Since my apartment doesn't have washer/dryer on property, I occasionally use this laundromat. 3-stars because it's average! There's nothing I find impressive about it; it gets the chore done. The standard size washers-some are priced different, and I'm not sure why. The cash to coin converter works. Bonus, they have a laundry drop service. I've never used it but if you are looking for a by-the-pound laundry bag wash/dry service they have it as well as they have a comforter wash/dry service. Not pretty, but gets the job done read more

I had a great experience here over the weekend. The laundry machines were working and got the job done. I did need to run a load a second time but due to my own error. The only reason I would give this 4 stars is because the rest room was not in any condition to be utilized. There were flys everywhere and the sink was full of cloudy water. Whether you drop off for the wash and fold service or stop in to DIY a load (or six)... this is a great spot for it. We went several times and started to notice clothing missing. I started keeping track of everything we dropped off and discovered several pieces missing when I picked up including my $100 jeans. When I complained, they swore they put everything back and did nothing to remedy the situation. Do not go here if you value your belongs. They will lose or take stuff. read more

Took my laundry here and just decided to do the drop off service since I'm scouting after the whole 2ULaundry thing with them having great customer service but my clothes just not smelling clean after (they'd have my loyalty if they could fix that). I love Brookhaven Laundry. Anytime I've had an issue with any of the machines, they've given me a free wash. When I hurt my foot, and was on crutches, they help me load the washer and dryer. Pro tip: it's really busy on the weekend. Best to come during the week. :) read more

This was an adequate laundromat. I'm not sure the air conditioning was working. It was 90°F outside, and it was freaking hot inside. And I saw a roach or two, in the middle of the day. They were just out for a stroll. And the place is kind-of cluttered--disheveled. Like the magazines and newspapers didn't know where they belonged. But the people who worked here were very nice and very friendly. Downright helpful. And the machines I used to wash my three comforters all worked perfectly and did the job adequately. The washers (I had to use the BIG washers) all seemed slightly less expensive than other laundromats I'd scoped out for this purpose. read more

Super convenient and fast service! I never take my laundry anywhere else. I did all of my laundry the last time (comforter and blankets included) for less that 80 dollars. They wash and fold all of your things, separate them nicely and they smell so fresh. I will always use them, would highly recommend! read more

My review is for their Wash & Fold laundry service. Although I'd love to try their machines (they all looked pretty new and all seemed to be in working condition, unlike most laundromats), my husband suggested that I try a Wash & Fold service seeing as I am 30+ weeks pregnant and had a good 3-4 bags of laundry to do. I called them up and they quoted me $1.00 a pound (which I thought was pretty reasonable). They were extremely nice and friendly and very helpful! The lady that helped me said they could possibly get my laundry done the same day, even though they were very busy. I told them not to worry about it and came back the next day, but even so, that was quicker than I expected for so much laundry. Everything was nicely folded and smelled great! The machines were easy to use and the prices were actually a little bit cheaper than others in the area. The staff also seemed very nice. However, I spotted several cockroaches of different generations crawling out from under the dryers. This was in the middle of the day. They weren't the typical "summer bugs" like smoky brown or american cockroaches. These were German roaches. If you know anything about roaches, you know that if you're seeing a bunch in the light of day, you have a serious problem on your hands. They can easily get into your things and hitch a ride back home with you. I don't know that I'll be back, just because of the bug situation. I kind of expect most laundromats to have that issue here, but I saw at least 5 which is just too much for me to ignore. I'd say avoid the wash and fold since your stuff would be sitting around, and wash/dry yourself if you're really cautious. read more

Rather than use my apartment complex's laundry room, which is hidden away and seems like it'd be crappy. Given my last apartment complex's laundry left my clothes smelling odd, I took my clothes here. This place isn't exactly that great inside either, but you're not here for the atmosphere, and at least it has Wi-Fi and machines that got the job done for me in just over an hour. There are machines of varying sizes, the cheapest of which are double load machines, which cost $1.75 for a wash cycle. There are triple load, giant load, and mega load washers too which I think were $3, $4, and $5 respectively. And then dryers seemed to be $.25 per ~7 minutes or something like that. It's not the nicest place inside, the free coffee is from a household coffeemaker. They have a little arcade in the back. Apparently at the desk they sell snacks and other drinks but every time I walked by nobody was there. There were TVs on showing something in Spanish, but there is Wi-Fi so I just messed around on Twitter and read on my Kindle. The place is kind of mehhh inside though. I was sitting at a table with benches and it was pretty dirty. It was also highly annoying that children were running around wildly, not very sure a place filled with giant metal bricks of machinery is the best place for that. But my clothes were washed, it didn't take that long, and I'll be back because that price is excellent. Even though I used two separate double load washers, everything could go together right into a dryer. That was awesome. I guess weekends are their busy time, but they're open till 8:30pm, so since it doesn't take too long at all, it definitely wouldn't be too difficult to come by after work for me. Is it possible to give a place ZERO stars? I've been to multiple laundromats around Atlanta and Brookhaven Laundry is by far the worst with cleanliness and properly working machines. I was there yesterday - 14 washing machines OUT OF ORDER. This is not uncommon as more than 30% of their machines are regularly out of commission. The dryers are largely terrible - on average it costs me $1.75-$2.00 just to dry a medium size load of clothes (that's 48+ minutes! TOO long!). Yesterday is my last time here. I will be going to another laundromat that is less convenient, farther away, and costs .25 more per wash just to never use this place again. I do not recommend this place at all. read more

