done in their shop, thus saving us $. Both the appointment for a bid and to do the actual work were made in a timely manner, and the technician (Braeden) did an excellent job on a white sofa (with a difficult texture) and on a living room area rug. We are thrilled with the outcome of both items. The overall price was quite fair and a good value. I'm aware that all small business owners have families to support so I am loathe to write negative reviews. But in this case, I wish I had paid more attention the the 1 star reviews here. I hired the company for upholstery cleaning which is also their business. Poor customer service, they needed to be 'chased' for pick up, missed commitment dates on completion by a lot twice and had to be 'chased' for follow up, cleaned the chairs incorrectly and now fabric ruined I will need reupholstery sooner rather than later. I guess is should have been a red flag that he required FULL payment in advance, not a deposit but full payment, and shared the tales of how his wife's area rug cleaning business had been stuck with rugs not paid for that they had to keep.  (I didn't wonder at the time but now in hindsight I do if they weren't paid for because customers were unhappy with outcome.) Therefore he required upholstery fully paid in advance. I didn't quibble about that. Shame on me. You might do what I did not do and consider the negative reviews seriously as I add my disappointment about Ultimate. The "plus list" is a short one so let's start with that. The owner was careful not to ruin wood legs when he moved the chairs from my house to his shop and back. Also he did acknowledge when he dropped them off that his company dropped the ball in follow up and he didn't think they had turned out great. But I'm still out a lot of money for the lousy work and now have to have the chairs reupholstered. I guess I wish I had read a true recounting of experience like ours before I made the mistake of hiring this company. You'll need to make your own decisions about whether it is a fit for you. I came to use them when I was looking for a service to clean ultrasuede, not microfiber but real unltrasuede, arm chairs. The first time I had them cleaned was eight years again and a company called Certified in Boise did them and did a fantastic job but the owner retired six years ago and the great quality business closed. Fast forward eight years and these chairs which got used a lot during covid days while we were home needed to be done again. I had a couple of people whose opinion I trust very much refer me to another upholstery cleaner - who also gets great reviews. That upholstery cleaner said they did microfiber but lacked the skill and resources for ultrasuede but nice enough to check with Ultimate who assured them and ultimately (no pun intended...OK maybe) me too that ultrasuede was in their wheelhouse and they would need to bring the chairs into their shop to do that. Of course. Just as Certified had done given what needs to be used on them. BTW, Certified required not even a deposit and payment only after completion. We made an appointment for pick up. They whiffed it entirely. I called them to follow up. Apologies about short and changing staff. I get it. They made the next commitment date and it was owner himself who arrived. We talked about the chairs and the high end manufacturer, who did the original upholstery, even had 'how to clean' instructions sown into the chair. He seemed uncertain when he looked at it and talked about microfiber. No, this is ultrasuede. Assuring us he knew how to do this, he even got us to agree to an extra "fabric preservation" finish he recommended even though I told him my goal was just to get another year or two of use of these great chairs before needing to reupholster given covid times supply chain and craftsman back ups meant it would be better to do reupholstery in a year or so. He took the chairs and did not meet his return commitment of a couple of weeks later. I called. Short handed, said the person who answered the phone and told me the chairs were not done and not on the schedule and then when I asked if the owner was in was asked to hold on and then was was told "sorry, he's not here". Then I was told the chairs weren't done because the owner wanted to do them himself. A few days later making contact with him he apologized for the delay but said he wanted to give them his personal attention. I suggested we just cancel the work and have the chairs and our prepayment returned. No, he said, I started them. When they were returned they looked miserable and as it turns out he had not followed the instructions for cleaning this kind of fabric. So it goes. My loss of several hundred dollars is my loss and it need not be yours. read more

I just talked to Jeremy and they,like many other places, have been having staffing issues. We got everything figured out and they will be cleaning my carpets. I have been using them for years and have always been extremely happy with their service. I'm sure that will be the case this time. I highly recommend them. I've had ultimate clean carpets and rugs for me, and they always do an amazing job. My dog likes to leave surprise pee spots for me and they've always been able to get the stain and smell out. I have clients who leave Boise for the winter and one in particular has a contract with Ultimate. They've never been ecstatic about the service but after this morning, they may cancel the contract altogether. I look after things in their absence and arranged a 10:00 appointment for this morning 3 weeks ago so the house would be ready for their return. I went to their home early to pick things up, sequester the pets and be ready for the 10:00 arrival of the cleaners. At 10:20 I called their office to find out why they were not there yet. The lady put me on hold while she called the technician and when she came back she said he apologized but he had been cleaning and lost track of time. WHAT?? He estimated it would be at least another 45 minutes. When he arrived, 90 minutes late, he said the previous job had added work at the last minute and he wasn't responsible for scheduling appointments and estimating times. I made sure he knew that the 90 minute delay had a domino effect and had caused me to cancel things I had already arranged, costing me money and I was not happy. I had spoken to the homeowners already and they were not pleased. He did the job in about an hour and 15 minutes and made sure to tell me that the only thing actually scheduled in the contract were two hallways but that he had done extra rooms, anyway. At no time did anyone attempt to contact me to let me know of any delay so my day was shot. The carpets look clean and the house smells very nice. For now. But I've been associated with this client and their carpets for almost 20 years and I know that many of the stains that aren't there now will be back within 2 days. I won't recommend this company to anyone based on my client's feedback over time and my experience today. read more

