I have been a customer of Sunny's cleaners since 1996. The previous owner, an amazing woman named "Sunny", sold her business and it has completely collapsed. The customer service is a big fat zero and the prices have increased 30% because I was allowed 30% off of my cleaning bill. This generous 30% discount was offered by the previous owner because of my 15 year loyalty to the business. Ironically, my prices jumped 30% once the new owner understood I was getting 30% off of my bill. The new owner did not disclose that my individual prices were different than other customers because of my discount. I have been dropping off my clothes to Sunny's Cleaners since 2013. I used to live in Atlantic Station, so the commute was reasonable. However, I have been living way out in Douglasville for about a year and 3 months (as of this writing), and I still travel all the way across metro Atlanta to have my clothes taken care of by Sunny! Now that should be a testament as to how GREAT Sunny's Cleaners truly is! Most of the time, Sunny is working right on the front line of her business and is there to greet you with a radiant "sunny" smile! She is always genuinely happy and always goes the extra mile no matter how busy she is! For instance, I have had to call her in advance (on several occasions) as I was on my way and running late, and she actually stayed like 10-15 minutes later (after she was technically closed) just so I could pay for my dry cleaning ticket and pick up my impeccably dry cleaned button downed shirts and slacks! When it comes to minor repairs and alterations, look no further as Sunny and her team are extremely precise and efficient. I have had slacks, shirts and blazer jackets all altered (precisely to my body's measurements) to give me that GQ look when I am on the job or just out and about hanging out in the city. I also had buttons replaced (she uses exact color threading too) and makes your clothes look like new! Sunny is also extremely organized and will have your clothes ready whenever you need them. She always goes the extra mile in ensuring that her customers are 101% satisfied and will even carry out your clothes by hand and place them neatly in your vehicle. If you have stains on your clothes, you can point them out in front of Sunny, and she will tag them with a "stain here" sticker and can usually remove most stains without damaging the material. In addition, the clothes are always very neatly pressed, bagged and labeled (with your last name and customer number), and I have never had a piece of clothing damaged, misplaced or lost. If there was ever a dry cleaning company that is deserving of a 5-Star rating...it is without question Sunny's Cleaners! There are so many dry cleaners in the morningside area. It's the like Starbucks where there's one on every corner. I saw a ton of great reviews and comments about Sunny's and even though they are on an inconvenient side of an intersection, the reviews were enough to make me go the extra distance. Sunny's is located in a strip mall and I brought in my suit for some quick dry cleaning. They were very helpful and quickly took my clothes and asked me when I wanted it back. They offer 24 hour service but I wasn't in a big hurry so I offered to pick it up later since they were busy. For 2 suits, I paid about $25. I brought my receipt back and there was someone there who quickly got the payment squared away and my clothes back to me. I was in and out in 5 min. Based on this one experience, I will definitely be back. I don't have a ton of dry cleaning needs but once in a while I will have something to bring by. It's good to know that I had a positive experience with this place so close by the house! read more

This place is great. I had a huge 50% wool and 50% Cotten rug that had an entire glass of red wine spilled on. Did I mention the rug is white? My Husband scrubbed thinking he could clean himself, but it looked worse! I called every local cleaning company, even the specialty places and they were almost double the price. This place was extremely friendly and willing to take on the challenge. They charged about $70 and had it ready within 2 weeks. They did need to ship it off for cleaning. It took an extra week because it came back needing to be cleaned again. They cleaned it twice for the same price just to do the job well. I trusted Yelp reviews and have gone to this place since I moved to Atlanta last year. The dry cleaning is fine and done on time, as are minor alterations (ie. shorten pant length). However, my wife took a dress to alter the length and it was shortened more than expected. This didn't seem like an isolated event because another lady was complaining about a similar issue when we dropped off dry cleaning one day. Sunny mentioned she could fix it and took it back, but we never heard back from her and are still waiting for a call to retrieve it. It doesn't matter; the dress was messed up anyways, so we have no incentive to drive there to pick it up, but it left a sour taste in my mouth to see that they messed up and broke my trust in the business. I only give 3 stars because they will do a good job with your dry cleaning - albeit at a steeper price than average -, but I would take my special garments elsewhere if you need special work on them. read more

