Let me start off by saying I don't have a real sweet tooth. But I have a 2 yr old, newborn, and a wife that beg to differ. This might be my first 5 star ice cream parlor. Two easy reasons why: 1. The ice cream is ridiculously good. I got the monkey Paw(includes, Carmel, peanut butter, chocolate chunks) and it was soooo good. Little one had the birthday cake and went nuts enjoying it. I tried it and also thought it was sweet deliciousness. 2. Had a chance to meet the owner Debbie and she was just the nicest person ever. Such a welcoming person to a newbie in the area and that alone makes me excited to continue to bring the family for some seriously good ice cream flavors. Tons of flavors! Stopped by on our way home. Place looks so cute and colorful. Perfect ice cream parlour decor. The sign had many flavors choices and even more toppings!! The 2 ladies serving the ice cream were so friendly, exactly what you want when getting a sweet treat. Unfortunately the ice cream was lackluster. I thought I was having Breyers. Very watered down and icy. The toppings also seemed stale. I wanted to love it but left disappointed. After I left, I realized there was a creamery down the road. Hoarder house??? I took my girls over and saw what looked to be an ice cream shop from the outside but when we walked up to the door, it looked like a hoarders house inside. Racks of clothes, junk pulled high. There was no inside services. Sign said go to window and ring the bell. When I looked in the side window it was all junk and we just decided if they actually do serve ice cream here, we are avoiding botulism. Definitely won't return. read more

We drove in from Texas and stopped here to meet up with some family . We called and asked if they had outdoor space for 7 adults and 14 kids. They said they would a couple of more tables outside. We got there, it was such a cute and colorful place, with a candy land boutique feel. The staff was so patient, professional, and all wearing masks while serving us. Their kid scoops were actually big and the ice cream was delicious. We stayed outside for over an hour, and really enjoyed every minute of it. We dealt with Kaity who was super nice and offered to take a group picture for us. We would definitely come back, they also offer catering for those of you who need one for your next event. Sunday's is a brightly painted ice cream parlor/sandwich shop that sits on northbound Rt. 206 in Bordentown, NJ. On a hot late September afternoon it seemed to call me as I drove back to the office after a late lunch nearby. Inside it felt like I was in Candyland. So many pastels that it slightly distorted reality, much like being in an arcade in a carnival. I did not see anyone at first which added to the sensation, but I soon heard a female voice toward the back of the shop telling me she would be 'right with you, honey.' This gave me a moment to bend closer to the ice cream display under the glass of their refrigeration units. More color literally melting into each other. When the owner/manager arrived she was friendly and solicitous. I asked if the ice cream was made by them, and learned that it was produced by Richman's Dairy. There was also a premium label that was gluten free. I asked for a small cup of Pumpkin and Peanut Butter Ripple which came in under $5. They weren't big scoops, but certainly enough for a pleasant afternoon delight. The taste was pretty much middle of the road. The Peanut Butter was somewhat creamy with amply streaks of peanut butter mixed into the vanilla. I liked it. The Pumpkin was a bit too cold and had the texture of tiny pumpkin flavored ice crystals. It clearly needed more defrost time from whatever deep freeze it has been in before going into the display. The flavor was there, but the creaminess had not returned. I guess I was a few hours too early. Sunday's is a pleasant place, and kids must certainly love all the colors. Lunch is also prepared there, as is soft serve ice cream in summer. Way Overpriced & My Ice Cream was Old! I went there for the first time tonight with my boyfriend. He got a large cup of coffee ice cream which was good. I ordered a sugar cone of Double Chocolate Almond flavored ice cream and it tasted like freezer burn. The tub was probably sitting in there since last summer. I threw the cone out the window on the way home. It wasn't worth the calories. Hopefully some hungry birds ate it. Lol. The price was ridiculous too! $8.50 for a cup and a cone?! We could have bought 2 half gallons for that price. I will never return. read more

Sunday's is one of the best ice cream stores I have ever been to. I always feel bright and cheery when I go there because of the funky decor that Debbie has used! Every time I go I love that she has something new whether it be fruit smoothies, new sundaes, or better yet new merchandise to buy!! She always has the cutest little gifts that I can pick up on a whim for a birthday present or whatever I might need! You definitely need to go!!! read more

