Kailynn was a great server! She made great recommendations. I enjoyed the crawfish soup. Our salads were a nice portion but not a fan of iceberg lettuce. My family had the seafood gumbo and thought it was too tomato-soup like. They agreed they should have listened to Kaitlynn's crawfish recommendation. The panini and fries were good. Beers were a pretty good price. We sat on the patio, which was nice, although workers were working on the deck, so that was a little distracting, and could get loud at times with the hammering. But it was our choice to sit out there. It will be nice when the deck is finished. 5 for the service. 3.5 for the food. read more

We had a party of 8. While the food was good - the indoor noise level kept everyone from enjoying it. There was zero conversation because people couldn't hear one another over the volume of other patrons. Then also, not sure if it was staff going outside and slamming a door or the opening for staff to go in and out of the bar being slammed down but there was a very loud slamming every few minutes that was loud enough to make people jump. Very disappointed. we booked a very large group the first time and had great service from James & Dustin . So I came back again with Dustin then again with James . Then the 4th time I came back with my family of 8 we were seated outside as always . Laura server helps me move the table and since my party was of 7 people . I'm seated , I went to the restroom and Laura and crew were talking about me when I passed by . She asked me for my family to get up and move because today was Marina day and they are about to enforce rules . I showed her this picture with the time stamps and explained it's 4 people in this entire restaurant and I just came last weekend with no problem. My family will never come back not to mention the preparation it took to travel to get here for us all . James and Dustin good customer service is why we came , because the birds shit every where on the outside tables , your cars , all over the parking lot , it will be on your shoes , you damn near need a umbrella to walk in the door from poop droppings everywhere. They make up rules on the spot . Also cover your food , it's dog hair on the tables , I had to bring my personal wipes . The Sundance Grill II is one of my favorite restaurants in this area. My go to for great food, service and breath taking views of the water and boats. I have been a long time patron and will continue to be as well. Super excited that they serve Brunch now. Service is always on point. Bathrooms are always clean. And the food is always delicious. Our party of 8 came in after church for lunch. We heard it was under new management and had changed their menu recently. It wasn't very crowded so we were seated and ordered drinks right away. The service was pretty slow but friendly. They brought out some bread and garlic butter which was very good. Those who ordered side salads were very pleased with their salads but those who ordered side soups never got them. The meals came out next and all were pleased with their food. When the soups came out late we asked them to be put in to go containers. There were apologies and excuses that they were under staffed and practically everyone was new. So one star off for slow service. But we will definitely try them again. read more

Beautiful view of the water and beautiful sunset views. We had our dinner outside on the patio tonight while we enjoyed the pool and after dinner we enjoyed the hot tub. I haven't had a wedge salad in years and it was delicious. My husband had the shrimp Bimini which I did not get a picture of but it was delicious and the green beans were perfect! Sadly I was truly looking forward to eating here. Went Saturday night at 7, no host to seat us, took 15 minutes for someone to come over to get our drink order. He brought me a taste of a Riesling which I liked and asked for a glass. He never came back with my drink nor menus. We waited till 7:45 which is when I motioned to a busboy to get someone so we could pay for the one glass of wine my guest had. The view is lovely yet very warm inside. And currently they are short staffed so good news is if you're looking for a job they need help. Bad news is now is not the time to go there for dinner. We had a fantastic lunch here on the patio. The view is absolutely gorgeous overlooking the marina. I had the shrimp bimini. It features jumbo shrimp stuffed with crab, salmon, and spices. Quite delicious! My mom loved her shrimp wrap which also included bacon and avocado inside. We had keylime pie for dessert and scraped our plates. It was amazing! We tried some of the cocktails and especially enjoyed the chocolate martini. On a beautiful day you never want to leave. We'll definitely be back soon for both the food and the great view! read more

The atmosphere here is awesome. So is a friend's son that plays music here. But...the price point for the not- so-good food is terrible. My grilled chicken tonight was overly flattened and grilled to a crisp. The avocado was brown. After the waiter dropped off the food, he never returned until all of the food was gone. Yes. I ate it. It was 10pm. He asked how was it? I said well. You never came by to ask. But it was terrible. And I then showed him the pictures I took. He literally told me he has "been busy". LOL. How rude. I showed him the pictures. Then he said, "well I don't make the food" I still left a 15% tip. And then when he picked up the signed check, he grabbed it off of the table without saying thanks. It wasn't until he was leaving that he said he was sorry. Terrible ... Our sailing club comes here more than 8 times in a year. So much money is doesn't here. So much money I have spent here. I wish I could talk about the food and the seaside scenery. But I unfortunately had one bad service experience around November 2020. I am sure that before the pandemic, Sundance Grill was more considerate and that it also has many good staff and servers. But it appeared that once the pandemic came around, it may have gotten lax on decency or empathy. At first, it appeared accommodating when we dined outside. However, I first noticed the waitress was not masked, although she stood a fair distance. The waitress explained that masks for servers were not required outside. At our request, she put on a mask to serve us. Now I took that as a red flag that the waitress stepped out without a mask at first since I also noticed other servers outdoors wore their masks. The service from then on was solid. However, there was an incident where the manager ran out without a mask to deal with a receipt question. My mother and I were caught off guard. When I asked her, sternly if she had a mask, she completely ignored me. When I asked again, my mother tried to defuse the situation by apologizing on my behalf. The manager said, cheerfully, "Don't worry [mask wearing] is a choice." It was a condescending response to a reasonable concern. My mother later regretted she condoned it, but the event overwhelmed to ask her. I understand that some restaurants may have different standards and those standards told the manager that it was okay to approach me closely without a mask in the outdoors. However, we are in a pandemic (that's still going on in 2021) where safety--and validating other people's requests for it--is key.  This incident has allowed me to question the management here. Even if this place treated me well in the past, it forced me to question how it, or at least just this manager, could treat people other than myself. While I hope it is only an isolated event, it needs acknowledgment. read more

