Cold Stone tastes good like a cigarette should! Wait... wrong product. Strip away the kitsch, cold stone prep and you have great ice cream with an infinite choice of toppings. You'll cool your heels waiting but the final product is well worth it. Personally I prefer the soft-serve at Dairy Queen for a frozen jolt of nostalgia but Cold Stone.is a worthy alternative. Let me first state that Coldstone is my favorite ice cream store and I have been buying ice cream at this location (and other locations) since the chain came to our area. I've always enjoyed great customer service and never made a complaint about any products at ANY location...until now. This weekend, I ordered the Chocolate Devotion with Silk Almond Milk icecream from the East Windsor location, Saturday evening. When I took my first bite, the chocolate chips were so hard and old, I nearly cracked my tooth! Since this is my usual order at Coldstone, I knew this wasn't the usual way it tasted. I went back inside the store and stood in line for 15 minutes to ask if they could replace it with a different order because the chips were stale. The young lady behind the counter said,''We haven't had anyone else complain. That's just how we make it. We can't make you another order.'' When I asked to speak to a manager, she said,''There is no manager here. Do you want me to call the corporate office? You'll be waiting a long time.'' I repeated that I would just like something different, not a refund. She shrugged her shoulders and said,''Well, I don't know what you want me to do. We don't really do that here.'' Rather than make a scene, I informed her I would be making a complaint to their corporate office and she once again shrugged and said,''Okay.'' As I stated previously, my family loves Coldstone. With so many locations closing, I would assume the remaining stores HOPE to stay in business. Hey OWNERS- if you're reading this: Serving stale food and having a cavalier attitude about it is a sure way to shut yourselves DOWN. Judging by the comments here, you'd deserve it. read more

Awful. Paid $40 for a custom cake and they left off half my daughters name. It looks like a toddler wrote it. read more

Cold Stone Creamery - a frosted cake - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - East Windsor, New Jersey

We purchased a large ice cream cake for a birthday party on Saturday. The cake was gorgeous! The detail that the decorator put into this cake is amazing, when you consider they were working with ice cream! The taste???? Pure perfection. The guests went crazy over the cake, everyone asking where we got it. Way to go Cold Stone! Sorry I didn't get a better picture of the cake, but it still looks luscious here (and it was!!!) Thank you Cold Stone! You made a beautiful cake! Everyone enjoyed it and the price is right! read more

Great ice cream. HORRIBLE service. Messed up my wife's birthday cake, blamed me somehow even though it had specifically spoken to an employee about it when placing the order. This happens every single year. (I keep coming back because it's what my wife likes but it's just infuriating). And the "manager" can't help, needs to talk to the owner. So I'm cakeless. TLDR: don't order from here if you want what you pay for read more

This place isn't even clean. Pricing is missing from the walls and never replaced. A worker was making a cake and I asked for sweet cream and they started using the melted icecream the worker had been using on the counter to make the cake. I asked if they had another pan in the back since it was melted. She goes in the back and get it's and when she brings it to the register she Just put the first one she mixed on top of the icecream from the back. So it was already melted before I even left the store. Lazy. She could have at least mixed it together. It's expensive icecream. Not worth it. 12$ for two ice teams. Rather go to Dairy Queen down the road. The icecream display was empty and some icecreams were melted in the display. Avoid this place. The one star reviews are spot on. read more

Terrible attitude and customer service towards paying customer. Drove out of my way to find this place NEVER AGAiN! Just read other reviews and definitely feel validated. I hope they go out of business soon. read more

This place is one of the worse customer services I have ever had. They are also never open on the time stated o. Door.

AWFUL. We ordered a cake ahead of time for a graduation. After spending 45 minutes in the store waiting, the girls seemed to be surprised in the back. They took a picture of the cake and then sent it to the manager and didn't show us until 5 minutes later. The cake was absolutely smashed in the front. They then put us on the phone with the manager Nirav and he was inconsiderate, rude and lacked a sense of direction. Even though he was giving us a refund, he refused to give us a cake that we were waiting an hour for. After this, we went to Dairy Queen and they greeted us with a smile and we paid for a cake and brought it to the party. Don't EVER get a custom cake from here. read more

A Horrible Ice cream franchisee!! How hard can it be to serve icecream with a smile? We went there with family for icecream. The manager of the store Vishnu was horrible. He gave us a small portion than usual. He first refused to accept the promotion run by company and then started lecturing how he is doing us a favor by accepting a company run promotion. Please stay away! read more