Ice cream for breakfast? Sure, why not. It was the small size, and I do mean small. As the only customer here at 11 am(they open at 10) I think they could have at least filled up the small cup. Two flavors were sampled, chocolate which was indistinguishable from Breyer's and a salted pretzel caramel that was slightly better. I asked who makes the ice cream and the person at the counter did not know. That pretty much sums up the place. This business does food catering and they probably use this location to prepare the food. I would only recommend it if you are unfamiliar with the area and are driving by before noon. I'd like to start by saying I am a huge "desert person" and I consider myself an Ice Cream Connoisseur. I adore every thing about Sunday's. If I didn't have such a strict diet I'd eat here every day and never get tired of it. Going here is a great experience from start to finish. From the moment you pull up in the parking lot, you're greeted with an adorable storefront. When you walk inside the atmosphere is like a vintage candy shop. It's so bright and cheery inside the building. All the ice cream is delicious, clearly very fresh, there's a wide variety of toppings and generous portions. If you're looking to stop for dessert on a date or to grab something sweet at an "aesthetic" location with a friend, Sunday's has a lovely atmosphere. I'd recommend this place any day!! read more

I wanted to like this place, I really did. The exterior was adorable and inviting from the highway. Unfortunately I was disappointed by flavor and price. I ordered a small vanilla soft serve with sprinkles. The service was fast and friendly (giving an extra star). However, the cup was $5, which was surprising. This is Bordentown, not Manhattan. I was hoping to justify with the taste but unfortunately the soft serve was not creamy at all but rather gritty. read more

Sunday's ice cream is AMAZING. It's super creamy and fresh, I think it's homemade. They have a long list of unique flavors, my favorite flavor is Magical Unicorn, which is birthday cake flavor with sprinkles and purple frosting mixed in. The workers are also very nice! Very nice place with decent ice cream. They sell quite a bit of "other merchandise" in the store which kind of detracts from the ice cream side of going here, but with other choices relatively nearby they need to make money somehow. Okay at best. Very poor customer service. Coming from a customer service industry, this is an important part of the experience for me. The employee was miserable, unhelpful and simply did not want to be there. I do like the ice cream and continue to come back but this will be my last time. The hard ice creams were ok, but the softserve, I guess it's frozen yogut, tasted smoky or like plastic, or burnt. My grandaughter mentioned that she hated to say it, but the vanilla softserve was very bad., she was right. I definately won't be going there again read more

For two small scoops of ice cream, one was already melting, I paid $4. The cup wasn't even full with the scoops piled on top of each other. I can do better at just about any boardwalk! And they don't even make it in house. Go try Ice Cream on 9 in Howell, NJ. Everything is made in house and is incredibly fantastic and a good value. Well worth a stop on the way home from the shore as it is just North of 195 by about a mile including the jughandle u_turn you have to take. read more

I always loved coming to this place as a kid growing up in bordentown. The products they offer are fantastic, although lately, my wife and I have gone in there the past few times between 8 and 10 pm and were extremely disappointed. As soon as you walk into the business you automatically get a feeling of not being wanted there, mainly because of the teenagers working there thinking it is some sort of a hangout place where they do nothing but socialize and solicit. On this specific day, September 21, 2014, my wife and I walk in at about 830 pm and experienced the already mentioned above. Additionally, we greet the group of teenagers sitting at the table when you walk in and did not receive a greeting back, instead we felt like we were being judged. So we ignore the ignorant teenagers and proceed to the counter to see what ice cream we wanted. We were standing around with no sense of customer service for what felt like 5 minutes. Finally, a snotty nosed teenager came to give us service. In disbelief, the teenager that assisted us was one of the teenagers that ignored us when we first walked into the store. Right then and there I was about ready to walk out the door. The only thing that kept me there was the fact that I really like the product and I have not had it in 6 years since I just returned from the service a month ago. It is really a shame to see this happen because the owners are probably not aware of how much these employees are hurting their business. I am very very close to not coming back to this business anymore. I will still make it a point for me to go speak with the owner personally because these disrespectful kids should not have the privilege of representing a great company and defacing the image of this business.
