The food was great! We always come here for a late night dinner if we're feeling to eat something of Asian cuisine. A lot of Asian restaurants are closed early but I'm glad this one opens until 4 am! We got the Yellow Curry, Spicy Fried Rice, Tom Yum Soup and our appetizers: Spicy Chicken Wings and Fried Tofu. Everything tasted delicious.

this is our late night after a night of dancing and drinking spot because of their late night hours! the food always hits and its kinda fun to see the strangers you were dancing with 10 minutes ago walk in and eat with you!

Ordered on Uber Eats and... how can I say this? I'm white and could have made better, fresher Thai food. Pad Thai was essentially only noodles. Where's the chicken, bean sprouts, peanut? Spring rolls were frozen store bought. Soup and curry bland AF. The the soup wasn't even cooked. The potato and other vegetables in the curry were completely raw. Wow. Clear that whoever runs this place has no understanding of food. Order screams: Doesn't give AF

Tom Yum Soup

ordered tofu tom yum via doordash -- food was prepared and delivered promptly. i will say though, i wish the broth was less sweet and was sad to see i only got 1 tomato wedge. for the price point , i had hoped for something with more flavor. perhaps dining in would yield a different experience, so ill check it out anyways if im in the area

I did not know about this spot until I began doing delivery driving and then I discovered this is here, that they would always have my orders accurate and fast plus that they seemed pretty empty yet open till 4am! My friend I go out with more is a vegan so I love going to places where we both have a lot to chose from. We were both excited. At first I thought the guy behind the counter was abrupt but I suspect he is just resting angry face since he even said goodbye specifically to us when he was leaving after he was off and another person clearly was taking over for the later shift. He was super helpful though answering our many questions since nether of us had been there before. We ordered way too much food knowing we were going to be swimming in leftovers so we ordered good items for that. They have a specials board so I ordered heir orange chicken from that as I did not see it on the menu. I am super picky and this was some of the best orange chicken I have had. Their coating is so good and unique - perfectly crispy... And then the sauce is that perfect not syrup yet also not an assault on you with citrus like some are. I was amazed! I also got the shrimp salad rolls and their chicken satay. It was all delicious with gloriously tasty peanut sauce. And I had crazy leftovers I am still working through. I do have to also say that their prices are great too! Their location is excellent and I have not ever had an issue grabbing parking though I also have not been there during what could be an issue. Revolution Hall is directly next door and I feel that could be a challenge or parking BUT they are easy enough to get through food delivery or even just order and pick up!

You have to love that Sunee is open very late. Service you receive depends on who is working, but it's friendly enough for late night. There is always plenty of people picking up take out and patrons eating in. The decor is pretty with many traditional items. The food, decent and tasty. I always find Thai food on the more expensive side especially for vegan. The pad kee mao is good and tofu is cooked well.

Enjoyed the Spicy Chicken Wings, Pad Ga Prow stir fry with beef, with a Singha beer! Highly recommended! Wonderful location, across the street from a great microbrewery & Gastropub Grand Fir Brewing as well as Revolution Hall!

On the corner of Stark and 14th, Sunee Thai offers both Thai and Lao dishes. I got takeout recently and enjoyed the meal. We got noodles and a curry. Most items can be made vegetarian. They ask how spicy you want the dish on a scale of 1-5. I don't remember what I chose but I do remember thinking it wasn't as spicy as I'd like. So maybe add 1-2 on top of your initial thought. Staff was friendly during our brief interaction. The restaurant was empty since I arrived at the start of dinner service, but the atmosphere was pleasant. Looks like they have late hours, which we all know is rare in Portland! If you've got the late night munchies, this could be a great option.

Yummy! Great service and love how close it is to Revolution Hall. I would definitely eat here again! The Pad See Ew was especially good.

At 2am this is 5-star Thai red curry. At lunch or dinnertime it's 3-star Thai red curry.

The pad Thai was all noodles. In all less than half an egg and part of a chicken wing. The rest was noodles.

Easily the best Thai BBQ I've had! Each part of the meal pairs perfectly well with each other and…read moreis packed with immense flavor. Khao Moo Dang Pi-Set (5/5): Upgrading to the Pi-Set is worth the extra $3, which comes with all the standard options plus extra eggs, juicy dumplings, tender yu choy, and a side of bone broth. The five-spice pork is super tender and tastes very similar to char siu. The pork belly had a great crunch and was perfectly salty, which contrasted well with the sweet Chinese sausage. The dumplings are really juicy and justify the upgrade on its own, in addition to complementing the side of bone broth. Everything ties together when coated in their signature Khao Moo Dang sauce, which rounds out the rich meats with the perfect amount of sweetness. Logistics Tip: Takeout packaging holds up well, keeping the crispy pork belly from getting soggy on the ride home while ensuring the broth stays piping hot. Upgrading to the Pi-Set version further improves an already generous meal into an expansive dish that can easily satisfy a huge appetite.

