Midtown wash is a clean and comfortable place to come do your laundry. We're in the middle of a kitchen renovation and we're debating wash and fold vs coin laundry options. Midtown Wash offers both with fast turn around service and professional staff. We did coin laundry as our amount of laundry didn't meet the minimum for ways and find service ($45 or roughly 20 lbs). The medium washers were $7 and held 6 loads, and they had small and large washers aswell. Our laundry took 19 minutes to wash and another 30 to dry. Dryers cost $2.25. I would come back here if needed again. read more

I travel a lot and are always looking for great, clean, prompt, fluff and fold. This place fits the bill. And the people are really super nice. Highly recommend. read more

I lived on this street and used a laundry mat on this corner 30 years ago and this laundry mat is better than that one. I could have done without the people sitting and standing directly beside me during Covid times, but I always wear a mask because of inconsiderate people. But the laundry mat was clean, well maintained, reasonably priced and the attendant was good. Best of all the bathroom was very clean I was very surprised and Happy, because the bathroom in the laundry mat 30 years ago was filthy. Sometimes things get better, people not so much. I will definitely return to this laundry, with my mask. read more

I went there for the fluff and fold service. Everyone was extremely friendly, my laundry was done earlier than promised, and everything came out perfect. Could not be happier! read more

My wife was using another wash/fold service in the area and was not satisfied with their services. So I did a some research on wash/fold services in the area. I called around and Midtown Wash stood out initially due to how polite & patient the young man who answered the phone was. He answered all of my questions & recommended a dry cleaner. The next week we dropped our clothes off for a wash & fold service. Greeted with a smile and asked all the right questions about the type of detergent we preferred & when the wash would be ready. Pick up was painless and our clothes were folded perfectly, with "nicer" clothes being hung up neatly. The prices are on par (even cheaper with better service) with prices around town. We have found our new wash/fold service! What a treasure. read more

I normally love this place. But they closed over an hour early today without notice. I normally wouldn't get this annoyed but this isn't the first time I've had to march back with my still dirty laundry. read more

My washer machine has just broke when I moved out here to ATL, and this was right around the corner to me. A great place to go when in need ! - Make sure to bring cash. read more

This laundromat is very tidy & clean! They have an atm, coin machine, bill exchanger & you can even use your card. Their prices are average from what I've seen & where I've been. Also have a vending machine & you can choose from a wide variety of soaps if you don't have any. read more

The woman, stephanie, that works there was incredibly kind and provided wonderful customer service.

I was in town between cities and I really needed to do some laundry. I was stunned to have a suitcase full of laundry done in 5 hours for $13. I fully thought I would end up sitting here for a few hours doing it myself, but for that price - absolutely sign me up for fluff and fold - to die for. The woman was super nice with all kinds of spiffy scents and whatnot she was going to add if we wanted. We opted for super clean and it was as advertised. Endorse. read more

Let me start by saying I really want to like midtown wash. They are open later than any other laundry service I know of and their employees are generally friendly and helpful. HOWEVER, their dry cleaning service is disappointing. I've had four shirts over the course of the past couple months that have had buttons either damaged or yanked off completely. I've tried to bring this to the attention of management, but their always 'out of the store' and I'm told to call back - it'd be nice for them to call me back. Also, the turn around time is sooo long - around 3 biz days if you're lucky. I will say that when a pair of pants got damaged, they eventually took back the pants and corrected the cleaning. Hopefully, the shirts will be the same. #fingerscrossed read more

Today was ny first visit, and I absolutely loved it. I now see what the rave is about. Once you have experienced your fair share of gross, disgusting, rude, and poor laundry mats , you begin to dread doing laundry. This place is the elite of the elite. I've experienced laundry places with horrible, to out of order restrooms, high price to use WiFi, and over half of all the machines out of order. Let us not forget the people hustling to sell dvds, cds, and socks. Also the bugs in the crevices of the machiness. Anywhoo enough of the past, and let's talk about how the expensive laundry mat is worth not dealing with the horrors of it all. When you experience greatness, why go back !? read more