Wish I had checked yelp to see all the negative reviews. Went with family to this location. The server Vishnu was horrible. He was extremely rude in his conduct and was almost yelling when we said that we wanted to apply a promotion. It's a company run promotion that is valid and should get automatically taken off when scanned. Not a place to bring family and kids. Stay away. read more

GO TO A DIFFERENT COLD STONE!!! BEWARE OF NASTY OWNER that couldn't careless of mistakes. We ordered a cake with sprinkles, Oreo cookie and chocolate chips inside as add-ins. The cookies, and chocolate chips were missing, and only a small portion of the cake had sprinkles. Owner never called back and we were forced to go there 3 times and we had the employees call him directly. He was disgusting and didn't care that my 5 year old son was upset about his cake on his birthday! How does Cold Stone allow this franchisee to get away with this!?!?? Read the other reviews!! Decided to stop by while we were up here for ice cream. Had already placed an online order and even waited a few extra minutes in the car while we got there just to make sure it was done. Went inside and they hadn't even started it yet, 20+ minutes after it was placed. So we waited inside which was okay, but it didn't help that the employees kept staring at us like we had two heads for some reason. It was uncomfortable, they just kept... staring. No joke. The floor is covered in brown juice and the employees are rude. Got our icecream, great, except that the lids weren't even on and some spilled out. Half melted at top even though we had JUST left the store. Never again, Holmdel is better if you live over there. read more

We get Cold Stone pretty frequently and the ice cream is always good but this location lacks consistency. Sizing is usually a bit smaller than other locations and a few times I have gone within business hours for them to be closed. The last time I went around 12:45pm when they should have opened at 12:30 and there was a lock box on the door and nobody inside. A few girls came to the door after I went back to my car and were also disappointed. I left around 1pm and have not gone back since due to the uncertainty of even being able to purchase something. Unfortunately, as good as the ice cream is I can't recommend going out of your way to visit this particular location. read more

Cold stone is a decent ice cream place. They mix all the nice toppings together which does make it very good but this location has fallen short from the normal greatness you pay and expectt for at cold stone. I showed up an hour before closing and the employees were nothing but rude. It seemed like they wanted to close early so as a result were super rushing me to order. When I finally did order they made the wrong thing! When I tried to explain to the lady that I did not orderr coffee ice cream in my order she wouldnt have any of it. As a result I left unhappy with the wrong ice cream and was out the cost of it. Would not recommend read more

I've stopped going to this Cold Stone months ago. The last few times I went prior, there was always one or two things wrong with my order. And each time I went I noticed how unclean this location had become, each time becoming worse than the previous visit. I wish there was another Cold Stone nearby or that this one got cleaned up. Instead, I go to Dairy Queen around the corner on Route 130 or I'll drive to Carvel in Hamilton even though I live 3 minutes from this location. I'm never handed my ice cream with chocolate syrup, ice cream and who knows what else on the sides of the containers when I go to those other places. read more

Open until 9 but if you get there at 8:59 even though the door is unlocked, someone just left with their ice cream and there are 3 people working you are happily told they are closed but open at noon tomorrow. Excellent customer service, not, young lady!! read more

THIS IS THE WORST COLDSTONE EVER! I have never had worse service at an ice cream place or even a store in general! I ordered sprinkles for an extra cost and I literally received 5 sprinkles on my ice cream! The floors and whole store was very dirty and unkept. Both employees were very rude and the time before this when I tried to come to the store around 8:45 and they refused me service even though they close at 9:00. I would only come here if you want your day to be ruined, but if not go to other and more reliable coldstone locations!!! read more

We went to cold Stone Creamery today only because my daughter was craving cotton candy flavored ice cream and I immediately regret coming here. The place is filthy, they ran out of certain flavors and cones. What ice cream joint runs out of cones? The manager was also engaged in passive aggressive arguments with his staff which made it even more uncomfortable. I am praying to heaven above I do not get a food borne illness from my only and final visit today. read more

