First off have been coming to RC Studio for years and never thought to write a review. It's a such…read morea lovely store, with loots of unusual items, decorative, jewelry, artwork, lighting etc. Today we bought a front door mat, 2nd one we have bought. We also got 2) glasses to use for juice. They were $40 each, so only purchased for ourselves, not the grandkids. I also bought a cute inexpensive ring. Angela helped us as was extremely friendly, as usual. In the past we also purchased one of his hanging lights. Highly recommend stopping in.

Many of the stores have remained the same providing a familiarity over time while others have changed providing new store fronts to explore. Rowan Chase Studio occupies a corner store welcoming visitors to the area while showcasing some of the great artists in the area. While I believe the shop has changed ownership over time, the studio that is there stays true to its local roots highlighting beach and ocean pieces of art with a modern twist. When you walk in you are embraced by color and "warm" art. I love going in here just to peruse the store to see what they have in. The art they have is constantly changing reflecting the artists' changing styles. There are paintings, drawings, woodwork and glass all of which will provide a memory of your trip to Morro Bay. While we have purchased glass in the past, this time I went for some beautifully carved wood that will accentuate our PNW home. I was glad to hear they shipped because I don't have any room in my car! There are many galleries along this road and I just love these tributes to the creative minds in the area. RC studio is by far one of my favorites and perhaps if I had become a corporate lawyer, I may be able to make a purchase every time I entered the store!

The New Times ran a feature showing some of the work on exhibit, so we drove out to the coast for the day and sauntered in. The gallery is refurbished since days of old, and features a nice exhibit space on the first floor, while a second large art gallery is somewhat hidden up a set of stairs. The bird drawings paintings, and prints were uniquely evocative of our central coast area and the works also drew upon the beautiful surrounding environment. Since January and February are primo "Birders" months, and Morro Bay now has an ongoing Birders Festival each year, this was a perfect match. We enjoyed the display and the ceramics and jewelry that the upstairs had. We will return to more shows in this gallery.