I tend to like using laundromats vs washing at home. It's a time saver and I can wash larger items like pillows, blankets, and those super large thick towels. This was my 1st time at Midtown Wash, I'll definitely go back. It's very clean and well maintained. Machines are clean inside and out. Floor is clean. Very friendly environment. I thought parking might be an issue but there was plenty of free parking along the street. They have free coffee and WiFi. It's comfortable enough to read and relax. A lot of people sat outside. There's a ashtray outside at the end of the building. I'd prefer it down the street but that's probably not practical. 2 people brought friendly dogs. The dogs didn't wander around. They also have drop off service. Laundry supplies are available for purchase. I had about (equivalent of) 10 standard loads and used 2 large washing machines. Price was $6 for cold water and $7 for hot, $13 total. 2 tide pods in each. Dryers were $2 for 32 minutes. Everything was dry before time was up. Total was $17 plus 4 tide pods. Time was 1 hour 30 minutes including folding. Folding tables were also very clean. read more

I love the organic dry-cleaning offered at Midtown Wash. My clothes are spotlessly clean with no headache-inducing chemical smell! They even managed to get a nasty coffee stain out of my favorite lavender blazer. Although I haven't used their washer/dryers, Midtown Wash's tailoring services have served me well. I recently had them fix a sleeve on a dress others had botched. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and it's just a short half-mile walk from my home. (Farther than the cleaners at Piedmont & 10th, but oh so worth the extra time.) And here's the best part. Even with all the added bonuses - free Wifi, great location, clean facility - Midtown Wash is actually cheaper than many others in the area. read more

A perfect laundromat located midtown. I'm an Aussie staying a week in Atlanta, after an earlier week in DC, and needed to get some basic laundry done. Midtown wash is a 5km round-walk from the Westin Downtown, with a 45 minute stop over to get your washing and drying done - and all for less than USD $5.00!! Considering the hotel wants to charge $4 to wash 1 pair of socks this is a real bargain! The lady owner was also very nice to talk with, and helpful to initially navigate the coin slot and machines + provide me with soap for 75c. 5 out of 5 stars! read more

12/7/14: Update - moving it to a 3 star vs 4. Adding a photo too. Unfortunately, I'm tired of continually going with the machines broken (which cost me more money). The huge loaders don't really dry your clothes as well as breaking up a 6-load into the medium dryers. 6/5/13: Not the cheapest, but for a very new look and clean facility, I don't mind paying this rate! For instance, a six-load washer is $6, and I normally pay $5 or so. They do have a loyalty card, so after 10 washes, you get a free wash. There is always an attendant on duty. A few chairs outside to sit in while waiting! And I believe there is free wi-fi. read more

Haven't been here in about two years and it's really gone downhill after washers and dryers are broken and if they're not broken only except a card or coins but not both. This laundry mat is Ok but there are some issues and just plain unethical things going on. The dry cleaning aspect of the business is ok except they've broken buttons on my shirts. Their wash and fold service is ok, but the employees there seem to be treated poorly and I know it's not their fault they are sweaty and don't really want them folding my clothes. It's been hotter inside there than outside, which is saying a lot for Atlanta. The trash dumpster is just to the left of the building and generally over flowing, as are the ash trays where people smoke right out front where they wait. Parking is street side and usually not a problem but I have been backed in to, hit and run and the owner refused to look at the video for a look at who the person was. That's probably par for the course. I own the business next door. We are a boutique hair salon that is noted as one of the 'Best of the Best" salons in atlanta since 1997. In these times of covid-19 we are not operating every day and By appointment only. We have usually had our packages delivered to the Laundry mat when the salon was closed. Then one day the owner says we aren't taking your packages anymore. Basically because I park too close to their door when I'm there. Now in these times of Covid, I think people should do what they can to help each other not make it more difficult. I still don't understand. This is not a personal review it's business. I feel like the business cleanliness, temperature, quality of dry cleaning and overall attitude of the staff is 1 star. read more

