What I found interesting were two cleaning staff who were working to close off tables and chairs in spite of multiple people standing around waiting for food and looking for places to sit. As soon as someone got up, they took the chairs and flipped them up on the tables and started cleaning with the clear message of do not use the area. The man and woman closed off half of the sitting space. It was not even 8pm. You can see in the picture that they are aggressively cleaning around the table we just left to close it off. They were cleaning around us while we ate and I was mindful to keep the area clean and we are very quickly once we got the food. The vibe they gave was clearly to make us feel uncomfortable as "being in the way" and make us leave without verbally asking. This is supposed to be a 24hr rest stop if I'm not wrong.

This time, we pulled in for a bathroom break and to let my dog stretch her legs and get a walk in. We ordered the Chick-fil-A grilled nuggets, the grilled chicken club sandwich, the cool grilled chicken wrap, and a large waffle fries. Everything was very good. There was also a lady in the restroom who was constantly cleaning, which I really appreciated.

Once upon a time, this place was a beacon for the weary traveler: cheap gas, hot coffee, the promise of a Subway sandwich assembled by human hands. Now it is merely a stage where apathy performs its endless matinee. The gas attendant, tethered to his phone like a life-support machine for boredom, filled my tank without once acknowledging that I too was a living creature. In New Jersey, where we are not trusted to pump our own gas, this adds insult to injury. Inside, the atmosphere was that of a small-town post office at closing time, with fluorescent lights buzzing like anxious bees over a clerk who looked as if enthusiasm had been outlawed. My coffee was sold with the sort of resigned detachment one might expect from a mortician. The Subway counter stood empty, a ghost kitchen in the most literal sense, with no artist to craft a footlong, only the echo of long-gone lunch breaks. And then, the restroom. Ah, the restroom. To call it "acceptable" would be to commit a crime against adjectives. It served its function, I suppose, in the way that a leaky umbrella still technically keeps the rain off one's head. Still, it is what it is: a place to refuel, refill, and reconsider your life choices. You can get food. You can get gas. You can use the facilities. But you will not get joy, nor even a smile.

Just a little customer service fact, after I tank up and pay $750 for diesel and get a $2 cup of coffee and be asked to dump the same cup of coffee because my driver was a dollar short. Not good experience at all. Remember drivers are 7 days a week on the road, that takes diesel, show a little appreciation next time. Thank you!

From my past review, you can see I…read moreobviously wasn't the biggest fan of the place, but this morning's experience was the icing on the never-visiting-this-station-again cake. I was just beginning a long drive south, so I figured I'd fill my tank before hitting the highway. It's really convenient coming from Kings Highway, especially when the plan is to turn right onto Route 40. I pulled in and noticed a queue of five cars and only one attendant. Despite preferring self service, I remained patient and waited my turn. I had half a tank of gas, so I knew it wouldn't take long to pump, and it didn't. About ten minutes later, when the guy returned to take my cash, I had my $15.11 ready for him. I specifically held up my money and said, "Please do not round up. I have exact change." He looked at me, blinked, paused, and without a word started to pump it up toward $16! All the while I protested that he was being super rude and I shouldn't have to pay an extra $0.89! His only reply? "You owe me $16." NO, I actually did NOT owe you that! While attaining my $4 change (gave him a $20), I reiterated how rude I thought he was, and he just shrugged and walked away. I realize I'm talking about less than a buck, but that's a crock of bull. I'll be checking to see if there's a Sunoco corporate contact because I want them to create clear signage that says "No matter what, we will round up to the next full dollar amount if you pay in cash. No coins allowed." The kicker? Check my last review! That time they topped off my tank, passed the dollar, and expected me to fish out an extra nickel. Like way to be consistent. Consistent in being a horrible gas station. Screw convenience. This place will never get my money again. Update October 15, 2017: I was in contact with corporate for Sunoco. They did not apologize. They did call me "Mrs." They told me they were mailing me a $5 gift card. They never did. I followed up 12 days ago to request an ETA on the gift card, and they did not reply. I am totally appalled that nothing was done and they lied about reimbursing me. Shame on you, Sunoco.
