In August 2020, I bought (27) Silfab solar panels and (27) Enphase inverters that Blu Solar…read moreinstalled at my residence. Due to the extensive tree cover above the home, the panels do not receive enough direct sunlight to generate a meaningful amount of energy for my use. Pre-installation, when I informed the owner of Blu Solar, Mr. Harrison, that I did not want solar panels on my home if it meant cutting down any trees, he assured me that the panels would work well if I trimmed tree limbs and branches every few years. He knew this to be false, but went ahead with installing the panels, after I incurred the expense of hiring a tree trimming service. Since the solar panels have been online, two independent experts have inspected the tree coverage above my home and they agree that generating a meaningful amount of electricity, enough to cover average utility needs, would require cutting down several trees. They also agree that my location is not a suitable site for installing a solar system and confirmed that good business practice in the solar industry is to inform the customer of this significant limitation and not install a system as it would not perform to expectations. I am an environmentalist. In 2015, I received a Master of Arts in Urban Sustainability, and currently serve in a municipal government sustainability office where I create programs that focus on lessening the City's GHG emissions and environmental impact. This is why I was so insistent during my initial consultation with Blu Solar, that I was not interested in installing solar panels if this would require me to cut down any trees. Mr. Harrison and Blu Solar knowingly deceived me into purchasing their solar panels for $30,000 plus the cost of 30 years of financing and now refuse to allow me to return the product and terminate the loan agreement. I requested the cancellation of my contract with Blu Solar in March 2021 and asked them to remove the panels from my roof. However, after months of delay, Blu Solar offered to remedy my complaint by cutting down my trees. This is an outcome that I made clear was unacceptable to me, and that they'd assured me would not be necessary. I was conned into entering into a loan agreement for $48,013.53, which requires me to make monthly payments for 30 years, in order to purchase solar panels that cannot generate meaningful amounts of electricity for my use. My energy bill to the local utility has never changed in the year since the installation so I now pay for energy utility AND solar panels purchase. This is just not fair, and companies should not be permitted to do this to unwitting consumers. Since beginning down this road with Blu Solar, I have learned that it is standard practice in the solar industry (in fact, it is mandated in some states) to provide potential customers with a written proposal including: · An estimated return on investment (in years and months) · A production guarantee · Estimated kWh production · Estimated monthly savings, in dollars · Comparison between my current utility bill and the post-solar utility bill · Explanation of how to read my new bill and how the Net Energy Metering program works I received none of the above from Blu Solar! To resolve this issue, I want the contract cancelled, solar panels and inverters and wiring system removed, and all roof penetrations sealed.

From the top rate sales people, customer service people, installers, and technicians. Over & above courteous. Their…read moresystem hasn't produced any electricity in 7 years and Hannah will not send anyone to fix it. I was asked to come take a look and see if I can help. It was quite literally the worst electrical work I've ever seen. There were no permits pulled, there wasn't even an AC disconnect anywhere. The electrical work was done with electric tape, which has now disintegrated. One of the panels appears to have caught on fire. The electrical wiring was never ran to the meter, after further investigation the wiring is running to the back of an HVAC unit on a 50 amp breaker. To put this in plain terms, this system would have never worked, and if it did, it would have burned down a multi-million dollar restaurant. Please do not use this company.

Avoid at all costs. I purchased a PWRcell ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM FROM GENERAC system from them LY…read more($45K). The salesperson made grand promises that they did not honor. One promise was that we would have to "use more energy" to keep up with the production of the system. Some basic promises were that the system would support my power needs and provide temporary (12hrs) of battery backup in the event of power loss. We've had a painful installation process with them, including three after the fact visits to reinstall incorrectly installed portions of the project. The individual installers were either untrained or lacked communication and guidance from Hanna. When they finally "fixed" the problem it was a newly hired master electrician (first day on the job). So no, after tracking YoY power savings, we have none. Literally no change to my YoY consumption and spend on our electric bill with the PWRcell ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEM FROM GENERAC installed. After multiple contacts with Hanna solar they have nothing (no response). I even escalated to Hannah's CEO (Peter Marte) with ZERO response to address the issue. If you want to experience solar for the first time and truly feel like it is a boondoggle, use this company. Otherwise, stay away. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!…read more I do not understand why the cancellation process is such a hassle?!?! We decided not to go through with the project and cancelled LAST YEAR. Maybe our sales rep (Roosevelt) dropped the ball on sending the cancellation in, who knows. What I do know..... WE DID NOT GET SOLAR PANELS INSTALLED, NOR DID WE RECEIVE ANY FUNDS TO DO SO. There was absolutely no work done, but I have a lien on my property and no one can explain why it's there or how long "underwriting" will take to verify the cancellation. I also do not understand how I can call into the customer service department only to get conflicting answers as to what the process is to get a resolution. After speaking with Malcolm on 2/29 and Oscar and Lorena (supervisor) yesterday and I still can't get any assistance on getting this lien off of our property. For some odd reason, NO ONE that I can speak to in customer service has ANY POSSIBLE way to contact the financial department to help get this situation rectified. Basically, "trust that we'll get it done, maybe, at some point, because we've been so trustworthy up to this point". None of this makes any sense to me...the lack of communication, the process, or the difficulty in getting this handled. Freedom saying the project is cancelled, but our underwriting department doesn't know it yet is CRAZY to me. Lorena was very adamant about making sure that no one else (Mosaic) would hear her say that the project was cancelled. The situation comes off as RETALIATION for canceling the project. How can I have a lien on my property without owing any money and not having any solar panels installed??? By definition of what a lien is for, there should not be one on my property from this company. I wonder if the BBB would agree with what seems like retaliation. Judging from the reviews...it seems as if the ONLY people that have problems with this company are the ones trying to cancel. IT SHOULD NOT BE THIS DIFFICULT........

This is my 2nd review after talking with several people from this company over the past few weeks…read more I REPEAT....DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. This is a legit company however they scam you with their words making you believe something that isn't. I was basically scammed into purchasing a solar system with them via the lies of I get a 30% back rebate check which was proven to be a lie. You actually just get a tax credit. The 2nd lie was that this solar bill replaces your electric bill which was another complete lie. I should have known this was to good to be true but the salesman had me convinced and believing that my monthly bill would be cut in half. I'm not say don't go solar however what I'm saying is don't utilize this company. I would like to add that Freedom Forever is a horrible company. The customer service overall is sickening. The communication suck as well. This is just the beginning of the reviews i am about to post on every platform that I can. I've had to go through several obstacles to even get to this point. Btw I do appreciate Donovan for reaching back out to me. Your company needs to do a better job of communicating with their customers until service is up and running and informing them on how to monitor and/or operate was has been installed. From the beginning I should have known this was too good to be true. You all lie and decieve people into buying yall solar system. Bottom line this company lies to you to get you into a contract. JUST SAY NO TO THIS PARTICULAR COMPANY.

We did a lot of research before we decided on Beyond Solar. They were one of 7 companies we got quotes from. Even after having visited many websites and gotten some quotes we were not really sure. However, after having asked them tons of questions and gotten good answers, we felt that their company was the one we felt most comfortable with. Before we made up our minds, I went to one of their clients and got a run-down on his experience and he was very pleased. They were not the lowest in terms of price, but among the best priced. However, they offered a wide range of options and customization and help that we felt very comfortable with them. We factored in price, know-how and interest to help us. The install crew was very professional and polite and even cleaned up everything after themselves and were very knowledgeable and meticulous about everything. They also brought a gas-driven power generator to keep our fridge/freezer and other things powered up while they had the mandatory down time to install the inverter. Overall, we're very happy with them and can totally recommend them for solar power installations.
