Huge crack in the rigth panel
    Reynel R.

I bougth this shed around 3 years ago, on November 2019 and after a while the front panels started to crack. They were supposed to be covered by a 10 year warranty but when I contacted the company they said they won't accept the claim because I didn't build a proper concrete foundation even when I placed my shed on a flat and level tile surface. I don't think that would have made any difference and I'm pretty sure they also know that. I'm really dissapointed with this shed and this company, so I do not recommend it at all. If you are considering this shed, try to focus on the reviews from customers that have owned it for more than 3 to 4 years, because it looks nice when assembled but it just won't last and Suncast will not do rigth by you.

The off-centered truss that prevents the lid from closing.

I purchased two sheds that were supposed to be identical but ended up with one BMS4700X and one BMS4700Z. The BMS4700Z is supposed to be an improved version but it has design flaws. Do not purchase products from this company. They have zero integrity and will do whatever it takes to NOT back their products or honor their warranty. What should have taken a few hours is taking a few months because their shed has a design defect and they refuse to acknowledge it because that might cost them money. They will request hundreds, if not thousands of photos in the hopes that you will eventually give up and walk away. And just about the time I thought we were getting close to an epiphany about their flawed truss, they stopped replying to my emails and questions about how they needed the pictures, but when they did finally respond, my questions still weren't answered but they magically had a new solution to the problem, which, if I had actually done it, would have put me right back at square one with an unlevel shed. I'm having to contact the Attorney General of Virginia. Don't do this to yourself.

    Split corner

The plastic shed split open in two corners after about 4 years. The company will not cover this under warranty, so now I will have to buy a new shed, but definitely not Suncast product again!

Thin walls. Separating from lid after 3 years. Mfg defect, will not honor their 10 year warranty. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

They seldom honor their warranty. I bought a shed from them that had a 10 year warranty. The lid is separating away from the hinge after less than 4 years. The foundation is level, everything is square but they refuse to honor their manufacturing defect. Do not choose their product because of their warranty because it's false advertising.

I was told the anchors would be installed by the crew when the shed was built. I was given also given a recommendation for somebody to prepare the shed base, a guy named Tony. Tony quoted $1,200, which seemed very high to me, so I got 3 other quotes from Angie, which ranged from $600 to $800 and included 4x4 lumber frame. Tony agreed to $800, but argued about the 4x4 lumber. He wanted to use 2x lumber, but finally agreed. The only reason I wanted to go with Tony is because he was recommended by Tuff Shed, and I wanted it done right. I told Tony it needed to be big enough so anchors could be put in and he said he knew about that. I asked him to contact Bill if he had any questions. After the shed was built, I saw that there were no anchors put in. Bill said he didn't understand why, but would check on it. Tuff shed then told me I would need to pay an additional $220.00 for the anchors, even though I was told it was included in the original price by Bill. I paid, and when they came to install them, I was told there was not enough clearance around the shed base to put the auger type anchors in that I paid for. Instead, they put in these flimsy wire type anchors on the outside of the wood frame, into the dirt. Tuff shed would not credit me with a refund for the cheap wire anchors. I then realized just how bad a job Tony did on the frame. The entire back of the shed 4x4 is floating above the ground. You can put your foot under the 4x4 in the back. It seems to be nailed in to the 4x4's on the sides. I wonder how long it will be before this thing collapses and spills the gravel out? I let Tony know I was unhappy with what he had done, and he claimed he would take care of it. Weeks later, no word. Now I see, the cheap wire anchors are loose. There is a lot of slack in at least one of them now. Maybe the base is starting to collapse? I do blame Tuff Shed for at least part of this problem, being that Tony was their recommendation. I'm really aggravated with Tuff Shed. Yes, Bill is "Nice", Tuff Shed is "Nice". All the "Nice" people that can't seen to do their job. The strange thing is, I really like the shed. I put on the second coat of paint they left for me, and it looks good. The build seems sturdy, which is why I went with Tuff Shed to begin with. That being said, I so regret going with them. I should have just gotten quotes from Angie and had a qualified person do the base and the shed. Good luck to you if you are looking to have a shed built. Try to find a place that stands by their work, and takes responsibility for the base and shed. I will probably need to go with Angie to find somebody to fix this mess. Ideally, I would like to have the base redone, so there is room to fit the proper anchors in, and the base is not floating above the ground.

She walked me through the process for getting the shed and even took the time to go over some additional options which I added on. I needed to get building permits pulled and the site prepared with a compacted gravel pad. During the time it took me, Yoselin followed up every other week to check on my progress. Once I had my site prepared, I called Yoselin back and she set me up with an installation date three weeks out. The building crew came and installed the shed in a single day. They were courteous, clean, and did an excellent job. I am exceptionally happy with the entire process. After reading a lot of reviews, I think a lot of people's problems come from a lack of preparation. Tuff Shed's materials clearly state what is needed for the site preparation.
