Cute shop! They've been around for a few years, theyre location is quite hidden but that only makes for better parking! They have a ton of options and the staff are really sweet. I liked my coffee - will be back for more!

One heck of an egg sandwich! Bacon egg cheese hash brown and hot sauce on a brioche bun! Went down great with their house roasted iced coffee.

Coffee roasters. Bakery. Cakes. Bagels. Sunflowers. And pure AMAZINGNESS. Thanks what Sunflower Bakery is. They're your local mom and shop stop where they know you by name (especially my hubby Justin). This little gem is in the heart of Pawling and it's such a quaint little captivating spot that it will quickly steal your heart. The theme? You guessed it. My favorite flower! It lives by it and it also shines like it. During covid they've created an amazing outdoor space that is just so adorable and perfect to safely drink your cup of coffee. Ok. Also. Mind you, they roast their own beans and create their own blends. Most importantly, dark roast is always available! All sorts of bagel flavors are available my favorite being the everything and jalapeño. Different bakery items are available, our personal favorite being the chocolate chip muffin which is HUGE. They make custom cakes and cupcakes but they will almost always have vanilla cupcakes available if you have any last minute needs. This bakery is everything and most importantly family operated where their customers also become family. Give them some love and try our favorite combo: everything bagel toasted with cream cheese sliced in half with a chocolate chip muffin and a black dark roast hot coffee. Perfection.

Couldn't even wait to take a picture...so good!

This place is a gem. Ordered for Christmas and drove up from NYC. Ordered pumpkin bread, apple pie, 3 gingerbread kits and Christmas cookies. Blown away - better than expected! The gingerbread house kits were the highlight of our holidays - 3 adults had a blast building over two days and the kits were so well done - gingerbread was perfect and lots of candies for decorating. The icing was perfect! Definitely will be ordering again next year. Everything was delicious - especially the apple pie. We forgot about it in the chaos of Christmas and didn't cut it until 5 days later...absolutely delicious! Christmas cookies...absolutely adorable and so good. We ate so many in the car on the way home, we had to place another order. Great bakery, super nice people, worth the drive!

Amazing place!! Such lovely and attentive staff, delicious options and very fresh food and bakery items. Thank you for the wonderful welcome and service. (for reference: I got the crispy chicken sandwich with fresh cut fries and coleslaw, peanut butter bars, pumpkin ginger cookies, carrot cake bar, millionaire bar and raspberry swirl bars. Wow!)

The first girl being told that there isn't tomatoe soup ready and we need to wait another 20 minutes.

We are in here waiting while other party got our food, then we asked the girl, very politely, to give us whatever they have (apparently the tomato soup finished) because we have a docto's appointment at 1 pm. We arrived at 12.15. There are 4 other patrons in here who all came after us, and 3 of them are already done eating. We are still waiting while one of the girls is telling that they are very busy while both of them are standing behind the counter, talking to each other, doing absolutely nothing. It's 12.57 already. We are still not served, and we spent over $90 for food and cookies in this place. 2 of our orders came and they got the third one wrong. Horrible service. All claimed they are overwhelmed. 4 costumers inside and overwhelmed. Ridiculous

Ive ordered 3 custom cakes from here so far. They're always so beautifully decorated and taste even better than they look.

Still our traditional yearly Easter brunch and carrot cake pick-up…read more The wagyu burger was outstanding, with my wife declaring it the best she's had. Good thing we opted for medium instead of medium well as we think it would have lost some deliciousness with more cooking. The pekin duck melt was okay. It had a sweet flavor profile, sorta reminding me of bahn mi, but not as deep in layered ingredients . Unfortunately I think the aioli I asked to take out (wife doesn't like mayo and she wanted to share) was essential to counter the otherwise one-note sweetness that was overbearing after a while. The wagyu burger was definitely the star so I that's what we'll both have next year. Place as always looks nice and inviting and service was friendly and fast.