An acquaintance suggested we go here, so a week or so ago we came. We weren't impressed with what we had. We got the stuffed cabbage and an apple strudel. The stuffed cabbage seemed to just be ground meat and rice wrapped in a cabbage leaf. It wasn't bad, just nothing special. The strudel was mostly apples. I like a lot of pastry on both peach cobbler and strudel. Yelp is always asking me if they have a view and I have to always answer no. So, of course this time they didn't ask and it has a view. Another question, is it a good for a date night. Almost always I have to answer no. This place is good to bring a date. It's a drive for us so we probably won't be back, but might. __ We've eaten out every meal for 30 years read more

This place used to be amazing and our go to brunch place. However, now they have changed their fixed 4 course brunch menu to an a la carte menu. This place was not cheap by any means but at least it was worth it. Now the food is expensive and on top of that the food quality has significantly deteriorated. Happy to report a fabulous experience! Staff was very attentive, management was fully engaged and the food was great! This is the result of a team working together. We ordered salmon, salads, schnitzel and burgers and it was all really good. They perhaps serve the best onion soup anywhere around as well. Worst meal I have had in a long time!! My husband's meal came out wrong, so waitress took back to kitchen while mine sat and got cold. She never offered any options to keep warm. When she came to check, I let her take my plate which had only taken a couple bites, explaining was not good cold. When I asked for it to be removed from ticket, manager refused, leaving the waitress to apologize over and over again and tip reduced significantly. We have been to this restaurant many times and supported through pandemic and will never be back, apparently has new management that has no business running a restaurant. read more

After an afternoon of sailing, four of us were famished and craving seafood. We decided on the Sundance Grill, located in the same marina as where the boat is stored. Upon entering I was impressed by the atmosphere and thought we were about to have an excellent meal. The views were spectacular, there were white table clothes, and the place had a very country club vibe. After being seated inside, we opted to sit outside, as we noticed there was a live band since it was Memorial Day. Our waitress was very friendly and sweet, yet pretty uneducated about the menu. She didn't really have any suggestions and confessed that she didn't even like seafood!? Cray cray... For an appetizer we shared the campachana. It was tasty and hit the spot, but I think it may have been pace picante sauce mixed with seafood. It had a very familiar taste. We were starving so we ate it all. I ordered the grilled shrimp po-boy. As it was placed in front of me I literally started laughing. My dining companions, knowing I am a Yelper, got a kick out of the ridiculousness that faced me. (see pic). There were about 6 small shrimp WITH THE TAILS placed on a sad bun. The sauce served on the side was Thousand Island (ew). It was the saddest sandwich I've ever seen. I managed to rip off half the bread, squish the few shrimp I had into a more tolerable condensed sandwich, but it still didn't taste good. I learned that the chef is from Germany and that his wiener schnitzel is delicious, but I don't want to eat that after a day out on the boat. Sorry chef. We will not be back here again. I'll use Yelp to find our new go-to place after sailing. read more

Came here for our office Christmas lunch today. The place itself has a nice atmosphere! We had a buffet style lunch, which consisted of salad, rice, green beans, and a choice of pork, chicken or salmon. Seeing as how the pork and chicken were in a cream sauce, I opted for the salmon, which had an incredibly fishy taste. Yeah, I get it, it's fish, but this was overwhelming and I have always been told it means the fish isn't fresh. Nonetheless, I ate it because I seriously have an iron gut!!! LOL. I also got the salad but found a hair in it so I quit eating it, just didn't really need the extra protein from the hair at that point. It could have fallen from anyone's head, including one of my colleagues, so who knows. Green beans tasted good though!! I skipped dessert but it was probably so good that I'm going to tell myself it was probably awful!! Basically, I left hungry, but no biggie because my next meal was only 2.5 hours away in the form of a snack bar! I will come back another time and just try something off the menu to give them a really fair chance because it might actually be pretty good! read more

Hans is super, its a classy joint white table cloths and all. A little on the expensive side but the staff are nice, upscale and happy to see you. The drinks were good and the food great. Definitely on my list of returns. Great for a date too if your looking for such a place. The views of the boats are great and you can sit outside by the pool if you like. I cant imagine getting in the pool as the set up is strange but it is a lovely pool. As I was staying in this area for almost a month I came back a few times and each time I had a different experience. Brunch is good as are the bloody marys but it was slow with the server explaining they couldnt find the bartender and true to his word when I passed the bar there was none to be found. Lunch was disappointing and the bartender that day was rubbish and complete disaster. With some better staff this place would be awesome. read more
