Let me first state that Coldstone is my favorite ice cream store and I have been buying ice cream at this location (and other locations) since the chain came to our area. I've always enjoyed great customer service and never made a complaint about any products at ANY location...until now. This weekend, I ordered the Chocolate Devotion with Silk Almond Milk icecream from the East Windsor location, Saturday evening. When I took my first bite, the chocolate chips were so hard and old, I nearly cracked my tooth! Since this is my usual order at Coldstone, I knew this wasn't the usual way it tasted. I went back inside the store and stood in line for 15 minutes to ask if they could replace it with a different order because the chips were stale. The young lady behind the counter said,''We haven't had anyone else complain. That's just how we make it. We can't make you another order.'' When I asked to speak to a manager, she said,''There is no manager here. Do you want me to call the corporate office? You'll be waiting a long time.'' I repeated that I would just like something different, not a refund. She shrugged her shoulders and said,''Well, I don't know what you want me to do. We don't really do that here.'' Rather than make a scene, I informed her I would be making a complaint to their corporate office and she once again shrugged and said,''Okay.'' As I stated previously, my family loves Coldstone. With so many locations closing, I would assume the remaining stores HOPE to stay in business. Hey OWNERS- if you're reading this: Serving stale food and having a cavalier attitude about it is a sure way to shut yourselves DOWN. Judging by the comments here, you'd deserve it. read more

We purchased a large ice cream cake for a birthday party on Saturday. The cake was gorgeous! The detail that the decorator put into this cake is amazing, when you consider they were working with ice cream! The taste???? Pure perfection. The guests went crazy over the cake, everyone asking where we got it. Way to go Cold Stone! Sorry I didn't get a better picture of the cake, but it still looks luscious here (and it was!!!) This place isn't even clean. Pricing is missing from the walls and never replaced. A worker was making a cake and I asked for sweet cream and they started using the melted icecream the worker had been using on the counter to make the cake. I asked if they had another pan in the back since it was melted. She goes in the back and get it's and when she brings it to the register she Just put the first one she mixed on top of the icecream from the back. So it was already melted before I even left the store. Lazy. She could have at least mixed it together. It's expensive icecream. Not worth it. 12$ for two ice teams. Rather go to Dairy Queen down the road. The icecream display was empty and some icecreams were melted in the display. Avoid this place. The one star reviews are spot on. read more

AWFUL. We ordered a cake ahead of time for a graduation. After spending 45 minutes in the store waiting, the girls seemed to be surprised in the back. They took a picture of the cake and then sent it to the manager and didn't show us until 5 minutes later. The cake was absolutely smashed in the front. They then put us on the phone with the manager Nirav and he was inconsiderate, rude and lacked a sense of direction. Even though he was giving us a refund, he refused to give us a cake that we were waiting an hour for. Decided to stop by while we were up here for ice cream. Had already placed an online order and even waited a few extra minutes in the car while we got there just to make sure it was done. Went inside and they hadn't even started it yet, 20+ minutes after it was placed. So we waited inside which was okay, but it didn't help that the employees kept staring at us like we had two heads for some reason. It was uncomfortable, they just kept... staring. No joke. The floor is covered in brown juice and the employees are rude. Got our icecream, great, except that the lids weren't even on and some spilled out. Half melted at top even though we had JUST left the store. Never again, Holmdel is better if you live over there. read more

We get Cold Stone pretty frequently and the ice cream is always good but this location lacks consistency. Sizing is usually a bit smaller than other locations and a few times I have gone within business hours for them to be closed. The last time I went around 12:45pm when they should have opened at 12:30 and there was a lock box on the door and nobody inside. A few girls came to the door after I went back to my car and were also disappointed. I left around 1pm and have not gone back since due to the uncertainty of even being able to purchase something. Unfortunately, as good as the ice cream is I can't recommend going out of your way to visit this particular location. read more

Cold stone is a decent ice cream place. They mix all the nice toppings together which does make it very good but this location has fallen short from the normal greatness you pay and expectt for at cold stone. I showed up an hour before closing and the employees were nothing but rude. It seemed like they wanted to close early so as a result were super rushing me to order. When I finally did order they made the wrong thing! When I tried to explain to the lady that I did not orderr coffee ice cream in my order she wouldnt have any of it. I've stopped going to this Cold Stone months ago. The last few times I went prior, there was always one or two things wrong with my order. And each time I went I noticed how unclean this location had become, each time becoming worse than the previous visit. I wish there was another Cold Stone nearby or that this one got cleaned up. Instead, I go to Dairy Queen around the corner on Route 130 or I'll drive to Carvel in Hamilton even though I live 3 minutes from this location. I'm never handed my ice cream with chocolate syrup, ice cream and who knows what else on the sides of the containers when I go to those other places. read more

