The owner/operator, Sean, who showed up 15 minutes early, came across as a courteous and affable individual. Asked him about how "pet safe" his cleaning agents/processes were for the household dogs here and he assured me that his company only used eco-friendly products. Not only was the price for the job reasonable but once he got set up, he was like a machine. Finished the entire job, including removing some stains on the living room carpet from the mud I had carelessly tracked in during the heavy rains a few weeks ago, in a relatively short time without cutting any corners. Things that make finding an affordable cleaner hard: - Small apartment (I have a studio ~150 sq ft): cleaners have minimums in sq ft (~300) or in price (~$200) - Downtown high-rise/no street parking: they need to bring a portable unit (at least my building has an elevator) Big takeaway: after 2 hours of searching it looked like a small studio would've cost me around $200... until Sean! $75 for my studio, $90 for a neighbor's 500 sq ft 1 bedroom unit is INSANELY good pricing and literally for that alone it's a 5-star review. About the actual cleaning: Sean got out all the major spots/stains I pointed out. Please note though, I do this roughly once a year and don't wear shoes indoors, nor do I have any pets and I don't smoke, so my carpet isn't ever insanely dirty before a cleaning. BONUS points: - came 15 minutes early to drop off his stuff and then find parking (I'm used to cleaners setting a window of minimum 1 hour and then often calling to change or delay; no one's ever come EARLY) - left a bottle of carpet cleaner for future spills - offered to help move the furniture back in places - cleaned a rug I had at no extra charge 2 other things to note: - Sean asks that you vacuum first (some places I've worked with have included the pre-vacuumed first, but honestly at this price again I don't care) - Sean uses rotary cleaner method rather than hot water extraction, so he doesn't need a hookup to tons of water, which was great because I could pack a lot more furniture into my over-sized bathroom, knowing he didn't need to switch out, and because this leaves your carpet less wet so it dries quicker. We were about to move into a new house and wanted the pretty clean carpets (there were zero major stains) cleaned professionally. I really appreciate the low moisture aspect of the cleaning which is why I picked Sean. I am a physician who treats pts for mold illness so I know all about how water of any kind can lead to mold. We paid $260 for 1 master bedroom and small walk in closet, straight stairs, two upstairs bedroom and a small hallway uniting them. I thought this was a bit expensive especially since there were no stains to "work on" and there were only a few areas in the home that had carpet. I had multiple issues with scheduling. Docked one start because of the issues with scheduling (I booked online, got confirmed, he called me and said he couldn't do that time, I picked a time that didn't really work for me instead but was good for him, called him back and rescheduled for a time that was much better for both of us, but he didn't show up to that time, so we had to reschedule for the next day) and he also left some equipment at our house for 5 days on the front porch... we didn't notice since we were in and out of the house through the garage and traveling. I had to actually text him to come pick it up! I was surprised he wasn't missing his equipement... I would use again for the service (which is why I gave four stars) but just be aware of possible scheduling issues. Also, he was coughing up a storm when he came and did the actual service (in my opinion, if you're sick you shouldn't be working). My husband who was home while the service was being done was concerned. He called me said he was trying to keep his distance from the coughing and air out the house. I would rate less stars due to all these reasons, but the carpets are cleaned at the end of the day. We would consider calling him again. read more