Midtown Wash - Clean place with new equipment! - Laundromat Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

So ive been in ATL since November 2016 working on a movie. I been staying at one of the Residence Inns in Midtown. The hotel has great breakfast, friendly staff, and clean linens. What it doesn't have are consistently working washing and drying machines! They shit sucks. I decided to check this place out because i refused to ruin any more of my clothes. The hotel washers - when working- leave dirt and oil streaks on your clothes. And sometimes they leave no streaks, but your clothes dont resemble anything of being washed or cleaned. Oh an even better, sometimes when you go to remove your clothes they are soaked because the water didn't drain. Haha. The dryers leave your clothes with a still-wet-damp stench. And thats not ok. Who wants to walk around smelling like detergent and water that didn't settle well??! So I decided to check this place out today. This was one of the most expensive laundry mats I've been to, but I'll tell you this, my clothes were clean! #Bomb Again I say, my clothes were clean. Didn't leave any brown dirt streaks or oil marks. The dryers are high powered and actually get the job done. The Black lady who was working there was super helpful and deserves an award. The bathroom was decent and there is FREE street parking. read more

Clean laundromat, kind attendant, safe facility, machines work well. My clothes came out smelling like, well, like clean laundry.

I never thought there would be a day when I'd say "Man, that was a really great experience at the laundromat," but that day is now. Our washer was recently out of commission and we had piles of laundry to do and company on the way. Enter: saving graces of Midtown Wash. The washers and dryers are aplenty. $3.25 for a small washer, $6 for a large, and $0.25/6 minutes in the dryers. Efficiency is good and the dependability is worth the dollars spent. I was happy with the outcome and the "extra hot" setting on he dryers is pretty nice. Plenty of space for folding, too. In Midtown and not too far off from piedmont. The only negative I can really present is that parking is difficult. You have to find a street space amongst the many residential folk and other businesses. However, it is nice and quiet in the neighborhood. Not traversed by too much crazy traffic. Think I made it in and out, twice, in just over $10. Not all that bad and good to have in a pinch if the ol' washer at home is away. read more

Going to a wash house (for you non-southerners wash house = laundromat) is a very humbling experience. I feel like I should bring a boom box. Midtown Wash has ample machines to take care of all your laundry. Most machines take coins or credit cards for your convenience. Not very much parking around the wash house so you'll have to circle the block to find adequate parking. As of Jan. 2016, smaller washers are $3.50 with the medium and large washers at $4.50 and $5.50 respectfully. 50¢ surcharge for using hot water. Dryers are $1.25 for about 30 minutes and 25¢ for each additional 7 minutes. If you would rather the facility take care of your laundry, they charge $1.50 per pound. read more

Came here to wash my comforters since they don't fit in a regular size wash. The place is clean and the neighborhood feels safe during the day. Lots of people come in and out so that was nice. They have WiFi so I was able to work while I waited however the owner / staff had no idea what the WiFi name was and was a little frazzled. Overall for a laundry mat it gets the job done. I like that I can swipe my card and that this is a frequented place by locals. read more

I am newly without a washer and dryer. Yuck! Trust and believe this will soon be remedied. In the mean time, laundry must be done. I found Midtown Wash and this place made it as good as washing clothes can be (which is very limited good). The gentleman owner was so very pleasant. He made suggestions which saved me money on my washing. He told me that on Tuesdays and Thursdays he serves coffee and offers free detergent. He also gave me card that gains me a free wash after ten washes. He was so sweet! I saw him help a lady to her card with her laundry. MW offers free wi-fi. They have the standard change machine, detergent machine, and drink and snack machines. You can drop off your laundry and have them do it and they also do repairs on clothing items. The place is clean and I like how they have the larger washers and dryers for big loads. Anytime I have to do laundry I will go here. Customer service is outstanding. These people are so friendly. They are open until 10pm. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR DRY CLEANING HERE. The staff have a terrible habit of stapling the tags through the edge of the fabric on the dry cleaning, ruining garments then failing to take responsibility for their actions. The owner is unresponsive and dismissive to the issue. I had numerous shirts damaged and rendered unusable because of an employee being sloppy. Do not trust that your garments will be well cared for at this establishment. read more

