Columbia has a SOLID Texas style BBQ joint...Boot Stompin' BBQ. It was late afternoon when I…read morearrived and Bobby (Pitmaster) warmly greeted me and we started talking about BBQ. I like to sample a variety, so I went with the Bobby's Usual of brisket, jalapeño cheddar sausage, and pulled pork with Bobo's Hot Corn + Hillbilly Beans. He offered onions, pickles, and jalapeños as side condiments along with their homemade BBQ sauce. I initially sampled the meats without sauce, but I have to say the sweet/smoky flavor of the sauce is a great compliment to the meats. You can tell Bobby learned his trade from Texas...solid brisket with a thin fat cap with a nice peppery crust. The pulled pork was perfect...moist and tender but still maintaining firmness. While the sausage is not made in-house, you could have fooled me. Nice crispy skin with a good jalapeño kick and plenty of cheese. The sides are exceptional! I loved the sweetness of the beans, and the Bobo Corn (I believe it's grandma's recipe) was addicting. Don't let the name fool you...there's a little heat, but the flavors are wonderful. I chopped a bit of onion and pork into the beans, a great flavor combination. The atmosphere is bright and open with some Texas decor...great place for family. Really good food and excellent service from this TX style BBQ spot...looking forward to my next visit to Columbia for more.

Delicious, and a reason to stop by the Factory in Columbia. Thanks so much for the delicious meal!

Hidden off the main road, Alex's Tacos & Wings looks like the kind of place you'd expect to uncover…read morea local treasure. Unfortunately, the food was just okay. My colleague and I both ordered the lunch special: three tacos with rice and refried beans. I chose tilapia, shrimp, and chicken. The tilapia was the clear winner. Well-seasoned and cooked properly. The shrimp and chicken? Dry and short on flavor. My colleague had steak, beef, and chicken tacos and came to the same conclusion. The proteins were serviceable, but nothing memorable. And that's really the theme here: average. Not bad. Not great. Just average. The bigger question is whether this is a taco restaurant or a wing restaurant. The menu seems to have an identity crisis, and after eating the tacos, I'm wondering if the wings are actually the star of the show. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing. Maybe the magic is in the wings. As for the tacos, they were fine.

I was craving an asada burrito bowl, and even though it wasn't listed on the menu, the team happily obliged and made it exactly how I wanted. The carne asada was fresh, perfectly seasoned, and super tasty. The grilled veggies were cooked to perfection with just the right char and flavor, and their hot sauce was absolutely on point--added that perfect kick without overpowering everything. Every bite was delicious! Taco Azteca is a fantastic choice for a quick, satisfying meal. Bonus points for the small seating area behind the truck if the weather isn't too hot. I'll definitely be back soon and can't recommend them enough!

They did a nice job making it seem like a destination, rather than a truck in a parking lot. There is another tiny sandwich shop across the lot if you have a family who needs more than 1 menu. Known for their Azteca Fries, but we didn't try those. The guacamole and chips were both fresh, made to order. Our party tried Al pastor and chicken tacos, both really good served with lime and cilantro. Rice and beans were pretty basic, tasty but nothing special. Quick service for how fresh everything was. Will definitely be back!

This is our first time here, and this is a difficult review to write because the food is great but…read morethe atmosphere is greatly lacking. We absolutely love their chicken enchiladas and Chile relleno, and the tostados, rice, and beans were yummy too. The tamale could have used a little more filling and the mole' a little more depth, but all of the food surpassed our expectations by far especially for Mexican food in Columbia, TN. Now for the not so good, the dining area is not where you want to hang out. I totally understand why there are so many to go orders. ALL of the booth seats are ripped, there's way too much clutter at the entry, no one needs a gum machine, or random sports gear unless you are a sports bar or catering to kids. I would move 'every' item out, paint the entire room so it's clean, but doesn't smell of floor disinfectant, do a deep clean on the sticky tables and menus, and other table items. Then I would only move the necessary items back into the room. Ahhh a place we all want to dine. Also, while we were there a broom and dustpan were left leaning against one of the tables for an extended period of time. This is just a lack of training. Attention to detail is the key to success. This would be a five star place if it felt more inviting instead of like my spare bedroom where everything goes that I'm not quite ready to part with yet. The Pepper Popper Burger was outstanding--juicy smash burger patties topped with spicy cream cheese, bacon, jalapeño poppers, and hot pepper bacon jam. It hit that perfect balance of savory, smoky, sweet, and spicy without any one flavor overpowering the others. The burger was cooked perfectly and loaded with flavor in every bite. The crispy Brussels sprouts were a pleasant surprise and paired really well with the burger. I do wish they had some sort of sauce to dip them in or to pour over. They were certainly good on their own. The pork rinds were fresh, light, and crispy--not greasy at all. They made for a great appetizer and were perfect for sharing. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, the food came out quickly, and everything tasted fresh. Eighth & Main is definitely worth a visit. I'll be back!