I used to wash/dry laundry here when our machines at home needed replacing and was pleased with their cleanliness and friendliness. After we bought new machines, we only dropped-off/picked up big bedding and towels but service has deteriorated. For one, we must tell them not to use fragrant products because our "clean" laundry smells like cheap cologne but still our wash is returned smelling bad. Also, instead of returning everything we dropped off, they have started losing our things and saying with a big smile "buy more." NOT acceptable, nor is the mess this place has become - on my recent visit, half the machines were broken, trash was piled in large open bins and bags, etc. Only one customer was in the place at noontime and he was having problems. The only clerk didn't or wouldn't speak English and my Spanish is not so good. My husband and I will have to find a different laundry service. read more

This place is my first laundromat ever! I was very wary at first. I grew up in predominantly white middle-class suburbs, so I'm still skittish around low-income areas. Unfairly so. This place is so clean and the staff is friendly--I think it's the owner who runs most of it, and she's constantly on the floor cleaning up spills and keeping the place fresh. I have never felt uncomfortable or unsafe there, which is a lot coming from a skinny 5'2" college girl who spends most of her time indoors at a drafting table. Today I went by myself for the first time (usually I tote my boyfriend around), and the staff chatted with me at one of the tables and shared some Mexican candy. Yum!! The first time, I went in and forgot my detergent so I bought some, and it sent me into a spiral of allergic reactions that landed me in the ER. The owner made note of it and said next time to let them know if I have sensitivities because they do have soaps for sale that are hypoallergenic. From now on I'm just going to bring my own and make sure to rinse out the detergent basin before doing my wash. Not a big deal, and certainly not their fault. As far as the facility goes, there are always machines available in lots of different sizes to accommodate your load size. I think the price is fair. My only complaint is that the $00.25 dryer cycle is ten minutes and never dries my clothes, but at a quarter a pop I don't mind putting it on for another cycle. These are nice, genuine people who (if you'll let them) foster a sense of community. It's good, because I will be back weekly to do my laundry! read more

Don't let the glossy website fool you. Go there and see for yourself that they are not cracked up to be. I'll never forget the first time, I made it half an hr before closing time of 8:30, but one of the workers told me they were closed. After pointing out that I made it within the time and pointing out the OPEN sign, she incredulously turned it off and practically shut me and another patron who came after me. I complained to a manager the next day, and she assured me she would speak to the employee and offer me 1 free wash load. I decided to visit once more a few days after, well lo and behold, the same worker was there. She had a very nasty disposition, did not greet me, spoke in Spanish the entire time to other people sitting down in a table near the main door, and I felt very bad vibes. So just know that service is severely lacking. I'm sure the manager was a nice lady, but I did not even feel like taking her up on her offer. I will never patronize that establishment ever again. Oh, I just remembered, the place is dirty, bathroom dark and dingy; hopefully the Owner can take necessary action to attain and keep customer service oriented employees and make minor decorative changes. I think Brookhaven Laundry has what it takes to be a great fixture in the North Druid Hills area. read more

So when life gets in the way you find yourself with about 8lbs of dirty laundry! I recently moved and because of my severe backlog of dirty clothes I needed a full service laundry mat ASAP. Came on Yelp and found this location. I dropped off my clothes (8lbs) and also dropped off about 8 suits for dry cleaning. Once I picked up my order I was extremely please with the quality of service and care taken with clothes. Not only that, but the prices were very reasonable! Don't really know too much about laundromats so I found this place through Yelp. I needed to get a comforter cleaned after two years of it sitting in a garbage bag. I used their wash and fold services, and it cost me $12 (cost will depend on the type/material of comforter). The lady was super nice and told us it'd be ready within three and a half hours but it was ready before then. Services were quick. Cost was reasonable. Location is convenient. I don't see how this place is getting good reviews. I have spent forever in this place. No help anywhere except a child who is probably 7 years old. There's no guidance for people who don't know what they're supposed to do. There are kids running around and screaming everywhere. It's hot as hell. The bathroom doesn't lock and smells terrible!!! There's water damage in the back of this building everywhere and I'm guessing that's why the bathroom smells so bad too. I'm very sensitive to mold and I couldn't even use the bathroom because the smell was so strong. I will never be back here. read more

I would never patronize this place again! My washer had broken down and, while waiting on the arrival of our new set, I decided to come here to wash and dry. Plus, this place is sneezing distance from our house and was recently remodeled, so I thought....WHY NOT! By the way, this place looks NOTHING like it does online. They, clearly, went somewhere else to take these photos. I went to collect clothes out of a washer, that just stopped spinning, only to see someone taking my clothes out for me...WTF?! It was less than a minute that my clothes were sitting there after they stopped. So, naturally, I asked the person not to touch my items, but conveniently, he did not understand me. I was then approached by the woman that works there and she told me that she advised him to take my clothes out because they are busy and needed the washer as soon as possible. Again...WTF?! I went off on her! Then of course, she began to get loud and speak in Spanish, of course! But I shut her up quickly. Now, I am far from intolerant of other races because my family resembles the United Nations. But ignorant people of any race irks the heck out of me. There were customers, both Hispanic and non-Hispanic, that was appalled by her behavior. Though my expectations for professionalism in this place is nonexistent, I have never had an employee of a Laundromat tell me or another patron to take someone else's clothes out of a unit they paid to use. read more
