I never write reviews but after having dealt with Sunny's Transmissions I felt like I needed to write this review. The Transmission on our work van went bad at the busiest time of year. Sunny rebuilt the transmission and had us back on the road in 3 days. HIs price was very reasonable. Unfortunately, the next day the truck broke down again. Sunny had the truck towed back to is place. It turns this break down had nothing to do with the transmission work he did. Sunny found and repaired an electrical problem and also noticed a brake issue and fixed that also. He did this extra work at no charge!! I found Sunny to be Knowledgable, honest and very fairly priced. These days it is hard to find a class act like Sunny. I have a 2007 Chrysler Aspen (which I love), which my regular mechanics thought had a transmission problem. I asked for a recommendation for a reputable trans-shop and was given this. I suspected that I would have to junk this car, as I didn't want to pay thousands for a transmission on a 15-yr old car. After bringing it to Sunny, within 30 minutes, he figured out the problem was something stupid that I did (turning the 4wd knob). Truthfully, I'd have been happy to pay a grand to get this resolved. After he told me that I didn't owe him anything, I begged him to take a hundred books, and he also refused. With everything going on in the world, hard to believe there are real true blue honest folks out there. This shop is unbelievable and I hope to G-d that I never have a transmission problem with any of my cars, but if I ever do, I know who to call. Thank you Sunny!!! read more

Nice guy can't take that from him. But the quality of work is questioned. Two blown rebuild transmissions in 4 years. I'm thinking inferior parts are being used. I don't beat on my truck at all. No way I should be get 2 years or less out of rebuild transmission. You cannot be putting quality parts in my 4l60e transmission. Those transmissions are sensitive so Inuse the best fluid etc. One year no gears at all. Yesterday on 2nd rebuild no 2nd or 4th. That is unacceptable. read more

Putting a bad review here will not affect his business, what I found out about this shop is he do mostly wholesale work and don't rely on retail customer.......However I had my car at 2 different transmission shops and they charged me thousands of dollars and I had the same problem, Sunny fix my car for free. Sunny just tried selling me a car listed on Craigslist. WARNING - listing read no accidents, but the hood and rear door didn't line up, overspray was evident around the front bumper, quarter panels, and rear lid, indicating a respray. His story was that the car belonged to his uncle who had just bought a Lexus, but when I showed up the whole story was different. He wasted almost a day of my time coming out to Queen's to look at this car that was not as advertised, and blatantly lied in his post and in his calls with me.
