I was honestly very impressed with this laundromat. It is extremely clean, smells good, and is well-maintained. I'll admit, I was a little skeptical at first because I'm from this area and know it has a higher crime rate--but this place completely exceeded my expectations. There's another laundromat directly across the street that is honestly subpar, so finding this one felt like a win. I found it on Yelp, and I'm happy to say the reviews were spot on. Everything people mentioned in the reviews matched my experience. I'm really glad I gave this place a chance. This will definitely be my go-to laundromat moving forward. As far as the price, I really can't compare because I have a washing machine and dryer at home. I use this laundromat for my floor mat. I recently started coming to this laundry because I just moved and gifted my washer and dryer to the buyers of my old home. I like coming to this establishment because it is always clean and really convenient to my home. There are plenty of washer and dryers. You can wash a medium load of laundry starting at $5.75 and you can dryer a large load starting at $1.50. There are numerous washer and dryers to utilize. With the cost of everything increasing, I can appreciate the price, especially when I have multiple loads of laundry to wash weekly. I'll be bringing my business here until I purchase my new washer and dryer. Although, I haven't used the service yet, I have heard that there's a nice laundry service you can pay for (buying your time back). One day I may utilize it. read more

I dropped my comforter off to get washed and the same lady I left it with also washed it, gave me the call, and was there at pick up. I realized later in the night that I couldn't find my AirPods so I looked at the location. They are 4 minutes away from the laundry mat at an apartment. I guess I accidentally folded them into my comforter..I do not appreciate not getting them back. It's an expensive item to take and it's a shame people are not honest anymore. Overdue review of great service received after my all-in-one washer/dryer stopped working properly. Numerous attempts to repair was fruitless but was soooo happy to find The Laundry Center on Yelp and read the great reviews. Upon entering facility, I was greeted by Marlena and was impressed with cleanliness and new machines. She shared the various options regarding machine sizes and capacity. Pictures on machines helped remind of load capacities too. I was also told of incentives offered after several loads. The machines worked exceptionally well and dryer heat got everything - towels, jeans, sheets, etc. dry after one cycle! Never experienced that before and was pleasantly surprised. Everything was cleaned and dried in a short period of time. The facility also had TVs, IPads, clean restrooms for patrons and an area for children to play outside in full view of parents. Must emphasis the cleanliness of the entire facility. Also, there was ample parking and garden with produce. Very impressed and will return and try drop off service for bedding. read more

This is my go to laundry spot. They are always clean and open according to their hours. Just call ahead or check in right after a storm because sometimes the power goes out. Also bring a little cash. I visited this laundry center based on the good reviews. I had been traveling for six months and had two suitcases of clothes that I just wanted to wash really well. Once I started the first two loads it became evident that I was running short on time. I was on my way to take the second suitcase back to my car when I noticed the meetly folded bundles of laundry behind the service counter. I decided that I would give wash and fold a try. I approached the attendant to inquire about the services, and was met with a most visibly negative attitude. I mean the whole neck roll, eye roll, shifting of the shoulders and the huff and puffs. I told the attendant "never mind, I see you're having a hard time, I'll just come back tomorrow because I don't want to add more to your day". Now, this was said in a very low, polite empathetic tone. She replied "What's the difference? I'll be here tomorrow." and I replied "I'll just do it myself and walked away. " Thinking to myself why would I trust you with my laundry? It's very sad that I chose a business promoted as Black and woman owned, and was treated in such a fashion. I am Black and a woman m. I have a vehicle and the means to take my business else where, and that is exactly what I'll do with that second suitcase tomorrow. I just had the most amazing experience at this location! My dryer stopped heating and it was going to take a week before the part was available. I decided to use the laundry center to wash and fold ! When I tell you they exceeded my expectations, I was so impressed from the customer centered care, responsiveness and most of all the time and care spent on my clothes! First time coming :) we really like this place. They are open late and it's kept up well and the staff is nice, plenty of parking. And they take all credit cards. We have a comforter that doesn't fit in our machines at home. So for $12 or less we have to take it to the laundromat vs. $30+ at the dry cleaners. We will be back here !!! read more

First, let me say that I firmly believe in supporting Black owned businesses but invariably they tend to be the MOST expensive. I used Marlene to pick up laundry and it came back dingy. So I recently took 1 winter coat, 3 sweaters, a full comforters, 2 sheets and my bill was $51.00 !! Furthermore, the attendant couldn't find my ticket, didn't have change, and generally didn't seem to know anything about their pricing structure. Needless to say I Won't be using them again. I had a few horrible experiences with Huebsch Laundry so I took my business elsewhere. That elsewhere ended up being The Laundry Centers. They have 2 locations, both on Donald Lee Hollowell. First impressions are lasting impressions and my first impressions of this place was how friendly, COURTEOUS and personable the attendant was. Then a quick look around showed me that the store was clean and orderly. I met the director, in passing and she was very friendly and accommodating.
