I came to see Henry because I have been experiencing a lot of muscle pain, along with nerve pain. I…read morethought a good massage therapist could help me manage this pain. Sadly, I got no help from Henry and was left highly disappointed and upset with my experience. The first time I saw Henry, he attempted to misdiagnose me with fibromyalgia when I clarified I had already been to see licensed medical professionals and was in the process of being tested, and no one had diagnosed me with it. It made me uncomfortable that he disregarded this information and jumped to this conclusion so quickly and arrogantly. He minimized my pain by making one of the most unprofessional comments I have ever heard, by insinuating that I could not actually be in a lot pain because I had never done sports. According to him, only people who have done sports in their life and gotten injured truly know pain. Why should I have to prove to you Henry that I feel pain? What about people with various other illnesses? Are they not allowed to feel pain because they haven't done sports? I came to you to help manage my pain, not to be medically gaslit. Henry continued to make various unprofessional comments during this appointment, not only asking me if I planned to have children, but more specifically HOW I planned to have children. Excuse me? Do you think it is appropriate to ask women about their fertility issues while they are trying to get a massage from you Henry? Because of his inappropriate comments, I stayed mostly quiet throughout this appointment because of how highly uncomfortable I was made to feel. I gave this man the benefit of the doubt by going to him a second time because I was DESPERATE for a good massage therapist. I regretted that decision very quickly. During my second appt Henry refused to continue to provide his services to me because I was honest on how his method of PEMF had caused me pain. Also, not once did I receive a proper massage, because my time was wasted with random breathing exercises or the PEMF. His reasonings for not wanting to help me were that he did not think his methods would help my nerve pain, but this was clearly bs. Again I paid for a MASSAGE, not what you were trying to sell me. If this is the type of treatment you are forcing onto your clients, that should be made clear on your website so nobody wastes their time like I did. If you choose you don't like one of his treatment methods, he will not only REFUSE to accommodate you, he will also "fire" you as a client. Also, by the way Henry, have you ever heard of INFORMED CONSENT ? I had specifically communicated to you at the beginning of my second session that I wanted to know what to expect during this appointment, but was blatantly ignored. I was not given any information about this PEMF technique prior to him using it on me. He only explained what this PEMF was AFTER he had begun using it on me. His disregard for my consent not only made me very uncomfortable, but resulted in my back pain worsening. I could go on and on about the complete lack of respect Henry had with me, including a complete lack of bedside manners and unprofessionalism. I was never once rude to Henry or unprofessional with him to merit this type of treatment. I sincerely hope Henry that you become more self aware to the things you say to your clients who are in a vulnerable state and are coming to see you for help, NOT to be gaslit, mistreated, and disrespected, like you were with me.

I felt like my boyfriend does better when I ask him she didn't hit any points that needed attention. She just lost and glazed over everything. She charged me $45 and told me that a one hour massage would be $65 which made no sense I will not be going back to this place. I think they were unprofessional and this place does not deserve a star. It's all exterior appearance, but not justified with internal work that's needed or needs to be done.

Unfortunately, what I experienced yesterday on my first visit to Mint Leaf doesn't leave me wanting to come back. While my therapist was kind, it seems he was left on his own (with perhaps one other person), and appeared very harried. I arrived a few minutes early and the door was locked, tried calling and nobody answered. Ten minutes passed, the massage now late, and another confused first-time client arrived to wait with me. The door was finally opened by the poor harried therapist, who then gave us paperwork to fill out (this should have been encouraged before the start time of the massage). I was then sent to the bathroom to put on a very confusing and tattered set of clothes (??), leaving my underthings on I guessed?, then went into the massage room to find there isn't even a face cradle; there was a sort of rolled up dish towel, but I spent most of the time on my stomach trying to breathe. I also believe that, especially given the logistics of a good Thai massage, each (female) client should be asked if she is ok with a male therapist. My 90 minute massage was late, short, stressful, and I probably left feeling tenser than when I arrived. No part of this felt like "self-care." I tipped my therapist well and didn't say anything negative aside from asking if he were the owner, but as he wasn't, I just checked out and left. It's been a rough couple of weeks and I was really looking forward to finding a great Thai massage place in town, but this one left me emotional and missing my old place. I hope I just caught them on an off day, and if I hear some rebuttal of this review, may try them again.

I had a 50mile race coming up and had a bit of an injury that needed attention ASAP. Trish was immediately available, she was so kind and welcoming. Sometimes an entire day is spent riding and or running alone. A good massage therapist is tough to find who actually knows their way around sports related injuries, tightness and recognizes where pain is originating from when effected from remote areas of the body. Trish is one of those few. I stuck with one singular therapist for YEARS because of the fear of looking around and missing the mark in my choices again and wasting those precious dollars and hours on the table. I called Trish after roughly 6 years of knowing her finally when I found myself in a pinch unable to grab an appointment with one of my very trusted therapists. Having decided I heard enough people say her "human touch" was right on, I went for it and no regrets at all! Trish worked her way through upper and lower back and neck issues, a bound up nerve in my back effecting my neck and took everything in my legs in detail to release nerve pain found from my sciatica that had been flaring up giving me problems all in about 90 minutes. She talked the entire time (by my own choice, I'm a talker, I don't sleep or sit idle well), is personable, warm and kind and has the desire to get you working and on your feet. She can identify problems well and while one 90 minute session is never enough, that first one gave me just what I needed to have super fresh feeling legs the next day to take my first overall win in the Camarillo Marathon! The day never for one step gave me any grief. The congratulations at the finish were something I'll always remember and good chuck of it came due to being loose and free moving. My only regret is I haven't gone back "regularly", but that's just me. I procrastinate and don't want to take the time out to go lie on a table. If you can get in to see Trish at "Human Touch Massage Therapy", go! You won't leave there with any regrets and I promise you'll be back again and again with an overall improvement in your body's movement.
