Joe is really a great guy.... we worked with his competitor across the street a few years ago, and long story short, the new liner we purchased just 3 years ago didn't last and we had to get another new liner this year. Joe is VERY knowledgeable about all things pool related. Although the spring was a very wet one, which makes it hard for them to do installations, Joe kept in contact with us the whole time and came out every nice weather day he could to keep the process moving. He even helped us with a separate water issue that was well outside his contract with us. Since switching to SUNBURST pools & spas (which is very separate from the one across the street!!), our pool costs have gone down tremendously, the maintenance has gone down, and we now have a beautiful properly installed liner! Great service, even when under a tight deadline! Joe at Sunburst Pools saved the day for us when, unexpectedly, our pool needed to be replaced just before all our children and grandchildren were to visit our home for Father's Day weekend. It was a hot weekend, and the kids needed/wanted a pool to swim in. Go with your gut at your first encounter. I'm incredibly sad to say these people are CON men from the very first conversation to the very last. Paid 100k for an inground pool install. Pool was supposed to be installed in June wasn't finished until mid-September. Repeated excuses and lies almost daily and even tried to slide in additional charges multiple times. Save yourself a lot of headaches and disappointment and RUN... use any other company. I share this experience only to warn others looking for any kind of pool service. I called for some information on my pool pump that started leaking the end of last summer, so before we set it up this year, I decided to call for some assistance. I spoke to a wonderful young lady that put me in touch with Joe. After explaining my situation, Joe made some recommendations, instead of having me pack everything up and driving from Chillicothe to Pataskala Ohio. I will be trouble shooting like he told me, he also said if it didn't work call him back! They were both very nice and informative. I went in to Sunburst Pools today looking for a vacuum for my pool, which I must add was not a Sunburst Pool. I had the pleasure of speaking with Joe and his kind hearted honest staff. Once I explained why I needed this expensive vacuum the staff insisted I speak with one of their professionals to ensure that it would work for my particular situation. Great service ! After 22 years and 3 pumps the liner began to leak . The pool was purchased at that location . Joe and his crew put a new liner in , removed and disposed of the old one , replaced all the return and skimmer equipment , brought two loads of water , and it's like new . The service is great . One gentleman even came back on a the weekend to make sure everything was perfect . He found a loose clamp and tightened it . I recommend Sunburst Pools for parts and chemicals , as well . read more

They built our pool 8 years ago and it's held up great. These guys really know their stuff when it comes to repairs and pool chemicals, and they'll actually teach you how to fix things yourself. Thought we just needed a sand change today, but it turned out the pump was cracked. They came out same day, tracked down the part, and got it done. The service guys are awesome. And Joe... well, Joe is Joe. Not exactly warm and fuzzy, but he's a big softie underneath -- and he knows what he's doing. read more

We bought this house with the pool already here, I have not had any problems of getting information from Joe or any of the crew members of what I need to put in my pool to get it clear to get ready to swim that day or the next. I just had my inground pool liner installed by Joe and his team. I thought I would have to wait until spring, but Joe said he could get it done before I closed it. They measured, ordered and installed the liner in about 2 weeks. Even though the weather was a bit unpredictable they worked on it every day they could.
