READ THIS before sending balikbayan boxes with Pentagon Cargo…read more I am getting the word out there to consumers that I have used Pentagon Cargo for years and this last shipment was the last time I am using them. I sent 2 boxes from San Diego to Iloilo City in the Philippines. And never before was my cargo opened and ever stolen from. But they time, when I had donations for those affected by Quinta flood, these were stolen. The computer parts that I declared on the form were gone.. Stolen! Items that were not mine were placed inside my boxes. I guess the thief was in a hurry. Even organic rice I included in there were stolen. Computers that were to be donated to children in remote areas of the province were stolen. My cargo sat in storage for 6 freakin' months more than enough time to get any cargo stolen. The packed boxes were 50% empty in one and 75% empty in the other. The box was almost flat!! The sides were warped and caved in. The person who picked it up used a dolley when he picked it up and when I got it, I could lift the boxes! It was THAT empty. I will never use this company again. After years of using them, their service is BAD now and relatively no customer service at all. No one called to inform or let alone apologize for the delay. I had to call them myself in National City from the Philippines just to follow up. And still, nothing. I promised myself, I will get the word out there that CONSUMER BE WARNED. I am not sure $200.00 is worth my time, aggravation and frustration. I am fortunate someone is following up my claim for me in National City. I am not sure monetary compensation will address or solve what was stolen from me. They will never have my trust again. I am reviewing them in YELP because people use this now to make informed decisions when seeking companies that are RELIABLE. I hope they read this because I will NEVER USE Pentagon Cargo EVER! Learned my lesson the hard way as well. There are better Cargo shipping companies out there, use those instead.
