Breakfast white toast

Breakfast was great and on-time for pick up. The white toast was however, clearly burnt. Otherwise, great place for breakfast.

Fresh hot coffee with refills.

Had a great, fresh, hot, delicious breakfast here on a Friday morning while in town visiting my daughter at school. Fast and friendly service. Fresh hot coffee. Reasonably priced. A fun local spot. Definitely worth a try if you're a diner fan.

denver omelet

The Sunnyside didn't disappoint. My first time there so I had no expectations at all. It's a little dated inside and could use a remodel in my opinion - or at least a fresh coat of paint and some freshening up. Our server was attentive but could have been a little quicker based on the crowd size there. I ordered the denver omelet which is actually a western but they call it a denver. The food was made and brought to the table promptly. The home fries could have been browned more and made more crispy but everyplace does it a bit differently. All said and done the service was good, the food was tasty, and the coffee was hot. If it didn't need a makeover on the inside I would have given it 5 stars.... Thank you for a great breakfast place...

French toast egg sandwich and home fries

I stopped here for breakfast before going to work, and had a great experience. Served was friendly, food came quickly and we were able to leave quickly. If you're looking for a small diner with decent breakfast food, this place is pretty good! My French toast sandwich was decent, although I did wish I got an omelette instead when my parents got theirs! The omelettes are pretty large, and definitely would be my choice if I come back again. My mom pointed out that her toast was very over buttered, but that's standard for most diners that I've been to, and is more of a nitpick than a complaint. Overall, this was a decent diner with decent food and the service is quick.

Load at home fries and homemade Chorizo

Very friendly owner and sister. I was looking for a place to eat that is different from where I would usually go. This place when I first walked in I was very welcomed by the owner and her sister who are my waitress. Service. The service was wonderful. They checked all of my tables and rigorously. Food. The food was great I had the homemade chorizo and eggs and loaded home fries. Give this place a chance. The people are wonderful and the food is good Story about the Chorizo. The chorizo is freshly made by a company in Massachusetts. I can definitely taste the paprika in this dish.

I found this place via yelp (thanks yelp) after my boyfriend and I were undecided about what we wanted to eat. Sunnyside Restaurant has ample parking, spacious seating inside, and a huge menu selection of both breakfast and lunch options at very affordable prices. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. our order came out in record speed and the meal portions were perfect. Oh and they had awesome wall decor and a cool paper towel machine in the bathroom which reminded me of early 1990s. If you like Twin Peaks then you'd probably dig this place. I'll definitely visit again!

So I'm currently addicted to the blueberry pancakes here. The coffee is also pretty great, and the staff are super friendly and attentive. Older building, well-established mom n pop style breakfast joint that feels welcoming and homey. No frills, and easy on the wallet. The place is clean and there is plenty of parking. Quick turn over; never experienced too long a wait. Most often there is no wait around 11a. The only thing here that I have a problem with is how small the bathroom is. Lol. Delicious breakfast....Seriously small bathroom.

Definitely stressful but it ended up working out well for me (this was more of a luxury hotel). Pros: -Super comfy bed, I had a room with a king bed -There is a restaurant on-site -The hotel is definitely modern but very tastefully decorated -Lots of plugs to plug in phone chargers, etc. -You can add on breakfast - on the Delta Travel site it was $11 and my breakfast cost $21 so objectively it's a good deal, however it's limited to only four entree choices and juice or coffee. -Friendly front desk employees Cons: -The toilet would make a weird noise whenever I would flush it -The rooms are okay-sized (300 sq. ft.) but bathroom is tiny - if you're sharing a room with friends I could see it being a little awkward. I also couldn't completely close the bathroom door and I was afraid it would get stuck so I didn't attempt it -Parking is across the street and is $12 per day, I believe they have valet as well Overall I would stay here again - Delta Travel paid them $450 for last night's stay (!!!) but I remembered seeing it for $300 when I was looking previously (and to compare, the more-basic room I had booked was $215... I assume because it's a Friday night) which isn't quite as bad.

Now, the reason you're reading this review- THE FOOD. I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich with a Caesar Salad. The chicken (photo below) was perfectly cooked, topped with hot honey, slaw, pickles, and ranch then placed on a soft brioche bun. The meal was reasonably priced as well at $33 which included tip. There is no 'handicapped parking' specifically for Gel's due to the way the parking lot is designed. There is a small vestibule between the outside and the inside where you will find a community food pantry. Take something if you need it, or leave something for your neighbors. This is such a lovely offering and very much in line with Gel's local community mind set. The doors into the vestibule are heavy glass and metal. Seat yourself in one of the booths. When they remodeled they added a small bar to the back area if you prefer counter seating. They offer a variety of mimosa flavors at breakfast and beer and wine at lunch. Although I suppose if you want a beer with your eggs, have at it. The front and side walls have large windows making the interior bright. They offer so many specials. Check out all the white boards on the back wall above the counter seating. These are in addition to their standard menu. Breakfast items include egg based meals (eggs & bacon & toast for ex.), pancakes, hash and lots of al la carte sides. Coffee is good and comes with free refills. The lunch menu includes sandwiches, salads, soups, wraps and they have a kids menu too. They also offer Kino if you like. They sell Gel's merch (holiday gifts?) and decorate for all the holidays.
