If the planets align and you are lucky enough to be in the Point Arena area during one of these events by all means treat yourself to a half hour or hour of browsing. We found four black and white photo compositions by a local artist that are perfect for one of our rooms. There are a few more permanent galleries in the area which host the works of the richly abundant local talent and they are certainly worth visiting. But there is just something captivating about this Pop-up Gallery that appeals to one's Bohemian side.

I also loved the cupcakes...moist and not too sweet (also not too big in size)! Princess cake looked pretty but was not my liking, since it was just layers of cream covered in fondant. While macarons were also not the best I have had (they were a little too overcooked and hard), I think you cannot go wrong with their cupcakes and fruit flavored cakes! I would like to come back if I have a chance.

I got overstimulated here…read more It was super chaotic around 6pm on a Friday night. Its super echoey and children's screams bounced off the walls. Its also a pretty small space. The line was long, but staff got through it fast. I think the line situation needs to be improved because someone tried to cut us! There needs to be clear markings or some stanchions to help guide the line. Ice cream was meh. Nothing remarkable. But the location is nice and convenient to town.

We ordered from the outside window, so we didn't see the inside, but the woman (older, shorter hair, and glasses) helping us was incredibly friendly. We ordered six different cookies to sample, and every one of them was delicious. She mentioned they've been making the cookies for 42 years, and it happened to be my 42nd birthday! The cookies are a good size, not small at all, and at $2 each, they're a good value. Excellent customer service and tasty cookies. I would definitely recommend stopping by. Thank you! P.S. we ate the cookies before I could take pics. Oops.

I especially loved their beauty section, soooo many fantastic smelling bar soaps, and really cool beaded jewelry, incense and lotions. It's a bit hippy and it's just my style. It's my fav grocery store in the area :) Tip: They also have a tiny pop up out front that whips up the fattest burgers & they run specials for lunch! The mushroom burger is a 100% must try~

Cookie in the Crate is among the best cookies I have eaten, hands down!…read more A lil birdie in the form of the bf had once expressed to me that these were his favorite cookies. Whenever I hear "the best" homage given to anything, I always wear my skeptic hat when I actually try the "thing" in question for myself. Moist and chunky decadence that crumbles into mini morsels of chocolate, oatmeal raisin, or double chocolate chunk in your mouth - wow! So damn good! Of course the best way to wash this down is with an ice cold glass of leche, and if you're lactose intolerant like me, ummm, you'll take your chances! You can also order fudge (also delicious not in a chalky way), fudge sauce, and bundt cakes. I've only ordered Cookie in the Crate online, so I am not sure whether the headquarters is open to the public. Nonetheless, shipping is speedy and the cookies arrive fresh. These cookies are great to send as a gift (I just sent one of my bfs some) or to just order all for your lonesome, which the latter I recommend. Cookie in the Crate is nearly too good to share! Enjoy!
