Surprisingly, there was just one cheerful woman behind the counter (Paula Radke) who greeted us and immediately shared that she was both the owner and the artist. Her passion and personality seemed to radiate in the pieces of jewelry. We got to make our pick out our own stones and glass and she put them together in earrings and necklaces. There were also picture frames with glass pieces and other small pieces that decorated her shop. What was most impressive was the way she so quickly shared her experience of moving from one location to another and how fortunate she was to have this new shop in Morrow Bay. The four of us enjoyed her stories as much as we enjoyed her art.

We were drawn into the shop by some of the vegan leather purses that were displayed in the window. They were so cute that we had to get them for future Christmas presents. We visited with a very personable Paula and looked at her beautiful glass, including vase,s bowls, a mirror, and a wonderful hand blown lamp . It's exciting to see this kind of beautiful work on the Central Coast and inspirational for all the bead crafters out there. Her individual beads would make a stunning necklace, and the small beads would make beautiful bracelets. Her shop is definitely worth a visit if you're in Morro Bay!

You can find any shell you want to use for making crafts or any large beautiful shell you want simply to display in your home. The store is located on the Embarcadero in Morro Bay and it does have 30 minute free parking, which is important because the parking on the Embarcadero is always full. I'm sure they would let you run over the 30 minutes if you were shopping in the store. The store is always busy with lots of tourists choosing things to take home as genuine souvenirs. Some of the real beauties are the frames and little animals that they make out of shells as well as the ships made out of shells. I got a lot of scallop shells to use to make craft items with, ranging color from pale white to a beautiful coral in natural colorations. It's a fun place to come visit and simply look at the multitude of shells, or stock up on all reasonably priced shells.

I learned so much in two hours that I'm sure would have taken weeks over YouTube if I were to learn on my own. I just finished my second class and now I'm hooked. I love this community shop which feels like family and home. I went in to ask a question about a tricky section I was working on, and they happily and patiently assisted me through it. I really enjoyed walking around the store called Dress Your Soul, which reminded me of a store that…read moreused to be here about 10 years ago, but left the area called Southport Traders They have interesting things from all over the world, including clothing from India, quartz and special scented candles, as well as crystals I liked some of the sweaters and sweatshirts and felt they were totally appropriate to wear in Morro Bay, which is by the sea where it gets a little chilly, They also had a life-size statue of La Katrina and her partner. The woman working there even offered to take our picture with them, so it's a great place for selfies or photos. I sometimes forget about the unique shopping opportunities in Morro Bay, but I'll be sure to return to Marina Square to check out this store for gifts!