The spot where Midtown Wash now stands was my neighborhood laundry back when I lived just a couple of blocks from there, so when I found out that the entire place had been remodeled I decided to trek over from my new spot in Inman Park and have a look. I am so glad I did! The place is clean and spacious, with free wifi and coffee, easy payment options, and plenty of places to sit and work while the laundry spins. When I made a mistake and left one of my husband's nice shirts with them for dry cleaning for almost three weeks, they didn't sell it and didn't even give me any attitude when I arrived to pick it up so late. And when I decided to try their wash and fold service, they actually told me that - because some of my clothes had gotten wet in the recent rain - they would probably end up charging me less than the original weight. When I came back, the very nice staffer was on top of it and I actually had to pay about $5 less than originally quoted. It would have been easier just to charge me the original price, but they didn't. Every time I've been there the staff has been cheerful, friendly and helpful. They even give you a card for a free wash once you've completed ten washes. I am so thrilled that the dark old laundry spot on 6th St. has become Midtown Wash, and I plan to haul my laundry over there from now on. read more

This laundry is,indeed, beautiful. They have a "free washing detergent" day and they offer coffee in the mornings. It's relatively quiet and the equipment is great! However... It bugs me that they still use coins! I could look past that and still consider them if the last time I'd gone I hadn't had an incident with the attendant. Even though she herself is black, I honestly think she has an issue with certain black males. It was near closing time when she asked about a load of laundry in a machine. When she asked the white couple, she was all smiles and rainbows. But when she realized it belonged to my friend, who was dressed in what some might consider "urban" attire... well let's just say her whole demeanor changed. All of a sudden she looked annoyed. Maybe even disgusted. She curtly let us know that we would not be able to dry once our clothes were finished and walked away. Really? Cool. She'd never seen the boo before and the time I'd been there before that, she was so bubbly and helpful that she even helped me fold my sheets. Watching how her attitude and demeanor changed within a few seconds really concerns me, so I haven't been back. I don't even know if she still works there but I've been put off ever since... read more

Perrier in the vending machine, free wifi, and excellent 60-pound-capacity washing machines the size of Chuck Norris's left testicle. If there's more a person could want in a laundromat, I can scarcely imagine it. Wash-dry-fold service with pickup and delivery? Check. Walking distance to scads of places to get good takeout? Check. I guess the only thing I'd eliminate is being closed after 10pm (until 7am), but I can forgive such a minor flaw. The 60-pounders start at six bucks and go up if you want an extra wash cycle (ching), an extra rinse cycle (ching), warm water (ching) or hot water (ching). Or, to put it in a more positive way, they top out at eight bucks for washing about 3 stuffed garbage bags full of clothes, and you can save up to two bucks by choosing more eco-friendly settings. I think it's perfectly fair to charge more for those who want a wash that costs more to deliver. And if you've only got one upright washer full of clothes, those are $2.25 no matter how hot the water is. A few things the website gets wrong: The music is not ambient; at the moment it's 1980s freestyle. That's fine, I'm a child of the 80s and I'm from Miami. This is the music I used to listen to wishing I had the courage to ask anyone to go out with me. And there's brewed coffee for 50 cents a cup (free on Tuesday and Wednesday, along with free soap on those days), but no espresso drinks at the moment. Then again, it's maybe 4 blocks to the Starbucks on Peachtree at 6th. Big whoop. In the time it's taken me to write this review, all of my laundry has been washed. I've got to go put it into the dryer now. The greatest value is this: you can wash as much laundry as will fit into your vehicle at one time, in parallel, within half an hour. It dries nearly as fast. And then you can go back to your life feeling blissfully smug at having done all your laundry in just a couple of hours, folding included. read more

