I was glad to find this place and stopped in a few times to load up on charcuterie boards, snacks, and drinks for the weekend. I'd recommend stopping here if you're in the area and want to grab essentials or snacks for the road.

As long as the place is semi-clean, the staff isn't rude, I'm pretty much good. Oh, and there's one other thing... The windshield washer fluid and squeegee situation at the pumps. I hate when there's no washer fluid. I hate when there hasn't been washed or fluid for days and there's cobwebs holding the squeegee in the reservoir. Typically when I pull into a convenience store the first thing I check is the washer fluid because that's the first thing I do.. if there isn't any, I go somewhere else. If there is I wash my windshield I fill up with gasoline and I typically go inside and buy some snacks. I'm guessing you can judge by the number of stars I just left, that this particular location doesn't have any.

The gas pumps indicated that customers had to pay inside rather than at the pump. I side was one older man cashier and two people working the sandwich counter. I asked the older man whether they were understaffed and told him about the garbage problems. He barely responded.

This work should have been a 1 day job and cost $500, but I was told by one of the acting manager's (Hailey) they had trouble getting the part and that it would be ready 3 days later at $900. When I picked up the car, after 4 more days of having to call them to find out if the work was done, there was a large scratch running down my passenger's side door and my keys were held ransom until I paid the price quoted for the work to be done at the initial estimated time of 3 days. I heard multiple excuses each day why the work was not done on time and heard everything from: ordered wrong part, the old part broke trying to remove it, and they needed two days to get a drill bit to drill out the piece that snapped off. When I arrived at the location to pick up the car I contacted the Saugerties PD, and there was nothing they could do for a civil matter other than make an incident report. The only manager whose name is posted on the wall (Markos Peratikos) is not present at this location and was not available by phone when the police were summoned over the dispute - despite having spoken to him the day before to report the issue. I was standing there, in the shop forced to call the absentee manager because the acting manager (John Smith) refused to call him claiming he was "in a meeting." This was around 7pm in the evening. I specifically requested Markos call me back when I spoke to him earlier in the day to let me know how much I would be charged when I showed up to pick up the car. I never received a call back after leaving multiple voice messages before going to the location which is about an hour from where I live as this was an unexpected pulley failure. This place is a scam and absolute nightmare. I would never go back to a Monro anywhere after this experience. It pains me to write this as I from the Hudson Valley and saddened to witness how badly the commercial incompetence crisis has blighted this area. I am considering filing a claim with the court. These people should be ashamed of themselves and give decent mechanics everywhere a bad reputation. Be warned, if you value your time and capital stay away from this place. Needless to say they are not registered with the better business bureau.

Well, they sold me a battery then said they weren't comfortable swapping them out. They recommended a nearby shop but, once I drove there, that shop refused to install someone else's battery and wanted to charge me over $700 which seemed really fishy. So I was stuck with a $200 battery and a truck I couldn't turn off. Gave someone else a call and they recommended E. Mower & Son. These mechanics couldn't have been nicer. They saw the bind I was in and took care of me right away at a more-than-reasonable price. I was so blown away and I can't recommend this place enough!

This search proved much more difficult than I thought it would be. Most of the places that I found online had phone numbers that were no longer in service or there had been no activity on their websites for a while. When I phoned Shining Eagle, the voicemail robotically repeated the number I just had dialed, so thinking that it was no longer a business, I dropped the call without leaving a message. Within minutes, I had a callback. At this point, I was just so happy to talk to a real person, that I decided to just go with it. The gentleman was very professional; he asked questions about the vehicle, the shape it was in, and what I wanted to have done. We agreed on a day/time and price. I sent a follow-up text confirming the info with the address. About 15 minutes before he was scheduled to arrive, he texted, apologizing to say he would be slightly late due to an unforeseen family situation and asked if his new ETA (30-45 minutes later) would still work. He then arrived at the new agreed-upon time. Once here, he didn't waste any time. I learned that he has been detailing cars for about a decade. Clearly, it is a real passion. He had everything he needed and was incredibly organized. We again reviewed the objectives at the car and then then for the next 3 1/2 hours, he worked non-stop. He is serious, focused and meticulous. When he was done, I barely recognized the finished product. It isn't just clean, it is restored. I highly recommend this company!

They asked me to try to resolve it with Stewart's before I put in an official claim. So I called and "tried" to speak to a manager. She was borderline yelling and talking over me, wouldn't really let me finish a sentence, saying " No one spent $125 here I was here all day." She wouldn't do anything except yell at me apparently. So I put in a claim with my bank and waiting for that to go through. Moral of the story: I no longer trust Stewart's on Lucas Ave because there is no clarity as to what happened to the $125.00. It's too bad because I've been a customer there for 20+ years. Never again!

I let him know that I needed a Full synthetic oil change and he let me see a menu on what my options were. I chose the best one they had and he said I could either stay in my car or wait in their comfortable lobby. I chose to sit in my car and enjoy my conversation that I was already having. He quickly started on the process, with a smile letting me know what was going on each step of the way I felt like I was in a commercial totally felt like a VIP customer. I mean, it always seems expensive there, and probably for good measure. I never see a car there no matter how many times I pass it every day. When I swiped my card, I didn't see the difference in price signs above the machine, and the angle of the signs just made things more horrible. I heard about your five cents off card, but for that, it acts like a credit card - not something that should be touted all over. I was unaware at first that your machines would sound out about Valero's services when I came to pump, and when the pumps just didn't start at a reasonable time, I almost put the pump back and walk away. The voices sounded too lifelike, but at first it almost seemed like you were speaking to your customers from inside using this system and that's something I just don't like. I couldn't believe that even before pumping, the pumps asked if I wanted a receipt. I don't like pumps asking before - in my book, that's considered - pushing the sale, and isn't acceptable. Hearing all this, really made me wonder if I'll ever be back. I know about your competitor next door, but even other Valero's I've visited in the last year don't act this same way and I can sometimes favor them in lieu of your gas pumps.

He gave her a hard time for not staying in line in her car, guess sitting in a car for 2.5 hours wasn't acceptable to him. I myself am a double amputee and had a hard time sitting in the same position for that length of time. Yes signs are clearly posted to stay in your car....I get it. But 2.5 hours is unacceptable. Kid needs to spend less time on his phone and pay more attention to the customers. He should be apologizing and not scolding, specifically the elderly.