THIS IS THE WORST COLDSTONE EVER! I have never had worse service at an ice cream place or even a store in general! I ordered sprinkles for an extra cost and I literally received 5 sprinkles on my ice cream! The floors and whole store was very dirty and unkept. Both employees were very rude and the time before this when I tried to come to the store around 8:45 and they refused me service even though they close at 9:00. We went to cold Stone Creamery today only because my daughter was craving cotton candy flavored ice cream and I immediately regret coming here. The place is filthy, they ran out of certain flavors and cones. What ice cream joint runs out of cones? The manager was also engaged in passive aggressive arguments with his staff which made it even more uncomfortable. This place is terrible. They have teenagers who can barely count to ten working at this establishment. My first time here, the chick at the counter not only forgot to put my ice cream on the counter when we were leaving (I had to ask for it and she left it on the counter in the back), I said it was "to go" and then had to ask for a bag, and by the time I got home the ice cream had spilled in the bag because this child didn't put the lid on all the way before she packed it. They also NEVER have cones whenever I come here. They always insist that someone is "making them" although my second time here there were barely ten customers. We still come here because the ice cream is good but other than that the service sucks, the place is dirty, and it's a bad reminder of how dumb this generation of teenagers are becoming. read more

I want so badly to love this place, but it isn't even ok. I feel like the kids behind the counter may need better training, or more supervision. I went there the day before yesterday, and as soon as I walked in, I was assaulted with the smell of burning waffle cone. Not the aroma you expect when you're walking into a Cold Stone. But, gradually that dissipated, or maybe I just got used to it. There was a long line. It went quicker than I anticipated... then I found out why. I returned home, eager to eat my expertly crafted cold stone ice cream, and instead found a barely mixed batch of ice cream, with whole pieces of rock hard, frozen candy bar that will crack your teeth if you're not a professional. Luckily, I am... so, I got out of that unscathed. Be warned. The place would no doubt be hopping, non-stop, if they just step it up to average. They don't even need to be fabulous. I ordered a birthday cake online and it was picked up at this store. While I will say, it was delicious, the decorating was horrible. It looked like someone misspelled birthday, scraped off the ganache, and then redid the writing. I was embarrassed to share this with my guests. Lazy and rude staff lock the doors 15 mins before closing time EVEN if you call ahead to confirm they'll be open until their end time as I did. They rolled their eyes when I tried to open the door and and made faces indicating that they were closed. Well I'm here to confirm again ..He's in there sometimes taking orders because he can't seem to find enough (low income) workers at this location. The signature creations are otherworldly. You'll pay a little more for your ice cream, but you won't be complaining.

Although service was very friendly, portions were less than stellar to say the least. The large was actually a medium and the medium a small. When addressing the issue was told that the lid would not be able to close completely. Funny, of all the cold stones I've been to in the past three years the lids on all of them have been barely closing! Needless to say this is my last trip to this particular location. If Coldstone franchise doesn't understand the relevance of the cake on birthday (or any other events) - they shouldn't be in cake business. Filed complaint in head quarters - hoping they care. Took my kids and their friends to Cold Stone after they went to the Amazing Escape Room. Walked in through a door that was open/unlocked and withno business hours posted on the outside, to be greeted with "We're closed." No apologies, just, "We're closed" - and another group of five came in just after us. My daughter loves the sweet cream ice cream, but I am going to find somewhere else. read more

I ordered a cake about 6 days prior to needing it. When I picked the cake up it looked like a 5 year old child wrote the words and there were no decorations. The wording was sloppy and crooked and not even centered. They tried to convince me to have the other cake decorator make a new one overnight and I can pick it up the next day. I told the guy I needed it by 9am the next morning and he stated I would have to wait until noon. I asked for my money back and he tried to convince me to pay for 1/2 of the cake and take the cake. Finally he gave me my money back. I wish I could post a picture on this review to show everyone how horrendous it was. The guy told me it was their best decorator....
