I have been to this store on multiple different occasions for various help. First few times was for help with my $420 pair of sunglasses and they either won't or "can't" help and refer you to some website. This time I was trying to return a pair of glasses I got for my dads birthday that are possibly the worst quality glasses I've held and they were over $300. My dad wore them for maybe 5 minutes in the kitchen and they refuse to take the return because "they are scratched" (they are not). Scam of a store don't go there! read more

I've generally liked a Sunglass Hut. I took my gal here a couple weeks ago - she needed some legit sunglasses so I surprised her by taking her here first before a picnic. We found some we liked, one of the sales girls talked us through our choices, helped pick a color that went with her skin, etc. We didn't get much info about the lenses for each - if they were polarized, good for driving, etc, but still we were happy with our choices. Expensive but they have the good stuff here. Protect those eyes people! read more

Took over 30 min to do a return. Literally. The staff was so nice and polite - but totally unprepared for basic return. No manager on duty. They had to call another store to help and then they still couldn't do it. I had all necessary receipts - but they didn't have permissions to complete transaction. Frustrating for all. Poor management to not be available to help staff or set them up for success. Again - staff couldn't have been nicer and more apologetic - but it was a huge waste of time. Manager fail. read more

My newest obsession is sunglasses. And I'm tired of wearing the cheap Target kind that break in a matter of days - because at the end of the day, I'm spending $15-30 a month on cheap pairs, when I could be putting down a bit more and getting some solid frames. So I bit the bullet and decided two things: 1) I'm cool enough to wear wayfarers 2) It's okay to drop a bill on a pair of sunglasses. Just don't drop them in the lake or leave them at the bar. On a cool Thursday afternoon, the really nice sales guy told me I looked good in everything I tried on (of course he did) and wasn't too pushy with sales tactics. The store was clean and well organized, and when I insisted that my final pair be pulled new from packaging and not the display pair that everyone else has touched, he obliged. Their prices are a tad higher than deals you'll find online (hello, Zappos!), but if you're into instant gratification like I am, SGH fits the bill. Great location with plenty of parking out front on the street or in the garage. I came in to get a replacement pair of sunglasses since I broke mine. I picked out my pair, showed the girl and she got a box to put them in. I asked her if I could have a pair that hadn't been worn or tried on by other people. She looked at me weird and said "these are new." Yes I get they're new but it grosses me out that other people have put them on their face. I just wanted an unworn pair. She told me she'd see if she could find any in the back. Come on, its not like these were that popular of glasses. After a few minutes she came back with a new box that was unopened. I paid and left. Overall this is a great location with comparable prices to competitors. I just wish the staff a was more friendly. read more

I like this location because parking was a breeze, and because the women who were working there let me try on no less than 100 pairs. I admired their patience. I do not buy things like sunglasses on a whim, and I need to make sure that they are *just right*. I've been a fan of Ray-Bans for years, and I ended up buying another pair of Wayfarers, but this time in matte black. They are so cool. read more

I purchased a pair of sunglasses here a few months ago, that experience was OK. I didn't find the staff to be particularly knowledgable or helpful, although the salesperson who helped me was friendly enough. One of the lenses recently cracked and Luxottica's website recommended taking it to the retailer you purchased from to discuss repairs. Sunglass Hut is only interested in selling you a new pair; they won't consider helping you get it repaired or order a new lens for you, although apparently if you source a lens on your own they will install it for you. I don't understand the logic in any of that. I did not find the person I spoke with on this occasion to be particularly empathetic or helpful. At this point I will order sunglasses from the manufacturer directly since any service beyond sales is apparently too challenging for Sunglass Hut to deal with. read more

I went in there to see if they had a replacement nose piece for sunglasses. The woman working (Jen) was super, super nice, she added a new nose piece, tightened up my frames and cleaned my lenses. No charge. I didn't buy my sunglasses from them (or any Sunglass Hut location). These days I feel like it is hard to find decent customer service so it was a breath of fresh air today and a nice way to start my week! read more

I love the variety that sunglass but carries however at this location I felt so annoyed by the ladies working here. I appreciate them trying to have good customer service skills but this was above and beyond annoying. They kept standing right next to me and behind me asking me over and over again if I'd found any I liked and kept handing me different pairs to try and would not leave me Alone. This store is clean, bright, and fresh! They have a huge selection of different brands and styles to choose from here. I like this location because it is less crowded than other stores in nearby malls. If you are looking for a new pair of specs head over to SGH and take a look. The sales people here are friendly and not too pushy. I Will definitely be back to use my $25 coupon from the receipt survey I took when buying a gift and purchase a new pair of Ray bans! read more

I have been to Sunglass Hut and the customer service there is great. I hate shopping for sunglasses bc it's hard to find ones that look good on me but because the managers there are knowledgeable of their products, they put me in two different pairs! If you need any help, go see David and Richard! Though their store might be small, they are willing to get any pair for you from another local location or online! read more

I bought a pair RayBan sunglasses 2 weeks ago, I did not like the frames, they felt a bit flimsy, so I found another pair of Oakley moonlighters that worked much better for me at a different Sunglass Hut in LA. I came to Sunglass Hut on McKinney to return the Ray Bans and the "manager" told me there was a scratch on them and that he couldn't help me return them. I looked all over for the scratch and couldn't see it. I asked to speak to a manager, but he said he was the manager. I didn't stay to argue with him because I was in a hurry and as soon as he realized I was returning rather than buying he turned cold and uninterested. That evening I showed my husband and Mother in law and they couldn't see any scratches either. The manager was wrong. All other retailers, Nordstrom, Amazon, Neiman Marcus, etc are super helpful when you have a return, but this place is rude, inflexible and needs to get with the times. Never shopping at Sunglass Hut again. Fortunately my mother in law loved the sunglasses so I gave them to her. No scratches, brand new. Don't know if I am missing something and this is top-down from Corporate or if this "manager" was just saving the store $150 vs a lifetime of business from me and my family. Business 101: customer service breeds customer loyalty. Terrible experience. read more