Phew. Very long, mixed review ahead. First: I got a load of wash-and-fold done here, and it was excellent. Very fast, very clean and wonderful-smelling, perfectly folded, shirts hung. 10/10 would do again if I could afford it which I can't. HOWEVER, I also got some dry-cleaning done here. I left three pairs of pants, two silk shirts, a winter coat, and a sheath dress. I warned them ahead of time that the ponte one pair of pants and the dress were made out of were susceptible to "melting" from heat and asked if that would be a problem; I can always take them elsewhere. They promised it wouldn't be. I also had them check over my clothes for defects so they couldn't later claim there was something wrong all along (I am deeply mistrustful of dry cleaners; you'll see why). Lo and behold, I pick up my clothes later (and it took a long time-- I'm not expecting same day service, but three days when I drop them off at 7am is a bit much) and they're totally wrecked. I'm not sure how to post pictures here, but rest assured that they are completely unwearable. I posted them on an internet forum and got a dozen replies amounting to "WTF." I immediately took them back (Friday) and basically was like "what did you do." The employee said she couldn't help me, but agreed it looked horrible, and that the owners would call me on Monday. No call. I called back on Monday. She said he would call later that day. No call. I called back. She said he would get back to me before the end of the day. Still no call. I call the next day. And the next. And the next. And the next. At one point she says that the owners have taken my clothes "out" to be fixed somewhere. Still no call from the owner. Nothing. I call almost every day, at least every other, for two weeks. No response. Finally the employee says they're "all better" and I can pick them up. Meanwhile, I have only ONE pair of work pants, for two weeks of work. Not cool. I go to pick them up and this horrible woman is there who turns out to be one of the owners. Incredibly rude. I'm still trying to be nice at this point even though I hate them virulently. She gets my clothes for me, and I admit, I was impressed. They seemed to have fixed much of the problem. The pants had lost the "melted" look completely, but the dress was still screwy at all of the seams. I work in a professional context, so the dress was unwearable. Looking over the pants, I found a hole that had not been there (and remember, I had the employee check) when I dropped them off. Dead center on the thigh-- also unwearable. The woman is copping the worst attitude with me, and finally throws up her hands and tells her husband he has to "deal with" me. The husband at first tries to say it's all fixed, that they couldn't possibly have put the hole in my pants, etc. I'm just like, "okay, you ruined my pants and my dress. Both of them are unwearable. I'm a poor recent grad who can barely afford clothes anyway. And for the past two weeks, I've called EVERY day, to the point that your employee recognized my number on the caller ID, and you NEVER called me back, and you DIDN'T fix my clothes. SERIOUSLY???" Now, you're probably wondering why I gave them three stars. It's because at this point, he said "okay. You're right. What do you want." And I said, "for you to fix or replace my clothes," and he asked how much, and I pulled up screenshots that showed that the two items are still in store and together retail for $200, and he said, "how about we meet at $150," and I said, "okay." He even apologized very sincerely, though it was undermined by his wife making incredulous sounds and pulling bitchy faces because she's awful. I don't expect dry cleaners not to make mistakes, only to fix them if they do. And Midtown Wash DID make things right, even if I did have to ride their asses and get in a fight with that horrible woman. I will never, ever go back. The wash and fold was great, though. read more

