This café is one of the most wholesome places I've ever been to. I was greeted by two very nice people as soon as I came in the door. But before I could even place my order, I was mesmerized by all the cute paintings throughout the café! My coffee was very cheap compared to most other coffee shops I've been to. I highly recommend stopping into this place for not just a coffee, but for the experience. A special thanks to Amy!! And to Glenwood for the game I'll definitely see yall again soon! read more

Idk what happened to this place but it looks nothing like the photos. I miss it when it was Irene cafe, a cozy place to unwind and enjoy QUALITY food. The way it is now is so uninviting, dirty and just not pleasant to be in. I'm so disappointed in the quality of the food and the atmosphere. Kidane please come back! read more

When you pull in you will notice there is easy parking. The eatery has a black and yellow sign up top, but it's the second storefront from the left. When you walk in you will notice eclectic decor from the picture to the wall art. This non profit eatery has an amazing owner who provided great customer service. I had a waffle with bacon egg and cheese omelette combo and a caramel latte. The coffee was delicious, but the food was ok. My taste buds may be different from yours so I would definitely support this non profit and give this place a try. read more

Because this cafe is a nonprofit that takes pride in excellent food, service, & ambiance in order to help the community:) First I did not know that it was nonprofit until the end when I handed the lady (sorry forgot her name) behind the counter the tip and she proceeded to put it into the box on the counter and I inquired, which truly made me happy to have chosen this location for breakfast. The cafe is the cutest, cozy, and inviting establishment that smelled amazing. It is filled with artwork, jewelry, & paintings. There is a beautiful welcoming woman cooking and serving great food and coffee. I choose the B.E.C and my friend the waffle. When it came my mouth watered and my tastebuds awakened! We were not disappointed:) Freshly made and nicely served (see pics). I don't live in the area but if I did I would definitely make it a regular stop. read more

Just like its namesake ... Sunflower ... this little place is golden! It's been a while since I've been to Mint Hill, so searched Yelp to find a place to meet my daughter-in-law for brunch. The limited menu looked amazing ... waffles of every description, salads and coffees ... but their mission really spoke to my heart. Sunflower Club Cafe & Outreach provides a helping hand to families and individuals in need of food or supportive services. Check out there website at https://sunflowerclub.org/. Upon arrival, I had time to chat with the owner while I waited for my brunch date. The cafe is full of art/crafts by local artists. Proceeds from those items is split between the artist (20%) and 80% to the local charities mentioned on their website. Oh yea, I ordered the BEC (bacon, egg & cheese) waffle with a caramel macchiato and my DIL got the Egg Salad and peppermint coffee. Everything was delicious, and the owner and her assistant were welcoming and attentive. When in the quaint township of Mint Hill, treat yourself to brunch at Sunflower Cafe, and please consider buying one of the local crafts while you're there. read more

Delicious ! I had a latte and a BLT for lunch, and both were exceptional. The BLT was served between two soft waffles with all the fixings, and wa the best I've had in a very long time! And the people were all so nice. And they support local art! I'll definitely return. read more

Egg Salad on the menu is delicious! I was surprised wi came with 2 tiny waffles "waffle bites" is what she called them with a sauce that brought the flavors together wonderfully! Highly recommend this tiny local hole in the wall, feel good cafe! Bonus: they are a non profit many of the kids are volunteers, ask about how they help the community and how you can while your there! read more

What a great little place. The lattes were excellent, the BLT waffle was very unique and the first few bites, I wasn't sure what I was eating but I still really liked it. My wife's banana, Nutella, walnut and honey waffle was yummy too. The decore was fun and loaded with paintings, toys, community outreach stuff and a bunch of other items. The best part was the owner's young daughter who was helping out. She was the best all time server I've had. I am relatively new to the area and I love to check out cafes wherever I go. I went inside and was welcomed with a delightful vibe. I ordered a regular ice pumpkin latte and a garden salad with lemon vinaigrette. The garden salad was amazing and to die for. The lemon vinaigrette paired it so well with the combination of fresh peppers and greens. I would like the pumpkin latte to have a bit more flavor, but overall my experience was wonderful and I would come back any day. read more