Great customer service and the prices are reasonable. It takes a few days to get your stuff back, but it's always in great condition, pressed and free of stains. I've worked in customer service or something closely related for years, and admit my standards are higher because I expect to get the same service I would provide. This cleaner definitely meets or exceeds my expectations and standards. And it helps this location is on my way to work! The only issue I had was that the first time I dropped off skirts, one of which belonged to my three piece suit, they were safety pinned to the hangers when I picked them up. I was upset when I got home and realized this was how my clothes were handled after getting cleaned; I'd never seen this before and it wasn't something I thought to ask when I dropped them off. In the past, I've seen plastic clips used with the wire hangers, folded over like slacks/dress pants or ones with built-in clips similar to what you would see at clothing stores. I called to explain my disappointment and frustration, and was asked to bring them back. Once I got to the store and explained why I was upset, they re-cleaned my skirts for free, mended the holes and haven't used pins on anything since. They also made a note on my account to help prevent this from happening again. Most importantly, my skirts haven't ripped or looked distressed from the safety pin holes after wearing them. When stuff like this happens, I base more emphasis on how the problem is solved and how I'm treated after the incident before I decide if I'm going to come back or not. Their positive reaction and customer service has been great after this issue, and I can genuinely tell they appreciate me as their customer. I'm going to keep using this cleaner, despite this one issue, because my clothes and I are treated very well. read more

I don't always get my clothes dry-cleaned, but when I do... I go to Sunny. She is super nice, knows more than a thing or two about cleaning clothes correctly, and gets your clothes back to you in a jiffy. I got some slacks and a few dress shirts cleaned and pressed here. They all came out as clean as a whistle and pressed to perfection! Now, I'm not a starch man myself, but if that is your thing, then they will be glad to do that for you. Even without starch, my items are still looking nice and sharp. Just make sure you hang correctly and quickly after wearing, and you can say goodbye to that stiff stuff! I used there service for more than 18 months. They were good service and I liked them. But after some time as I started trusting them I stopped counting my cloths While taking it back. I lost my 3 polo shirts and when I called to ask they were not helpful. I checked everywhere and there is no other place I would have lost it. They told me everything is correct and were not ready to check or look up at the videos. In other dry cleaning firms when I lost my things they tried to help out. Sunny's simply inviting customer service is what shoots my rating to a 5. I haven't been to many cleaners, but for what services I needed, dry cleaning a coat, pressing a jacket, washing a few dress-shirts, Sunny's did a great job. The front door seems to always be open, or some kind of window is, so the atmosphere is pretty outdoorsy. There's actually a drive-through on the side, so you don't even have to get out your car to drop-off/ pick-up your clothes! Sunny's services are fast, and she is very friendly. I have been going to this dry cleaning for years. And everything was great. But since the owner sold sometime last year everything has gone to crap. I feel compelled to write a review right now because last year I had taken some stuff to the dry cleaning, and when I removed them from the bag, there were still stains and dirt that wasn't taken care of on about a third of my stuff. Irritated I ignored it because this has now been a second time this happened. I chose to take those items elsewhere and got it fixed. But just now I'm taking out some stuff I put away after dry cleaning for the fall. And just like my last experience, 3 of my items are still stained and have dirt. Are you kidding me?? They used to really do everything with care. Quality has gone to crap. DO NOT GO HERE IF You're new. And if you have been going you shouldn't anymore. There are just too many dry cleaners around to settle for crappy work. But if you do end up going, you should inspect the work of each item every single time! So irritating. You ruined many of my designer clothes. You should close your doors or do better!!!! read more

Been visiting Sunny's for nearly 8 years, and as long as we live in Atlanta, I will continue to bring our dry cleaning here. Everyone at Sunny's is friendly, but the one stand-out is Sunny! Always smiling, she greets me at the door, takes a load of clothes, asks for my number, gives me a date to return, and that's it! Then upon return, I pull up to the very convenient drive-up, she asks for my number and brings my items directly to the car. I started going to Sunny, because another place lost our items. So I decided to give Sunny's a try since moving from Emory area to Buckhead. The prices were a little on the pricier side, but I guess that's because of the neighborhood. Still the Korean owner gave me a discount to try them out and I decided to give them a go. The clothes came back great. When I returned a few weeks ago, I noticed he was gone and asked where he went. The lady at the front said he was gone, but still the owner. I left my clothes there and when I went to pick them up, realized that the prices had increased. I took a mental note and decided to inquire to the Korean owner when I saw him the next time. I returned today to drop off some clothes, and the same front cashier lady was there. I asked where the old owner was and she finally hesitantly told me that they had changed ownership!!! I told her I thought prices were a little on the pricey side ($5/shirt for dry cleaning). I just got two of my coats cleaned (no stains, just some dog hair I needed to get off) and I was shocked when my bill was $32.00. It could be because I don't usually get things dry cleaned so I'm not too well-versed on standard cleaning prices, but I took one of these coats somewhere else in Atlanta last year and I was charged $5 for the same service (done with the same quality, too).