I want so badly to love this place, but it isn't even ok. I feel like the kids behind the counter may need better training, or more supervision. I went there the day before yesterday, and as soon as I walked in, I was assaulted with the smell of burning waffle cone. Not the aroma you expect when you're walking into a Cold Stone. But, gradually that dissipated, or maybe I just got used to it. There was a long line. It went quicker than I anticipated... then I found out why. I returned home, eager to eat my expertly crafted cold stone ice cream, and instead found a barely mixed batch of ice cream, with whole pieces of rock hard, frozen candy bar that will crack your teeth if you're not a professional. Luckily, I am... so, I got out of that unscathed. Be warned. The place would no doubt be hopping, non-stop, if they just step it up to average. They don't even need to be fabulous. Build even an average CSC, and they will come! read more

This place is terrible. They have teenagers who can barely count to ten working at this establishment. My first time here, the chick at the counter not only forgot to put my ice cream on the counter when we were leaving (I had to ask for it and she left it on the counter in the back), I said it was "to go" and then had to ask for a bag, and by the time I got home the ice cream had spilled in the bag because this child didn't put the lid on all the way before she packed it. They also NEVER have cones whenever I come here. They always insist that someone is "making them" although my second time here there were barely ten customers. We still come here because the ice cream is good but other than that the service sucks, the place is dirty, and it's a bad reminder of how dumb this generation of teenagers are becoming. read more

Dirty outside tables and does not open on time. Waited 30 min past the posted open time and had to leave without being served. Absolutely ridiculous. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! Long story short: I placed an online order. I called in plenty of time to cancel it. The manager told me they could change the order. Picked up the cake for my daughters bday. She ends up crying cause they lied to me about changing the order. Thanks a lot CSC. You made a little girl cry on her bday. Kudos to you idiots. I hope you go chapter 11 by the years end. Oh yeah, almost forgot, their corporate headquarters doesn't care either. I am going to reverse the credit card charge now. They will never get a dime for me. I should sue them. read more

So two years ago someone reviews this place and said the owner is nasty. Well I'm here to confirm again ..He's in there sometimes taking orders because he can't seem to find enough (low income) workers at this location. He tells workers on the first day that they are replaceable. Someone from the health department needs to come check the cleaning of this place! Go to Dairy Queen ! Save your money ! read more

I ordered a birthday cake online and it was picked up at this store. While I will say, it was delicious, the decorating was horrible. It looked like someone misspelled birthday, scraped off the ganache, and then redid the writing. I was embarrassed to share this with my guests. I wrote to the company but only received a "Sorry" in return. I wish I could post pictures here...you'd understand my disappointment. read more

Lazy and rude staff lock the doors 15 mins before closing time EVEN if you call ahead to confirm they'll be open until their end time as I did. Although service was very friendly, portions were less than stellar to say the least. The large was actually a medium and the medium a small. When addressing the issue was told that the lid would not be able to close completely. Funny, of all the cold stones I've been to in the past three years the lids on all of them have been barely closing! Needless to say this is my last trip to this particular location. Cold Stone Creamery - Not overflowing with goodness! - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - East Windsor, New Jersey

Ordered custom cake with red frosting, and was delivered pink. Contacting the manager, owner will be just a waste of time with no response. Finally got a very rude response from somebody from this franchise suggesting cake shouldn't have picked up. If Coldstone franchise doesn't understand the relevance of the cake on birthday (or any other events) - they shouldn't be in cake business. Filed complaint in head quarters - hoping they care. I suggest don't order custom cakes especially from this location - else be ready for surprise without any choice. If you pick the ready cakes - they are awesome!! read more

Took my kids and their friends to Cold Stone after they went to the Amazing Escape Room. Walked in through a door that was open/unlocked and withno business hours posted on the outside, to be greeted with "We're closed." I felt the need to actually sign up just to write this after seeing how bad the other reviews were. I think people just want something to complain about, or perhaps they had different employees at the time (though I doubt it changed much in only a few months). I went here with 3 other friends and they loaded all of our cups to the top with ice cream and were very friendly as well. Great service, great ice cream. Price is of course high at Cold Stone but that's not a dig at the service or product. read more

I ordered a cake about 6 days prior to needing it. When I picked the cake up it looked like a 5 year old child wrote the words and there were no decorations. The wording was sloppy and crooked and not even centered. They tried to convince me to have the other cake decorator make a new one overnight and I can pick it up the next day. I told the guy I needed it by 9am the next morning and he stated I would have to wait until noon. I asked for my money back and he tried to convince me to pay for 1/2 of the cake and take the cake. Finally he gave me my money back. I wish I could post a picture on this review to show everyone how horrendous it was. The guy told me it was their best decorator.... If that was their best decorator I don't even want to know what their worst one would come up with. read more
