We have had the BEST experience with this company. We first got an appointment for them to install a house fan to use when we want the cooler air from the outside to come inside the house, if the inside is hotter than the outside. Ralph and his coworker installed it quickly and showed me instructions on how to use it. A few weeks later, we get an appointment for installing a new HVAC unit. Ours was super old and used so much energy that our PGE bill doubled from one month to the next! I can't share any details with how much the new bill will be yet but I am very hopeful about this one. Ralph, again, came to install quickly, and show me instructions on how to use the device. The new A/C is currently on and I can already tell the difference! Four male employees of this company came into my apartment today and one of them took my AirPods in their case from my kitchen table where I had placed them! My table was clean and clutter free and I know exactly where I placed them. They were using my kitchen table to put their bag of tools, so soon as the four males were done and left my apartment I went to finish cleaning up the mess they left and that's when I realized my AirPods were missing. I immediately called the supervisor and he spoke with them and they insisted none of them took my AirPods and that they didn't even see them on the kitchen table. I don't know which one of the four men took them, however I would like to advise anyone who hires this company to do any job for them, personally or for their business, to be aware of the type of people that are entering your property. read more

Mr. Vang from Sundowner came to me, the owner of a small apartment building, asking for permission to help one of my tenants make his apartment more energy efficient. Sounded ok to me. He then asked if he could do all of the tenants in the 7 unit complex. He said it wouldn't cost me anything, and it wouldn't cost my tenants. He represented that he was contracted with PG&E to perform this work and that PG&E was paying him. And that also sounded ok to me, so I agreed to have him do all of the apartment units. I informed my tenants that he would be providing this service. He then proceeded to go door to door and asked my tenants, all senior citizens and veterans, for their financial information and bank statements. Mr. Veng said that I told him to do so and that he was hired by PG&E. They called PG&E and were told by PG&E that they had nothing to do with Sundowner and didn't know who this guy was. Now let me be clear, this is not an indictment of bad service or faulty delivery of a product. I have no idea if they are good or not at what they do. But going around to a bunch of senior citizens, or anyone for that matter, and knocking on their door asking for financial information must have rocks in their head. This sounds like a scam to me and it sounded the same way to my tenants. I think anyone that may be looking to have a reduced price service for home energy efficiency performed, should contact their utility company directly to avoid people like this. read more

This company and their PG&E partnership are great! Jose was my Rep who convienced me to save on my Energy bill. Steve was my installer at my Nipom condo to make my home energy efficiant. They were both very professional and Steve even advised me that I had a un-tapped gas line! Great Company & good job fellas! I am thrilled I qualify for a new Evergy efficiant Fridge!!!! read more

These guys are amazing. If I did not agree to have my house be energy efficient by this company who knows how long I would have lived here with a gas leak in my garage! We are thoroughly delighted. We first met thw Sundowner rep. at the March home show. From our initial meeting through the completion of the job everyone was a professional. The rep. was clear and patient in his explanation, the work was efficient, the workers clean and answered each question I posed, and as a courtesy the insulation plugs were painted over if we provided the paint. Easily done. Thus it doesnt look like we had insulation plugs in the wall. The results? The following week when the temperature rose to 106 our home was a cool 75, whereas in the past we could never get it below 85 and that was running the AC 24/7. I would recommend Sundowner to anyone.
