From the patient educational discussions by Chaia Lewis, to her excellent sizing of the system she designed, to Seth Gunning and his careful oversight of the design and installation of the array, I could not have asked for a better experience. Even now that we are up and running, the whole team continues to be utterly responsive and helpful. The important part is the everything I was told by SunPath Solar to expect has been accurate, including the post install bills which have now come in from Georgia Power .They actually are down to what I was told they would be. I trusted this company and they have not disappointed. This is a large system for a residential rooftop array. It looks terrific on the roof- my architect better half and I both think it improves the look of the roof. The sophistication of the solar-plus- battery system is even better. After 20 plus years with no generator back up, the first power outage was a cause for celebration. We had to look on the phone app to see that the batteries had taken over. Just, wow! I have wanted to have solar for some years now just for the environmental benefit but working through SunPath Solar has allowed me to both help the environment and benefit my finances.

From the moment I reached out to Sunpath I knew this was the right fit. Professional, knowledgeable, and responsive every single step of the way. They really helped put my mind at ease and walked me through everything with true care. Couldn't be happier with the end result and have recommended them several times already!

In August 2020, I bought (27) Silfab solar panels and (27) Enphase inverters that Blu Solar…read moreinstalled at my residence. Due to the extensive tree cover above the home, the panels do not receive enough direct sunlight to generate a meaningful amount of energy for my use. Pre-installation, when I informed the owner of Blu Solar, Mr. Harrison, that I did not want solar panels on my home if it meant cutting down any trees, he assured me that the panels would work well if I trimmed tree limbs and branches every few years. He knew this to be false, but went ahead with installing the panels, after I incurred the expense of hiring a tree trimming service. Since the solar panels have been online, two independent experts have inspected the tree coverage above my home and they agree that generating a meaningful amount of electricity, enough to cover average utility needs, would require cutting down several trees. They also agree that my location is not a suitable site for installing a solar system and confirmed that good business practice in the solar industry is to inform the customer of this significant limitation and not install a system as it would not perform to expectations. I am an environmentalist. In 2015, I received a Master of Arts in Urban Sustainability, and currently serve in a municipal government sustainability office where I create programs that focus on lessening the City's GHG emissions and environmental impact. This is why I was so insistent during my initial consultation with Blu Solar, that I was not interested in installing solar panels if this would require me to cut down any trees. Mr. Harrison and Blu Solar knowingly deceived me into purchasing their solar panels for $30,000 plus the cost of 30 years of financing and now refuse to allow me to return the product and terminate the loan agreement. I requested the cancellation of my contract with Blu Solar in March 2021 and asked them to remove the panels from my roof. However, after months of delay, Blu Solar offered to remedy my complaint by cutting down my trees. This is an outcome that I made clear was unacceptable to me, and that they'd assured me would not be necessary. I was conned into entering into a loan agreement for $48,013.53, which requires me to make monthly payments for 30 years, in order to purchase solar panels that cannot generate meaningful amounts of electricity for my use. My energy bill to the local utility has never changed in the year since the installation so I now pay for energy utility AND solar panels purchase. This is just not fair, and companies should not be permitted to do this to unwitting consumers. Since beginning down this road with Blu Solar, I have learned that it is standard practice in the solar industry (in fact, it is mandated in some states) to provide potential customers with a written proposal including: · An estimated return on investment (in years and months) · A production guarantee · Estimated kWh production · Estimated monthly savings, in dollars · Comparison between my current utility bill and the post-solar utility bill · Explanation of how to read my new bill and how the Net Energy Metering program works I received none of the above from Blu Solar! To resolve this issue, I want the contract cancelled, solar panels and inverters and wiring system removed, and all roof penetrations sealed.

We did a lot of research before we decided on Beyond Solar. They were one of 7 companies we got quotes from. Even after having visited many websites and gotten some quotes we were not really sure. However, after having asked them tons of questions and gotten good answers, we felt that their company was the one we felt most comfortable with. Before we made up our minds, I went to one of their clients and got a run-down on his experience and he was very pleased. They were not the lowest in terms of price, but among the best priced. However, they offered a wide range of options and customization and help that we felt very comfortable with them. We factored in price, know-how and interest to help us. The install crew was very professional and polite and even cleaned up everything after themselves and were very knowledgeable and meticulous about everything. They also brought a gas-driven power generator to keep our fridge/freezer and other things powered up while they had the mandatory down time to install the inverter. Overall, we're very happy with them and can totally recommend them for solar power installations.

Good quality. Incredible Salesmanship…read more When you enter a solar installation agreement, you're entering into a long-term business relationship: there is a months-long installation process, followed by the years of workmanship guarantee and technical support. You don't want this with these guys. Run the other way. We're fans of the underdog and tried to give the "local" provider a chance -- even if it seemed a bit pricier. Chris Reilly and Don Tonic are not reliable. We gave the thumbs up at the end of April, signed at the start of May, confirmed that the June deadline of worked for them, and we didn't have "fully" functional panels until December. We paid in full, months ago. We lost our locked mortgage interest rate because the project was delayed. Even now, Don Tonic, the owner and president of the company, will schedule calls where he doesn't show up. He actively ignores texts. The only project progress we've had has been by asking one of his employees to come by. Don Tonic is not responsive. When Don did communicate, he spent a full month repeating: "It will be finished tomorrow." What was particularly infuriating about this was that he would refuse to schedule the team to come out for two days instead of one, insisting that they would finish in one day. He did this over and over, for over a month. That's right: even though he was clearly wrong every single time, he continued to ignore questions, and repeat the same deaf line of "we only need one day", and then delay the scheduling that he is in charge of. We have a 10kW array that yielded max 2kWh a day, despite sunny weather and lack of shade. For non-technical folks: that is very little output given the number of panels we purchased -- even when you account for facing West and a 45 degree tilt. Now the panels have a ground-fault, so zero production. I'm happy to share text conversations with him + pics of the array. I will say the handiwork looks great, since the panels are all black. That said, they made an extra couple of holes in the house without asking us. Their clean-up attempts were rushed because, as noted above, they hadn't even got the panels to work. Go with the company that has a contract clause which protects your production guarantee. Or another small company. It's incredibly exhausting to have to follow up with these guys every day for just the bare minimum. In the warmest sense, it's hurtful. In the coldest sense, this is a business transaction and they are in breach of contract, and apparently, they do not seem to care. I'm giving them two stars because, despite the flexibility they showed at the beginning of the process, in the end: Do the solar panels work? Not right now. Did we lose our interest rate? Yes. Is Solar Plus going to repair the ground fault? Doesn't look like it. Are they still in breach of contract? Yes. Are they responsive about it? No. Are there other options? Yes.
