As a disabled 44yo lady from Boise/Seattle areas relocating to SOUTH Ukiah, CA and staying right next door at the Motel 6 for weeks, Sunny's (a diverse, women owned and run business) has been such an absolute DREAM to have next door. MY M6 DOES NOT open the office for hot water, coffee, or GUEST REGISTRATION outside of 8am-8pm and the incredible women at Sunny's Doughnuts (OPEN 24/7) have kept my heart, tummy and soul fed and warm for 2.5 weeks as I explore this community on foot to find a local rental. MUCHAS GRACIAS!! My only requests/suggestions as a returning guest who is broke in a mixed use retirement community waiting for her SSDI and STD.... 1) Offer a discount for refills with same cup/reusable cups; 2) Offer DECAF and HOT WATER at the coffee station???; 3) Offer friendly GUESTS in local hotels (with keys???) a buy (7(?) Get one free) coffee/tea/breakfast deal; 4) Offer maybe a community "P(l)ay It Forward" corkboard for patrons to purchase treats for visitors without cash/cards. 5) Develop relationships with local hotels/motels??? When my disability benefits role in....(today/tomorrow?) I will most definitely be back in!! read more

They are open 24 hours in Ukiah! NO body is open 24 hours in Ukiah, or anywhere in Mendocino County for that matter. Good solid donutry. Apple Fritters and croissants with sausage and cheese. But -- you would not have guessed this one -- really good BAGELS. That's right. Bagels. For an office breakfast, I ordered a dozen toasted everything bagels with cream cheese and they were perfect and staff loved them. They also have bagel and croissant sandwiches, which I have not tried, ramen with stuff in it, and you can get a cream cheese bagel with flamin hot Cheetos inside! When I came this morning to pick up my bagels there was a line of working guys waiting for their donuts, a sure sign of greatness. Also-- The sweetest ladies EVER run the joint. The service is gone, no one is nice, The lady that was in there on 10/2 at 6am, was rude and seemed annoyed she had to work. She immediately assumed I was there to pick up an order, loudly saying "it's not ready" without even asking if I had an order to pick up, I used to eat from Sunnys and now after hearing from my friends they have had worse experiences with food being unsanitary that I'm just going to go to Happys donuts. Weird shady vibes here. Why you ask? Strange encounter rude customer service 30 bucks for a donut order I questioned the prices wasn't getting correct answers... felt very weird again I spent 30 dollars and I didn't get a donut guess she didn't vibe with me and wanted to F with me maybe that's how I felt anyway so when I asked why I didn't get mine she wanted to charge me again!!! We are visiting from Los Angeles, and stumbled across Sunny's Donuts after visiting a local Vineyard. We choose Sunny's after reading a review of the Hot Cheeto Bagel sandwich and boy howdy - it's life changing. Unfortunately we only ordered one, but we each got a bite and hatched a plan to come back the next day before leaving town. We did however order a big box of delicious donuts. Make sure to get a filled donut - they are filled in front of you and are wonderful. We received a bunch of donut holes to fill up the rest of the box, which was a sweet surprise. The best thing though it's that they were running a special where each customer received a free iced green Thai tea. There were 5 of us and she gave us 6. They were delicious. I can't say enough about Sunny's Donuts. The service was friendly and welcoming and so generous it blew my mind. I wish so hard that we had a place like this in LA. Even the people in the parking lot were friendly and happy to be there. The prices were great and you can pay with cash or card (minimum of $5 purchase to use a card.) If you are looking for a great place in Mendocino county to satisfy a sweet tooth and have your mind blown by a bagel sandwich, you have to stop by Sunny's. read more

I work in Ukiah but live in Sonoma County and I can guarantee that you will not find a better donut anywhere in SoCo. It's worth the drive. Yeasty, fluffy, and amazingly light. Skip the name brands. I stopped in this donut store with my son on a Holy Grail quest to discover the finest donuts in Ukiah. My son and I always order a chocolate old fashion and a glazed donut as the gold standard when evaluating a new bakery. The happy news is this place came out on top. There are three donut options in Ukiah and it is my opinion this place comes out on top. After going to the other donut stores and buying the exact same donuts it was clear these folks had a slight edge. As we were leaving Ukiah we stopped in and got a dozen to go. I've been coming here with my husband for years and years. I just stopped in today and can say this place still holds up. We always stop here on road trips now that we don't live in Ukiah anymore and we always get the same thing. We each get a sandwich and a doughnut. Today we stopped in at 1pm and the selection of doughnuts was just as it always is - full and fresh. The doughnuts are some of the best I've ever had, and they always give you some holes even if you only get two doughnuts and which is kind of rare to find these days. The sandwiches are always generous portions and fresh veggies. The service is quick and friendly. I've even come in after midnight and there's a big section of doughnuts, and friendly service. It's 10/10 worth the stop on your trip and close to gas stations if you need to fill up. read more

They're very friendly and have a great variety of donuts, breakfast sandwiches, regular sandwiches and boba drinks! The donuts are all very fresh and they have a great variety. The glazed, maple and chocolate dough is fluffy and the cake ones are super moist. If you like them filled, they fill them by request. When I have a cheat day, this is my go to spot. read more

I havent been there in a long time but they've definitely upgraded! New tables and chairs, and 4 large TVs for the menu. Everything on the menu is pretty much customizable, and even when you get a donut they offer to fill it for you if you want! (custard, raspberry, lemon). Definitely need to go back. Ok, so we like good donuts. And there really aren't any super places by us. So we like to try a donut or two when we travel. Sunny's is more than good. Amazing. Soft, tender, perfect. We had a our standards--sugar, old fashioned, cake--but we also tried some filled holes. I loved the lemon--tart enough to balance the light glaze. The Mister loved the raspberry. These are usually too sweet for us, but these are different--tasted like actual fruit, not colored syrup. The cream was also delicious. We tried a cinnamon pastry that was crispy and sweet. Not quite a roll, not quite anything we've tried before...but yum. Here's how much we loved the donuts. We finished the box--I think we had about 8 or 9--two days later. TWO DAYS later and they were still the best donuts we've had in this country, and darn close to the Supreme Champions in Taiwan (which will never be able to find again). So: Sunny's is now our #1 donut destination. If you are close, stop in! They also have sandwiches and coffee. read more

The workers here are outstandingly friendly, but the one we were dealing with was not comfortable with the menu and what did or did not have eggs in it. About half of the things we wanted were out of stock... and we asked for a Boston Creme filled donut (which is all over their website!!) and the worker didn't even know what a Boston creme donut was, so we had to explain it to him... I mean he was very friendly and always had a smile, but he is not well trained The food was so so, there are better donuts at Krispy Kreme. The milkshake we ordered was suppose to taste like caramel, and I tastes no caramel whatsoever, it seemed like the "caramel milkshake" was just milk, vanilla ice cream, and chocolate sauce in a blender. I could make a better milkshake at home than he did.... The reason why I didn't give this review a 1 or a 2 is solely because of his radiating attitude.
