Chef Mike's meals provided us with nutritious, great tasting meals, already prepared and easy for last minute dinners. Just what we needed. We were a little concerned about the cost to begin with, but we were pretty sure we were already spending as much if not more on our meals. We were right on this point, and it turns out that for us, using 941Organics actually saves us money. Then, this summer, we ended up taking a break due to vacations, life issues etc that didn't lend itself to a regular meal schedule. It soon became apparent that we spent FAR more money without Chef Mike's meals due to our tendency to make last minute dinner decisions, eating out too much, and the added expense at the grocery store, etc). But the reason I decided to review Chef Mike's service today is because now that we have re-instated his service, we are so pleased! I really enjoy all the variety he's now offering (smoothies, sides, different sized meals), but more than anything - the food is so good! I just had his miso soup and I swear it is the best miso I've ever had! I'm not exaggerating! Same with the tortilla soup, as well as the other meals we've had recently. Fresh, flavorful and I know Chef Mike is sourcing his ingredients from all the right places. It's like being able to eat out at great restaurants but paying far less. Not to mention the convenience and knowing the food is well-sourced. So, just wanted to say thanks Chef Mike and we are happy to be back!

We wanted our last night to be chill at our condo and not have to be out at a restaurant so we booked a private chef. The meal choices were so varied!! You could get the standard lobster/steak but we wanted something different and unique. The Chef didn't disappoint whatsoever! We had 4 courses and he came in with all the cooking equipment, had apps prepared and ready with our first cocktail and the salad, entree (scallops) and dessert were just fantastic and perfectly cooked. Called the morning of pick-up to make sure it was going smoothly. That's where the issue came in. When I first placed the order, bakery employee told me it was not a problem to have a small bag of buttercream icing on the side for me to add-on my own decorations once I receive the cake. When I called the morning of, no notes about icing on the side. Told me that I couldn't have it. I persisted and asked again, was on hold, finally got back to me and said they could do it but it was an extra $4 and that they'll NEVER do this again. First employee told me that it wouldn't be a problem and that they'll make sure it'll be on the side for me.... Regardless of that whole situation, my cake was able to be picked up early, I did buy a tiny bag of $4 buttercream to decorate my own cake, and the cake did taste delicious. I got brown butter cookie crunch frosting with vanilla cake and fresh strawberries on the inside with white buttercream on the outside. Everyone looooved the brown butter cookie crunch. Then made and placed the paper water decorations on myself.
