Melissa came to our rental on AMI and cooked a 5-course meal for my husband and me to celebrate this birthday. The food was absolutely fantastic! The BEST all-around meal we've EVER had... and we are hard core foodies! Chef Melissa is professional and truly an expert in the kitchen mixing wonderful flavors and textures to make the meal outstanding. Working with Chef Melissa was super easy before we arrived to the island. I communicated with her via email with her responses to all emails easily within the hour. She is VERY attentive to her customers and communicates very clearly her needs and expectations on coming into the home to cook. I cannot wait to hire her again to cook for us the next time we're in the area! You will NOT be disappointed! Trust her and she will create the most exquisite menu around! read more

I reached out by email and was directed to the company's website. After looking through it, I shared some constructive feedback because, in my opinion, it didn't seem customer-ready. Instead of being open to the feedback, the response was immediately defensive. When we spoke, I was also surprised by how expensive the pricing was. While everyone is free to charge what they believe their services are worth, customer service should still be professional and welcoming. Unfortunately, I was met with an attitude from the very beginning of our conversation, which made the entire interaction uncomfortable. Because of that experience, I decided not to book. My family has hired private chefs for every vacation we've taken in Florida, and we've always had wonderful experiences. First impressions matter, and this one left me feeling completely turned off before we even had a chance to discuss the menu or the event. read more

Her substandard cleaning practices and undercooked food gave my entire family food poisoning and put my daughter in the hospital for 2 days

We did it again!!! Off the charts Mother's Day meal. Scallop and pork belly, spicy Cesar snapper and lobster risotto- Just incredible. See you soon! read more

Chef Melissa was AMAZING !!' We have hired chefs on many group occasions from all over the country and Melissa I would have to say has been the BEST. Each and every dish was outstanding, full of flavor . She catered to us despite a chaotic first night in vaca with kids running around everywhere, made extra food when we didn't have enough. We all agreed it was the tastiest meal ever, can't recommend her enough ! read more

****Do not hire this woman**** From the minute she got there, she was mumbling to herself visibility upset about something. She then proceeded to have a full on mental breakdown screaming at our entire party. She ostracized my wife and her friends for not communicating about some items she needed to prepare the food/drinks. To the point where it was uncomfortable. Being the nice people that they are, the group said "hey, it's no big deal, we're here to enjoy the meal/have a good time." Simply trying to de-escalate the situation. She has no reaction and continued to mumble to herself. As she continued to prepare the food, I was having a private conversation with my wife about my 2 month years old son's sleeping arrangement. She then interjected herself into the conversation and made a very rude remark towards me. I told her it was a really rude comment to make and not to talk to us like that. She then started hysterically screaming and told me to show the salsa she was preparing up my A$$. She told me how she was a single woman and that she was intimidated by me as a man. Just really bizarre stuff. At that point we asked her to leave and she continued to have her tantrum. It was so uncomfortable that we were about to call the police. She also continued to harass my wife after she left texting her blaming her for the whole thing and insinuating that we were never going to pay her. My family and I are not those type of people at all. We're very blessed and have had many personal chefs in our life. All of them have been so positive, kind, and a joy to be around. It is a hospitality industry at the end of the day, not an episode of Hell's Kitchen. I don't care how great a chef you think you are, you don't treat people the way you treated us. I really pray that Melissa finds the help she needs and reconsiders her career. I hate leaving bad reviews like this. But I need to make it known to the community I grew up in so they do not have to go through the experience we went through. read more

Incredible food and presentation. Melissa was so great and we are thrilled with our decision to use her. Can't recommend enough.

Melissa was fantastic!! We had such a lovely and relaxing evening celebrating my mother in law's 74th birthday! Melissa arrived on time, was both easy to talk to and happy to let our family do our own thing. She was also wonderful about our numerous photograph requests, entertained tons of our questions about how she got into this and what it's been like during COVID times, and she served us the most delicious dinner in the privacy, safety, and comfort of our home! We found her rates to be very reasonable, she was super flexible about the menu options, she was highly responsive over email and text, and we would love to have her back for another occasion! HIGHLY recommend! read more

My husband hired Chef Melissa as a birthday present for me - a nice dinner in the comfort of our own home. We would consider ourselves "food enthusiasts" and have had the opportunity to eat at some pretty fantastic places - but this was by far one of our most favorite culinary experiences! Right off the bat, Chef Melissa allowed us to provide some input into the menu and tailored it to us perfectly! If you enjoy trying new flavors and appreciate where ingredients come from/are sourced, then we would highly recommend Chef Melissa! She was the perfect balance of being professional yet personable while cooking right in front of us. We tried flavors we've never had, while enjoying a twist on our favorite foods - like bang bang shrimp, lamb, and pasta! While we hired Chef Melissa to cook for just the two of us, her food and style can easily translate to larger groups. We could not recommend Chef Melissa and Suncoast Cuisine more! read more

Hiring a private chef on a family vacation is now going to be a family tradition after Chef Melissa made dinner for my family. I called Chef Melissa on a Tuesday morning to see if she was available to make dinner on Wednesday (the very next day). Fortunately she was available and after reviewing her menu, I called her back to book everything and we were booked! Chef Melissa then sent me a menu and invoice so we knew what to expect ahead of time. She was also accomodating to fish, bell pepper, gluten and wine allergies in the food. Fast forward to the dinner and everything went off better than I could have hoped for. Chef Melissa prepared an incredible meal that everyone could not stop raving over. We started with homemade calamari, shrimp Ceviche and chips & guac. Dinner was filet mignon and Florida Red Snapper with potatoes and asparagus. Finally, the orange marmalade vanilla cake and key lime tarts rounded out what everyone said was the best meal they'd had in years. This was an incredible meal and experience. We can't wait to hire Chef Melissa again. I highly recommend her for any cooking needs! read more

I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful our recent celebratory meal for 8 was! Melissa worked very closely with me to create a decadent and delicious restaurant quality meal. From Steak tartare to caviar, to an amazing charcuterie platter, and other little goodies and touches and that was just to start. Our main meal of Scallops with a Fennel salad followed by Duck breast was amazing, she was such a pleasure to work with, I'm so happy to have met her & will use her again for sure! read more

Melissa is amazing! She cooked two dinners for our family vacation and knocked it out of the park both nights. Delicious, fresh, creative dishes served with a friendly and professional attitude. Suncoast Cuisine - Surf and Turf - Personal Chefs Near Me - Bradenton, Florida

Chef Melissa was amazing!!! We cannot stop talking about our experience with Suncoast Cuisine! The food was delicious and Melissa was so great to work with! We booked Melissa for two nights on our recent family vacation to Anna Maria island and could not have been more pleased. Not only did we not have to cook or clean but the food exceeded expectations! She was also incredibly patient with the 5 tiny children running around and completely flexible on everything! We had one night with a sit down 3 course meal featuring grouper and the most amazing risotto followed up with a hot lava cake and ice cream... my mouth is watering thinking about it! The next time we did a more casual tapas dinner that was so fun to try several different dishes in a family style setting. Don't miss the seared tuna, the crab cakes, the goat cheese spread or the filet medallions!!! Really, don't miss any of it! It truly was an experience and we are so thankful we did it! We live nearby and will certainly use Melissa again!! read more

Melissa cooked three meals for our six-person family while we were on vacation and every course was delicious, inventive, thoughtful, and locally inspired.