Cosmopolitans are always made the same way, but there's something that they use that I dislike, I don't know what it is, I would tel them not to use it, I think it's contro? Anyway this restaurant is very trendy! I ordered the tacos, and for an appetizer: nachos!! The nachos were delicious, the mix of tastes is unique and perfection. The tacos were 100% the best tacos I've ever tasted around these areas. Bravo

Despite its name, the stars of the show at this bakery aren't the baked goods. The real attractions…read morefor us, at least, are the hot food items. Some of the options on display in the case by the front door: - Empanadas (queso, carne o pollo; around $5 each, I think) -- well fried, well blotted, well filled, and well seasoned. My family eats what I'm sure is an unhealthy volume of empanadas in NYC and elsewhere, from street carts on "up." El Cisne's are some of the best we've had in a long while. - Bolon de verde con chancho (around $13) -- mashed green plantain balls topped with chunks of... "dirty pig." (Ours came with chewy diced chicharrón. :) This was my first time having bolones de verde and they reminded me of mofongo, but with a creamier, softer, moist plantain base. The fellow at the counter convinced me to get ours in platter form with a fried egg and "salad" (curtido with pickled onion and tomato) on the side, which turned out to be a total winner. Although I'd requested scrambled, the egg came sunny side up, in retrospect a better choice. Warm, liquid yolk lacquer over creamy plantains = magical! The curtido was a game changer, the fresh, acidic vegetables a perfect foil to what would have otherwise been an overwhelmingly heavy plate. And an Ecudorian hot sauce served alongside -- fairly liquidy -- was also fantastically good with everything, possibly made in house. - Ecuadorian style tamales, wrapped in green banana leaves (around $5), are available warm at the counter. The innards include from-frozen peas, carrots and green beans, a few slivers of bell peppers, and a balanced, but moderate amount of chicken or pork. The masa is (still) a bit less silky than my favorite versions for what it's worth -- but every tamale maker has their own style, and the overall effect was enjoyable. - Humitas are slightly sweet and a little denser, harder and dryer than what I am familiar with. Again, perhaps a stylistic difference. My Spanish is terrible and certainly the staff are better at English than I am at Spanish. But even if you're not a native Spanish speaker, just have some patience with communications. It'll all turn out fine. =) p.s. Would love to see prices posted by or near the food and/or on an itemized receipt.

ORIGIN: El Cisne (pronounced El - Seez - Neh) is an…read moreEcuadorian bakery named after a city in the Central American country. The bakery opened in fall 2022, and is the product of a family effort -- Jessica Rivera manages, her fiancé, Luis Alvarez, and her father, Meisias Rivera, bake, while her mother instructs how to make Ecuadorian treats. LOCATION: El Cisne is located in a New Milford strip mall. CONCEPT: Once inside, customers can get a taste of Ecuador. Complementing the bakery focus, El Cisne also offers a small grocery with Ecuadorian pantry staples that are hard to find elsewhere, such as dried purple corn on the cob, purple corn flour, and cinnamon sticks. Small bags of salty snacks, such as salted, crunchy broad beans and corn. EXPERIENCE: I never tried Ecuadorian baked goods before, but El Cisne makes it easy to be adventurous, with a beautiful wooden display case from which customers may grab items with tongs. I selected three breads, and was surprised to find at the register that my selection only totaled $4.50. Two of the items were filled with Ecuadorian cheese -- a salty, crumbly cheese that is apparently included in a wide range of dish types. Upon my second visit I came equipped with suggestions from neighbors who are from Ecuador. Dishes not to be missed include the guava-filled rolls, hot chocolate, and Morocho. Morocho, composed of dried corn, milk, sugar, and seasoned with allspice and cinnamon, is a special hot pudding/drink that takes hours to make. In the fall, look out for Colada Morada, a fruity drink associated with Day of the Dead. Nonetheless, there are plenty of familiar options available as well, such as flan, custard-filled pastries, and cakes. El Cisne is a welcome addition, as residents in the vicinity had previously been limited to purchasing cakes baked at grocery stores. TIPS: To catch a sip of Morocho you must arrive in the morning! Pair sweet with savory, such as Morocho with sugar-topped cheese empanada. Looking for something less sweet? Select hot chocolate instead of Morocho. Baked goods are ever-rotating out of ovens, some restocked more frequently than others. I suggest you ask which rolls are the most fresh, as this appears to vary by day and time. The bakery is designed for take out, but there is one cafe table with two chairs available.