Absolutely the best laundromat that I have ever, ever been to. Great employees, the owners are super friendly. Everyone is really helpful and friendly. Free wi-fi, albeit, a little slow. I think it is on Tuesday and Wednesday that they have free detergent and coffee. Check with them to be sure about that. Also, I've used them several times for wash& fold. Less expensive than another place closer to me, but for wash/fold and for machines. I love their wash & fold service, and they'll pick up and deliver for free, which is crazy awesome. The machines are always working and the place is always spotless. And, they always have the temperature completely comfortable. What else can I say? Midtown Wash rocks! Oh, always good music playing too. :-) read more

After reading all the wonderful reviews for this place, I couldn't wait to find a reason to use this place. I got the flu and was in no shape to attempt household chores. I dropped about a months worth of laundry and specifically asked the attendant to please hang all shirts. She informed me this was part of their protocol and to come back the next day around 8:00pm. Really? 8:00pm the next day even when I dropped the clothes off at 10:00am? When I came back to pick up my things, I noticed the office looked dark and several people were outside smoking. I waited in the office for several moments and looked around for an employee. It took 30 minutes for me to be acknowledged. Another patron realized I had been waiting for a while and found someone to help me. After she finished her cigarette, the attendant billed me, then brought out my clothes. I looked at the bags and noted that there were no hanging clothes. I asked her if my shirts were in another place but she told me that I didn't have any clothes to hang up, so no. When I finally got home, I started to put the clothes away and boy was I disappointed. After spending $85, I got a bag full of wrinkled clothes that I will now have to iron in my sick haze. I'm really disappointed in the service i received. read more

I've been coming here for 3 years. That's all about to come to a complete end. The first year/year and a half, perfect. No complaints. Then I noticed some changes. New management. My biggest complaint is the hot water not working. Went to the bathroom and washed my hands in cold water. Which means the hot water isn't on for the washers that IM PAYING EXTRA for to wash my clothes in. WTF? Why isn't the hot water on? I no longer get to stamp my loyalty washer card to get free washes. If you use your credit card to wash, there's a automatic hold of $20 on your card for 2-3 business days. Wash at your own risk. The ONLY reason why this review is 2 stars is because of the nice employees that work hard to keep the place clean. The new management sucks. My friends and I will no longer be washing at this laundry mat. Blusion Laundry Mat has better reviews and hopefully hot water. read more

Midtown Wash is a favorite weekly (ok, bi-weekly) experience. I like to go when they open at 7am. Only a few customers means it's nice and quiet and the attendant Pam is absolutely wonderful. A few helpful hints I would have liked when laundromat-hunting: Location: Convenient/walkable for South Midtown (and worth a little drive for others!) -- great for a little walk while your clothes dry. Parking: Street parking is plentiful, free, and easy to find in front of the building or on the cross-street. Prices: Wash ranges from $3.50-$6.25 per load depending on the size of the machine. I originally thought this was high, but the mega washers ($6.25) hold SO MUCH laundry! Dryers are HUGE and inexpensive, $1.25-$2 for 32 minutes (25 cents gets you additional 7 minute increments). Credit cards or quarters are accepted on almost every machine. Machines: Clean and efficient. 3 or 4 sizes. Wheel-y carts are nice and the big stainless steel tables are great for folding -- because admit it, you won't fold that stuff when you get home. Entertainment: Television is always on -- usually morning news or something pleasant. An abundant number of magazines are about and little nooks with tables/chairs are perfect for a bit of work. Snacks: Two vending machines offer chips/candy and about as many beverage options as you could imagine. Timing: Sundays and Monday mornings seem to be the busiest while Tuesday and Friday mornings are usually lighter. Wash cycles take 20-25 minutes and the drying takes 30-35 (even for big blankets and stuff!). Bathroom: Sink, mirror, toilet. 10/10 Laundry stuff: All kinds of detergent and things for sale if needed. I know they also offer dry cleaning and by-the-pound washing but I didn't use these services. I move out of state this week and wish I could take Midtown Wash with me -- Since I can't, I didn't want to leave without passing along some tips for future Midtown Washers. Happy Laundry-ing! read more