Been here twice on my past two trips to Portland …read more. The food is pretty darn good -- and pricing is also pretty fair for what it is. However, -2 stars for the last time I was there .. I was with my brother, and he had tipped them well. It was later in the evening and people were hawking our table .. and we weren't aware it was "bus" your town table, felt the need to give up our table quickly and we were already on the street and a male waiter literally ran after us to let us know where we could put our dishes? .. Ok, bro, I get it but was that necessary? Why do you guys want to be tipped 25% and when someone makes a mistake, you run after them to tell them to bus their own table? Wasn't that MORE effort than just doing it yourself and saving your PAYING customers from embarassment? Not sure if I would come back and dine-in again .. Pretty turned off and taken aback. Take-out is definitely on the table but please give your paying customers a break and some empathy.

One, two, three , four. Oh, no exercise here, except to eat!…read more Ever since discovering Chongqing food in Prague, I've been on the hunt for similar food, esp., the fresh noodles with minced pork. Enter Stretch the Noodle! It's a small unassuming food cart with Sichuan based dishes and their dan dan noodles with pork was a close match but still delicious. It's mildly hot (can't take the heat). The mid beer garden is a nice set up-a main tent with picnic style benches and small food businesses on either side.

As their name denotes, their noodles are hand-pulled. While their menu is limited, this just means that they can focus their efforts on creating quality dishes. For only $14, the beef noodle soup is quite reasonably priced, and actually a full meal. I've had an experience with a food cart in the past where the portion size did not reflect the price point, but not here. The beef noodle soup here is on par at what you'd get at a sit-down restaurant. It's packed with tender beef, plenty of noodles, veggies, and a piping hot broth. Chili oil was unnecessary, as it already came with some on top. The broth itself was clear, yet still had the correct spices that beef noodle soup is known for. This food cart was pretty popular. Other patrons were ordering some of the dry noodle dishes such as the noodle salad or dan dan noodles. Everything from their kitchen looked so good, but as a soup kinda gal, I'm glad I ultimately went with the beef noodle soup. While I cannot speak for the flavor profiles of the other dishes Stretch the Noodle has to offer, from my experience enjoying the beef noodle soup, it's safe to say that I was very happy with my lunch and would love to return to this food cart the next time we visit PDX. Additionally, as I try to be eco-conscious, my food was served in a reusable container, which I saved after devouring my meal and washed instead of throwing it out.

Since we had our dog with us, we ordered everything to go and enjoyed it back at our hotel just down the street. Just a heads up if you're planning the same, there wasn't any outdoor dining available. Being from the SF Bay Area, one of the first things we looked for was Har Gow and Siu Mai, but they weren't labeled the way we're used to. After asking, we found out the Crystal Shrimp Dumplings are their Har Gow, and the Shrimp Siu Mai contains pork, which was exactly what we were looking for. We ordered two of each. We also ordered two Beef Chow Fun, Combination Fried Rice, Eggplant with Minced Pork, Sweet & Sour Spare Ribs, and three pear sodas. The dim sum absolutely hit the spot. The Har Gow and Siu Mai were well seasoned, nicely prepared, and exactly what we had been craving. The Beef Chow Fun was another winner. We were glad we ordered two because we found ourselves reaching for it more than the fried rice. The Eggplant with Minced Pork was also delicious. The eggplant was cooked perfectly -- tender without becoming mushy -- and the seasoning was right on point. I'm also glad we changed our order from the House Special Spare Ribs to the Sweet & Sour Spare Ribs. Unlike many versions, these weren't battered and fried, so the pork maintained a great texture while still being coated in a flavorful sweet and sour sauce. One unexpected favorite was the pear soda. It's made with Asian pear, so the flavor is much lighter and more refreshing than the sweeter pear sodas we're used to. The only hiccup? They're bottled with a traditional cap, and since we were staying in a hotel, we quickly realized we didn't have a bottle opener. Let's just say we got a little creative. One thing I really appreciated was that the staff noticed our large takeout order and packed it thoughtfully. They included six extra takeout containers, plenty of forks, chopsticks, and napkins, which ended up being incredibly helpful since we were eating in a hotel room with no paper plates or utensils. It's a small gesture, but one that definitely didn't go unnoticed. Overall, we were really happy with our meal. This place lived up to being on my bookmark list for over a year, and I'd happily come back the next time we're staying in downtown Portland.
