In addition, he offered to fix some small issues with the wood floor surrounding the hearth. The work was scheduled within a week and his employee Corey spent several full days on our project. Corey did an expert job - the new fireplace tile looks great - and was very careful to protect our adjacent flooring. We'd hire Quatto again for any similar job.

We hired him and his father to build us an outdoor kitchen. They quoted us 6 to 8 weeks in the beginning and we were very patient with him all last summer when we started the project. All the sudden they started dragging their heels and things weren't getting done. Messages would go unanswered and he would say he was coming and not show up. Matt had issues with the countertops to begin with and changed to butcher block assuring us that the butcher block was made for outdoors. We never even got to use the kitchen before the countertops were completely cracked and warped . Instead of fixing it he knocked the price down because he did not want to have to take care of the countertops. We did agree and asked him if he could at least come and fix the concrete that wasn't setting right. After I realized what a nightmare job he did on the pizza oven I asked him if he could repair it, not once did he answer me or acknowledge the issues with the pizza oven. He told me prior to us hiring that he had indeed built another pizza oven. I am doubting that at this point since the pizza oven is now cracking and heat and smoke ks coming out of the cracks. This pizze oven also smokes from the front when the smoke should be going out of the chimney. After researching I found out that a chimney for a pizza oven needs to be a minimum of 6 inches in diameter and he put a 3 inch flue on there. This whole process has been a disaster. The bricks are now falling off on the kitchen sides and we have continually had to glue them back on. We had another contractor out to finish the countertops for us and he pointed out that the kitchen sink is not plumbed right and there's no way to blow out the pipes ao they won't freeze. They also put no insulation around pipes going to the house.

These guys did a horrible job! In haste when removing the baseboards holes were made in the walls…read moreand the baseboards were destroyed. While the flooring was being installed I questioned why all the cross seams were all even, in other words not staggered, the reply was that this way the way the boards came. Next to my bathtub and the exit to the garage 3/16" areas (strips) were left without flooring-just gaps which I had to fill and fix myself. They made a mess cutting the wood and made no attempt at any cleanup. I had to pay them to install new baseboards even though they destroyed what was there. Their work in installing the baseboards was lousy. They did not caulk the nail holes and they did not use a sponge or anything to remove the caulk they got all over the walls. Some of baseboard cuts and installation were so sloppy that I have had to pay to have them redone. Why would I do that. When I called them back to fix the things I was aware of I was told that if they came back they would charge me! This company is a young man 22-24 years old who this thinks he knows everything and his assistant, a more patient person but the one who advised me I would be charged for further service AKA completing the job. Last but not least I have discovered (by a pro contractor) that the door thresh holds were improperly installed so that the flooring would not float as it should. Hire this company at your own risk PS I am located in Nampa Idaho not California as Yelp shows

I do not recommend DeGrange for several reasons:…read more - The floor is not level, and the surface coating that was used scratches easily and is not holding up like our previous oil based product. - Knots are not filled in properly. - There are depressions where knots were filled in or drawn on, as one of your employees filled them with the wrong color of filler, and then people had to use markers to hide things. - We still have bleed back of clear coat in certain areas. - There are dimples throughout the clear coat as it was put on thick, and you can see it foamed. - Swirl marks under the clear coat where it was buffed too aggressively. - Almost all rounded edges up against the carpet are all jagged and have blue tape and carpet fibers stuck in them. Quoting Ryan here: And if there are any issues caused by us then of course we will fix them if needed. He has not stood by his work, nor his word, and took money and ran. My first engagement with Ryan was him coming by the house to quote us on refinishing our hickory hardwood floor. He told me he would have a crew of people, that it would be 95-98% dustless, that we could get the color we wanted, that things would be level everywhere, and that the top coat would be extremely hard like our original oil based coating, as it would be a hybrid oil/water based product. We were quoted one week to get things done, possibly a Saturday. It took nearly 3 weeks, lots of me asking if they can fix issues, and more. Each time I was given excuses or reasons why things were the way they were. The last time they were at my house was April 30th, 2024. Decided to give it some time and reached out on June 26th, asking for someone to come by so we could walk through the remaining issues and see what could be done. I received no response. My wife called on July 1st and left a voicemail asking for some follow up, and that has also gone unanswered.