My mom and I had the carpet cleaned for my son and daughter-in-law here in Boise. We researched a number of carpet cleaners, and this one had excellent reviews. After experiencing Matt's excellent service, we can see why. Matt was a bit late, but he called ahead to let us know - very professional. He went through the house and listened closely as I detailed what I wanted done. He completed the job completely and efficiently. We were very pleased with the quality of the work and with the fact that there was no lingering odor, which was very important to our family with little ones. This is a bad carpet cleaning company. I recently purchased a home in meridian. The carpet was in great condition but there was a strong cat odor inside. I contacted ultimate carpet cleaning and scheduled a technician to come out. My realtor met the worker at my house. The technician called me on the phone and I voiced my concerns. I asked for a deep pad cleaning and he agreed. He also suggested that I do specific areas where the odor was strongest. I also agreed to that. He said it would be $450 total. I was a little discouraged by the price but I agreed anyway. One week later my property manager was showing the house and still noticed an extremely strong cat odor that was inside the whole entire residence. I called ultimate carpet cleaning and spoke with Justin who without my knowledge recorded our whole conversation. Justin advised me the technician did an surface cleaning only and did some spot treatments but if they had to return to the property it would be an additional price. I was already upset that they charged me close to $500 and the job was not done correctly not to mention the technician did not do what I asked. I specifically asked for a DEEP PAD CLEANING, when I mentioned this to Justin he's had nothing to s The owner Jeremy refused a refund and I was not about to have this company come back out and charge me more. Unfortunately people like me get taken advantage of like this and left with little options and bad customer service. I called a different carpet company I found here on yelp. We recently had our carpeting cleaned by Ultimate for the first time. Previously we have had several different rug cleaning companies all with varying degrees of "just OK". The reason we chose Ultimate is because of their expertise with pet urine stains. That became an issue when we adopted a little rescue dog named Charlie. They did a very thorough job, explained each step of the process and made sure we were completely satisfied. We would definitely recommend this company. They were a bit more expensive, but sometime you have to pay more to get more, and in this case it was worth it. read more

Ultimate came out and cleaned our carpets before we moved Into our home. There had been dogs living in the home and were some spots and some stink! Ultimate worked extra time and extra hard on those stains to get them out. I can't believe how much better our carpets looked and smelled. They also cleaned our microfiber couch that was looking so sad and matted. It looked and smelled so nice when they were done with it. This company absolutely lives up to the claims they make on their website -- professional, neat employees, on-time arrival, accessible customer service, and incredibly clean carpets. I was hugely impressed by Andy, the technician who came to clean the carpets in my rented townhouse. He explained all the options I had available to me in detail, talked about the services Ultimate Carpet Cleaning offers, asked me about my specific concerns, and actually listened to what I had to say. He was neat, polite, and knowledgeable. I had already moved the furniture that needed to be moved, but Ultimate will do that for you if you need them to. I was able to hang out in my home office and work while Andy took care of the carpets! The grooming rake they use is a fantastic tool, too. I have several pets, and all the hair came right up, which made the cleaning go faster and work way better. The pet odor treatment worked perfectly, too. The price is higher than the sort of company that sends mailers advertising $10 a room and hallways for free, but I find Ultimate's service and results well worth every penny. As a matter of fact, I considered rating them 4 stars rather than 5, just because of the price, but honestly, the service was excellent and the results great, so I can't begrudge the price -- 5 stars is justified. I paid $180 for the Deep Basic cleaning plus the Rotary Cleaner and the Minor Odor service (which was on sale); the total square footage I had cleaned was about 250 square feet. I will cheerfully pay it again in a year or two when the cats, dogs, and I have gotten the carpet dirty again. Overall, my carpets have never looked better -- not even right before I moved in! I had a 8:00 am appointment, to have my carpet cleaned, and two recliners cleaned. They were here right on time, and it went down hill from there. Shane walked around with his calculator, he then tells me that they have changed the way they charge.It is no longer a straight forward per square foot, They now have price packages, so you are charged a price for a package, and then extra for this and that. My wife and I are in our mid 70s and we put furniture sliders on the three chairs and six foot love seat, so we could move them out from the wall. so when he tells me there is an extra charge for them to push the furniture back against the wall. It wasn't the price, because I never got a total estimate. It was the Idea that they make it so confusing, instead of giving an honest and straight forward estimate. so here we sit with most of our furniture out in the patio, until we can find a legitimate carpet cleaner. read more

