I was very pleased with the outcome. It is located in a salon called Bangz and you let them know you're there when you enter the front door. Then someone lead you through the salon to go upstairs where Julie has a space for her work. The salon itself is rather pleasant looking. The spray booth is basic but works. She was kind enough to offer various levels of darkness desired. This was a first for me and I thought a great idea. The routine was similar to what I had in Charlotte. She takes cash or credit cards after the session. I would recommend her.

My husband gave me a body wrap, massage, and facial gift card for valentines day this year. I went…read morein for the body wrap and massage on Saturday. The body wrap wasn't really for me. I've received many body wraps before and they are warm and relaxing. Your covered in a nutrient rich mask after exfoliated, and wrapped up in a cocoon of blankets and heat blankets. Then you get a face and scalp massage for an hour. When your unwrapped you know all of the fluid surrounding you is yours. At prima you are wrapped in bandaged soaked in fluids and bags on your hands and feet. Then you go on an elliptical machine for an hour and every 15 minutes your bags are emptied and your re-soaked with minerals. So, you know the amount of fluid from the bandages and your own sweat cannot be distinguished. I was cold and the whole time, and was trying working really hard on the elliptical to stay warm. But the elliptical is called a gazelle and has zero resistance. So being wrapped head to toe in bandages really tight, plastic bags on your hands and feet, and riding an elliptical with no resistance is just a disaster waiting to happen. The woman wrapping me was very nice! The woman at the front desk was very nice as well. She seemed to have a lot more knowledge about the products than the woman giving the wrap. The massage was amazing! I cant remember the name of the guy giving it,but he asked a lot of questions about pressures and was professional. I'm looking forward to getting my facial soon!

If there is a display of products and you see a customer try one, you need to let the customer know it's not a tester instead of making them purchase it. That part was really not okay, even though you did offer a fresh new unopened box. Remember ladies, the customer is always right as someone who owns franchises of their own like this one. I wouldn't be happy knowing my staff makes sales this way and also argue back a bit when the customer says it's not okay. I won't be buying product from here anymore and may even cancel my membership due to the poor quality beds and bulbs being out in 2 different beds 2 days in a row. I am a nice person so I purchased the display cream just to avoid conflict but not leaving happy today. The staff is nice and friendly but I miss my old location as now I don't feel good about coming back here anymore.

Ultimate Tanning is the ONLY place and the BEST place to tan in Wilmington, NC. I've tried many…read moretanning salons in the past but none that compare to Ultimate Tanning! The owner, Charles Swain, provides the cleanest, most professional environment to tan in with the latest tanning products available, a variety of tanning beds to choose from and so much more. Each tanning bed is frequently maintained with hot, new bulbs. At Ultimate Tanning, you will NEVER have to worry about your tan fading or equalizing because of old bulbs. So many average tanning salons are guilty of taking your money but seldom change their lamps, making you feel like you've reached your tanning peak. Ultimate Tanning is far better than average. Convenience of location is important, and Ultimate Tanning is very conveniently located, however, I live 20+ minutes from the salon but still choose to tan only at Ultimate Tanning (even though there is another salon just five minutes from my home) because of Charles' commitment to his customers as well as the quality of his salon. Don't get too caught up in convenience and DRIVE THE EXTRA MILE if you can to enjoy the best tan in Wilmington! Ultimate Tanning has been in business for more than TWENTY YEARS. That alone speaks volumes!

I figured that it was a 'try us for free' option, so how bad could it be? Well, it was AWESOME, seriously MILES above the 2 other places I went! So maybe there's new management? I was NEVER forced to purchase anything, in fact, after my free spray tan (which they tacked on tons of extras as well for free) both the front desk gals were telling me "give it a couple days & make sure you're happy, then come talk to us if you want package details & we always have specials running of some kind". My tan was AWESOME. The color was AWESOME. It lasted me almost 2 weeks as well. My skin felt AWESOME.....getting the picture here? VERY HAPPY customer! When I went back in there was no wait (I bought a yearly unlimited plan) and I've now been back at least 4 times and NEVER waited. Check in is easy-peasy. Staff always nice. Never any pressure. Also - super important to me - this place is CLEAN. Last 2 I went into made me feel like I was walking on squishy wet stuff on the floor (eeeeew) and walls had stuff/spray on them & hairs all over the floors; I mean YUK! Soooooo - maybe things have changed since you last went & since those previous reviews....maybe they listened & did something about it & made it BETTER (isn't that what reviews are supposed to inspire??!!). ;o) Give them a try!

I loved it here but I'm not paying upwards of $100 a month to tan in beds that aren't tanning me properly.
