It's a small store and possibly understaffed. On a Tuesday during the market, they're kind of busy and there's not little to no area to lay out the sunglasses under consideration . Unlike some other sunglass huts, as well as other sunglass stores, they don't offer you a basket or a tray to put the ones you may be considering I had questions about the chromatic polarized versus polarized and impact on car head up display. Erik did not know what I was talking about which is OK. I explained it a few times and he seemed a little annoyed, so I got it out onto the phone to make sure I was describing it clearly. I think Corporate should do a better job of empowering and informing their managers. It's important that when you're selling sunglasses that are polarized that will make heads up display on cars not work that they know about that and at least are familiar with that concept. I felt like I had to convince him that this was really a thing! When I asked if he could get more information about this because perhaps their new technology that they are pushing with the chromatic might somehow address this issue. I have no idea and it's a good question Again he said he didn't know and all he would do is call another manager who probably wouldn't know. I was surprised because I thought that he could get a hold of Corporate to get more information and technical support about the products being offered I felt like he was annoyed with the questions. Avoid this store at all costs! I bought a pair of Oakley sunglasses from Sunglass Hut, and they sold me the display model without telling me. I later realized the box wasn't original, and the sunglasses had grease near the ears and a small scratch--clearly not brand new. (Sunglass Hut is supposed to sell you new products, not display models with signs of wear--especially at full price.) When I went back to return them, the so-called "owner" was extremely rude and refused to honor the return, even though they knowingly sold me a handled, used product at full price. This is shady business and totally unacceptable. Incredibly rude guy. If you're spending your hard-earned money, go somewhere else where they actually respect their customers and sell what they advertise. I will never shop here again, and neither should you! read more

Claire was a horrible sales attendant. She was incredibly rude to me. On top of that, she would not stop touching my husband. I understand trying to be friendly, but telling my husband that I was way too ugly for him, and that she could have him, beyond crossed the line. I wanted to take the time to write a review as I had a wonderful customer service experience there. My glasses had stretched and became a bit big/loose for my face (I have gone in to other Sunglass huts and purchased sunglasses but this by far had the best customer service) one of their Associates Devika was so helpful I asked if by chance she could tighten up my glasses as they kept falling off my face and she went out of her way to help and tighten them for me. Very kind of her and I will make sure to come back the next time I need another pair of sunglasses and let my family and friends know (when they ask for a recommendation) about the Sunglass Hut store at this location and how helpful Devika was. Bought two pairs of sunglasses at the Denver Airport Sunglass hut and they ended up not being to my liking, never even wore them. Later on I went to the Sunglass Hut in S.B. and they inform me that they will not honor the 90-day "Easy Return" policy that is clearly printed, in writing on my receipt because they did a corporate shift to the return policy between the time of my purchase and the time of my return. The New policy is apparently now 30 days. The sales rep. Jenny gets so confused she cannot do the return and gives me her manager's number to call, she is totally flustered. I call her manager Tracy and she acts all weirded out I am calling her even though her own employee just specifically told me to call her. Finally return again a few days later (which is an inconvenience) and the staff act like they are doing me some huge favor by returning the shades. The Manager Tracy says she's only doing it to "avoid a scene" because I yelled at her other employee. Absolutely not true and pretty silly to pretend you are doing me a favor by honoring the return policy written on your own receipt. Will be going elsewhere for sunglasses from here on out, seriously guys get it together. read more

We stopped in since the bf needed new sunglasses. Small shop in the Paseo Nuevo shopping center facing State Street. Limited selection, but surprised that they carried my Coach Kristina sunglasses. They have an array of polarized glasses, which I thought was cool since I wanted to see what brands carried polarized. The bf found a pair of polarized Ray Bans for $200+. The girls asked various questions to see what kind the bf was looking for. He plays golf but doesn't use sunglasses while playing. The girls were helpful and they even offered to clean my pair of Coach sunglasses. read more

Odd and limited selection, hovering employees and a scummy feel keep me out of this Sunglass hut and force me into the heart of Paseo Nuevo to their competitors. Location Location Location That's all this Sunglass Hut has to offer. I stopped in this past weekend to look for some high end fashion glasses, of which they 3 pair. Really? Extremely popular and not cheap. Ok, let's look at another brand of "everyday" shades around the $150 mark. Immediately the sales person popped up next to me and tried to swing my attention to another brand. While I can appreciate cross selling, it would be worth your wile to up-sell in the same line rather than jump to a very different brand. Pushy and fresh meat sales persons aside, the location is dirty. I'm sure it's hard to keep a white floor clean when the doors are always open to the street so maybe you should go with a darker color. The appearance of the staff is not fresh either. Maybe I cough them after a long party night at the university. Sure looked like it. So here's what you do. Go in and try on what you like. Make note of the item numbers and go online for a better price. Although you're only touching your keyboard, I'm sure you'll get more warm and fuzzy feelings from it than you will from the staff here. read more

