Got the only curry that can be made vegan Yellow Curry. I asked no potatoes and got it with tofu and vegetables. It was an up charge of $2 for the added vegetables. I also got tofu fresh rolls. The food was just ok. I asked for hot and the curry had zero spice. The portion was just ok. But i will say the curry was better then some other curries I've had... I mean it was sweet but not nearly as sweet as some other Thai places make them. But what came to bite me later that night was; a splitting headache and dry mouth. This only comes from msg. The fresh tofu rolls were made up of just lettuce and tofu. So not a memorable meal. It took me most of the morning to get rid of my headache. FYI vegans. After chatting with and asking questions of the owner. the yellow curry and the tofu fresh rolls are the only items on the menu that can be vegan. If you want to eat on site their are several tables to the side of the food cart. The owner was friendly and the food was served quickly. read more

I walked up to the truck like a normal person. I had a $20 bill in my hand and the sun was doing that mid-afternoon thing. There were a few people in line, I remember that too. One of them was wearing a hat I think. I remember the hat. Then I took a bite. And I swear--I swear--something split. Not like in my mouth. I mean something fundamental. The texture, the heat, the balance--it was like it bypassed digestion entirely and went straight into my understanding of the world. It didn't taste like food. It tasted like information. I don't remember sitting down, but I was sitting. Concrete under me. Sauce on my fingers. Time got slippery. I looked at the trees and they were breathing. I mean--they are, technically, I know that, but I could see it. Carbon dioxide, transpiration, chlorophyll--it was all just numbers clicking into place. I quickly scribbled something on my arm using a sharpie: ·E = / ×B - E/t = J I don't even know what that means. I think I used to. I don't know where I learned it. I don't know where I learned anything. But it made sense, in that moment. Everything did. I called my brother and told him the boundary between particles and waves is a lie. I don't have a brother. The woman in the truck smiled at me like she understood. I asked her for water and she handed me an iced Thai Coffee and said, "That's the one that works." I don't know what she meant. I drank it. She was right. I walked home in silence. The equations are still coming, but slower now. I think the effect is wearing off. I think I want it back. Five stars. read more

I ordered the drunken noodles and the red curry and both were a very big disappointment. The drunken noodles were sweet which I found odd. The flavor was like very strong hoisin sauce. just poured on noodles and then stirred around for a few minutes. It wasn't a bad flavor, but it definitely wasn't what traditional drunken noodles are supposed to taste like. What was really unpleasant though was the red curry it literally tasted like 1/4 cup of water had been poured on top of the curry. I've never had curry that tasted like this. It had no depth of flavor at all. I didn't even end up eating it and threw it away. After reading the reviews, I was really excited to try this place, but will not be coming back. One thing I can't say, though is the portions are very big. read more

One of the best spots in the neighborhood. The food is absolutely delicious with generous portions, the person who runs the cart is so patient and kind, and the prices are very reasonable. You may need to wait 15 min or so if they're busy, but it's worth the wait every time. read more

I ordered Pad See Ew with tofu and medium spice and while the dish tastes yummy, the amount of oil makes it almost inedible. Oil was dripping out of the bag and soaked through the takeout box. They also missed the medium spice for the dish. I will not be returning. read more

This is such a delicious Thai food cart! It's a small little cart that's tucked on MLK. It's near my boyfriend's place & we love to order her food! The owner is super sweet & she is definitely a hard worker. She works alone a lot of the times! You can tell she makes her food with love. My favorite dish is the chicken pad see ew . I haven't yet expanded my dishes too much with her menu but I plan to try some others. My boyfriend's favorite is the basil fried rice. Best Thai in Portland. Get the drunken noodles or the pad Thai. I could eat here ever single week. It's a food truck, so know you won't be eating there most likely. Portions are satisfying. Employees are nice. When my mom was in town, they were closed for some stuff going on. I checked daily as they kept pushing back when they were opening. Thank GOODNESS they opened the day she left, so we doordashed food the moment they opened (we had to pack and fly out!) My mom said it may have been her favorite meal on the visit! We got to Portland late and wanted some Thai food. A quick search found that we were relatively close to Thai MLK so we ordered takeout and got there to see its basically a slightly larger version of a food truck. However, the food was absolutely stellar. We got the wings, shrimp and crab Rangoon appetizers which were all delicious. The pad see ew and pad Thai were both great and even traveled well which is unusual for noodles. The pineapple curry and yellow curry were delicious with just the right amount of spice. The eggplant was fabulous, one of the best dishes, and the mixed veggies were great too. All in all a top notch meal from an unassuming place. Would go back in a heartbeat! read more

Yum!!! First time trying Thai MLK and was extremely pleased. I ordered the Pad See Ew and it was delicious. The flavor is perfect, noodles aren't sticky or dry and veggies are the perfect mix of soft and crunchy. The woman that took my order over the phone and gave me my food when I paid was very friendly attentive- made sure I got utensils and napkins with my order. Just a little food truck next to a vacant lot, so at first we weren't even sure it was open. But we're so glad we went! These chicks know how to cook. We got their papaya salad, it's was exactly how a papaya salad should be. The crab puffs were amazing, and their pad thai was perfectly spicy.