By far the best carpet cleaning experience I've ever had. Ultimate provided the most knowledgeable, trust-worthy, and professional service - with outstanding customer service - most importantly, the service was equally good after they finished cleaning and the bill was paid. My father's home had severe pet urine stains which they remediated in an entirely different way than other services that just spray the carpet fibers. Ultimate's treatment gets into the pad and treats where the urine smells start. 3 months later and no smell! We had tried 2 other services before and both failed us. They are more expensive, but in this case, you get more than what you pay for. read more

I've sent antique persian/middle eastern carpets to them twice (probably 6 carpets total). They do a great job both times.

They do a good job. The carpets ARE clean. (except for a few stains that they are coming back to treat for free) They were an hour late (apparently they had a company meeting) and I guess living in Kuna is like the other side of the planet. They even told me they likely would be late because we live sooo far out. (15 minutes from the interstate... okay) so I expected them to be late anyway. I was charged $427 to clean my SMALL house. which more than 1/2 is hardwood floors. (4 small bedrooms, and one average sized living room) they charged me a whole room for a 2x3 foot hallway. To me this is absolutely a ridiculous price. I wasn't given many options, other than things they kept wanting to add on. They offered to clean my 5x7 area rug- I thought they were being nice and were offering it complementary (since the price of the house was insane) and then they tell me that will be another $81- um, no thanks. At one point the bill was up to over $700- I had to put my foot down and start taking things off. (including my couch/loveseat which was one of the main things I wanted/needed cleaned) AlsoThey told me the stairs would be $3.50 each, I was charged $5 each. Oh and they don't move furniture unless you pay extra. I didn't expect them to move large furniture like couches, but they didn't even move a 5lb desk chair in my daughters room, they just went around it. (and left a area that OBVIOUSLY needed to be cleaned untouched) I felt totally taken advantage of. Yes, they do good work, but its at a premium price. I could have bought new carpet for what that cost. I won't be using or recommending them to anyone in the future. read more

Do Not recommend to any: I was not pleased with the service I received. I am moving into a new purchase and needed the carpets cleaned in the whole house. Including the carpets in both bathrooms (why anyone would put carpets in a bathroom to begin I am not sure). They offered a deep cleaning of the whole house for a higher price then just normal cleaning, but I thought it would be worth it so that the bathroom carpets and the carpets along all the baseboard / walls would be fully cleaned. Wrong...the bathrooms, which needed it the most, were not even touched. I could easily tell by the pieces of tissue that was on the one floor and in the other bathroom I was able to find the missing toilet roll holder as soon as I went in there and started cleaning it myself. The closets were not fully cleaned and still had spider webs that reached from the carpet up the wall-a large spread out web. All the carpets along the baseboards were still dusty and as I vacuumed along them I was able to pull up quite a bit of "stuff" that would have been picked if he had truly cleaned along there. I was never informed that they would not / could not reach the carpets that butted up against the baseboards. That is one of the reason I went with what I thought would be a professional cleaning because they should have the tools to reach those areas. I used this service about a year ago after reading the web sites about all of the ways they are better than other cleaners. This was the worst experience I have ever had with carpet cleaning. They showed up and added 3 additional services one of which was enhanced drying which I felt was the most important. The technician left after the last carpet was cleaned therefore the entire downstairs, the largest area did not get any enhanced drying. The carpet smelled terrible. It stayed wet for 48 hours with us using every fan we could find to get it dry. I bought a home carpet machine and redid the downstairs. Removed filthy water, dried in hours and no smell. Lots of hype, very expensive. Home machine did a much better job. read more

I've used Ultimate twice now for carpet cleaning and stretching. I won't use anyone else. They 'power stretched' my carpets as this is the 'correct' way to do it. I have friends that had their carpet stretched by others and now they are asking me for Ultimate's phone number because they need to do it again. All of the technician's who have been in my home have been polite, professional, hard working and done a great job including the owner, Jeremy. They take care around my furniture and if necessary they put it on protective blocks. They have arrived within the specified time. I always know up front how much it will cost me. Some people think that their prices are higher. I've used other carpet cleaners in the past that maybe were a little less and I can only say "you get what you pay for." They use very good equipment too. I recently took 3 carpet runners to their shop for cleaning. They did them twice because the first time wasn't up to their standards and still had them ready for me on time. The Office Manager, Leah, is a gem! Very professional and friendly.
