Kelly walked me through all of the features of the Pioneer head unit and I felt comfortable on my own (I'm pretty tech savvy but technology changes frequently, and unless you work in tech, this walk-thru was necessary although brief) to work the item. A week or two later, I wasn't happy with the quality of the camera I purchased, so the guys did an exchange for me to a higher quality product. Fast forward to a few months later - my neighbor (in the city) politely informed me that my alarm was sensitive and if a loud car went by, the alarm would go off (as it should!) and I said I would get the sensitivity adjusted ASAP. Easy fix - John adjusted it, and it was absolutely PERFECT! Thank you SOTS for earning my business since '95!

Yesterday, February 6th they call to let me know the one person who can perform the service that day, was scheduled by accident and will be unavailable and so the can reschedule for May. Needless to say I was extremely upset, so I went there to get a refund. When they processed the refund I was informed they can only give me a store credit! I then proceeded to lose my #$h@t and told them they better figure it the "F" out but I was not leaving without my money!!!! After me raising my voice to unreasonable octaves and behaving in an unseemly way, they finally refunded my money. I will NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH BEST BUY again!!!!! I then called a company named Sound of Tri-State, located in Delaware. They gave me a great price and said they could take me today. An hour and a half later I left there having had a delicious cup of tea, helpful (not rushed) service, a great system, and excellent customer service; it was well worth the hour drive. If you can do it and plan to get a new radio, navigation system or remote start, give these folks a try. You will not be sorry. Ask for Marlo and tell him I sent you. I will be returning to have my remote start upgraded. They also have a Groupon. # customerserviceiseverything

With 10 minutes notice Summit North got me a transient slip for the night. I explained that my 22'Cape Cod Catboat does not maneuver well under power, especially in close quarters. I was told not to worry and that there would be folks to help me as soon as I pulled in. True to their word, I had plenty of help from the staff with dock lines. They eased me up to the fuel dock so I could top off my tanks and then very considerately helped pull me into a slip that easy to access, even with my limited steerage. Everyone was super friendly and helpful right from initial call to my departure for Annapolis. I highly recommend Summit North and if I lived in the area, I would definitely use them all year. We left that day and returned with a deposit to hold the camper and start the buying process a few days later. Unfortunately, we were not able to close the deal. When I asked about our deposit being returned, I was told 7-10 business days. Ok, no big deal. One week, two weeks...a month goes by and nothing. I called to speak to someone and was directed to Zack. I spoke to Zack and was told that the request had been sent to corporate, but being that it was Saturday, he would have to wait until Monday to call and see what information he could find out for me and that he would return my call that following Monday. Again, no big deal. I received no call. Another 3 weeks go by....nothing. I called again on 7/1/26 to speak to Zack, he wasn't in. I was directed to Dan and once again explained the situation. I was told that since Zack wasn't in, he would have to wait to speak to Zack when he got in later that day, and that either he or Zack would get back to me that afternoon. Again, no one called, emailed, or left me a voicemail. Being that it has been two months now with no communication from Forest River as to where our deposit is, I felt that I had to leave a review to warn other potential customers. I have been nothing but incredibly patient throughout this whole process. I have called twice in two months. Unfortunately, Forest River lacks in their communication skills and customer service. I guess since our deal didn't go through, we are not as important as any other customer and don't deserve the same respect. Beware of leaving deposits....you may have to fight tooth and nail to get your REFUNDABLE deposit back, IF you ever get it back.