I would love to write a stellar review for this Sunglass Hut storefront based on the interaction I had with their staff. They were all very helpful in helping me pick out the ideal pair of sunglasses. However, I am a bit disappointed with Sunglass Hut and how they operate as a company. I purchased a pair of sunglasses from this Sunglass Hut storefront with the intent of using them for motorcycle rides. Upon closing the face-shield on my motorcycle helmet, the rainbow effect caused by the polarization made wearing them while riding obnoxious. I immediately took them back and exchanged them for a non-polarized pair. I rode with the new pair over the course of a week, but there was no noticeable difference to me between their $200 glasses or the old $40 pair from Costco I had been using, and the wife wasn't crazy about the way they looked on me. Per the store receipt, the return policy on the back states "Easy Returns"- If you're not completely happy, you can return them within 90 days for a full refund credited back to the original payment method. This statement couldn't be further from the truth.. Because I exchanged the original pair that I purchased, then returned the second pair for a refund, their computer system does not allow them to issue a refund directly back to my debit card. They asked me for my address and advised that they would be mailing a check from their home office. Fine, however it's been a week since the original return was processed and their customer support has stated that it takes 10 days before the check is to be mailed (from their office in Florida, using the slowest mail carrier option available). They can't even check the status of the inquiry before 10 days. When the return policy on the receipt states "Easy Returns.. within 90 days", you think to yourself, what have I got to lose? Well, their return process has certainly been the opposite of easy, between Sunglass Hut holding your funds hostage and their lackluster customer support. The whole process is archaic and I vow to never set foot in a Sunglass Hut store again. read more

A high fashion store with a beautiful aesthetic appearance that beams its luxury products for all to be buy. However, this store, along with all other Sunglass Hut chains, are run by the parent company, Luxottica. A company that uses an old fashion financial system that leaves customers unsatisfied. Upon attempting to return two pairs of sunglasses, the staff and regional employment development trainer both were lost at attempting to helping myself receive a three-week-old refund. How can the employees not be confused when a piece of paper from their employer, Luxottica, claims the items were returned and credited back to my bank account, while my bank denies this to ever have taken place? Three weeks later, totaling of six weeks, I received my refund check, but I did not receive an apology. This is the major problem with this store. There is no customer service. The store runs like an out of control bureaucracy, because when problems occur, no employee takes responsibility for errors that take place, but rather they send angry customers to different people that also refuse to assume responsibility. Because of the lack of customer service at this store, the glamour of their expensive sunglasses wears off, and the true plastic, metal, and glass, becomes an overwhelming disgust. I came in for an easy repair while visiting from Los Angles on Labor day. I had a long drive back and needed a simple screw to repair my sunglasses - which I had purchased at another Sunglass hut location. When I asked for help, the salesperson immediately informed me that "We don't do repairs on weekends or holidays". I looked at her questionably and she continued, "If stopped to help you, a long line of customers might form..." They were not busy, and the repair would have taken 3 minutes if she had the ambition or slightest interest in helping me. I've been to a few of the other sunglass retailers (that sell genuine product, not the $15 throwaway sunglasses) and this is the only one where I was truly assisted in searching for a new pair of Ray Ban. This is more of a review of an employee and his customer service rather than store quality/selection. Omar helped me out today at Sunglass Hut on State St and was awesome. I went in to replace a screw that had fallen out of a pair of sunglasses that were years old and weren't purchased at a Sunglass Hut. Despite that, Omar was instantly knowledgeable and helpful in finding a replacement screw. He wanted to make sure he got the best fitting screw so he insisted I go ahead and continue my lunch break up the street while he found a perfect match. I got back from my lunch almost an hour later and Omar had repaired and even cleaned my sunglasses. When asked what it would cost he simply smiled and said "nothing". I asked him if I could write a letter of rec or email to his boss and he said it was "no worries and no need". So here is his review. Hopefully his boss sees this. For 15 plus years, I am brand loyal to Maui Jim. They have a NO HASSLE guarantee. BUT, when I went back to the Sunglasses Hut to exchange my glasses, the sales person was SO unprofessional and 'inconvenienced' by MY problems, she told me to come back.
