wasn't impressed for several reason. I ordered a western omelet and was asked what type of cheese and bread I would like and I said American cheese and sour dough bread and got cheddar cheese and white bread. When I went up to tell the man who took my order he ignored me. Then they forgot to give my wife her orange juice and when she went up to get it he filled the glass and as he handed it to her split it all over the tray of muffins when she told him he said nothing I guess he thought it was no big deal. Plus the menu was far too pricey for a self serve cafe. Also the wait time was way too long. read more

This place use to be great, not sure what happened! We would get Americano coffees, but they changed the coffee? A couple weeks ago the potatoes that came with my breakfast were tasteless, dry and burnt. Today they were tasteless and dry. I can make better coffee at home. Did they change owners or cooks? David O My wife and I dined at your cafe this morning. When I attempted to use a $25 certificate from Naples Originals, I was told that the cafe no longer participates in that program. My certificate does not expire until November 8, 2019. I believe this is very poor business practice on your part. Since the certificate was purchased prior to your decision (November 2018) I think it would have much better to honor the certificates issued prior to December 31, 2018 and simply not have issued any more after January 1, 2019. I am very displeased with your decision and attitude and I can assure you I will not return and I intend to convey this story to my friends. I am confident your parents would not have handled this matter in this fashion. My wife's avocado toast was more like a smear & the fresh fruit was warm, the cantaloupe was spoiled. Her poached eggs tasted like vinegar. Years ago we enjoyed Sunburst weekly or more. Very sad about our visit today! read more

Yes, it might be in a strip mall, but this place is the cutest little place with great decorations. The customer service is fab! And sometimes it is nice to not have a wait staff. (They bring out the food after one orders at the counter). I loved the unique dishes, and I'm sorry we had already Starbucks (I know, hisssssss!). It was such a homey, cute place. read more

This is a great spot to get a quick, fresh, tasty and reasonably priced breakfast. The muffins are ridiculously good, very moist and tasty. The espresso drinks are strong and crafted. Have been here plenty of times with my mother and now my boyfriend. Great great great food. It's always busy so you know everything is fresh, unless they run out of the food you desire. Very friendly staff and comforting atmosphere. Again the food is AMAZING. I usually get maybe 2 or 3 of their dishes so I haven't tried everything but based off what I get I can say it's 5 star. Coffee is also really good here. It might be a little crowded inside but somehow it all works out, they also have outside seating. Although they are know for breakfast, we are usually here for lunch and we have lunch here quite frequently. Food is always delicious and Jerome and his family are amazing. My son loves that they lend out a bucket of toy cars and so do we although the wait for food is never long. It is small but I think that only serves to invite a sense of community that you don't often get to see in Naples. If you like to support locally owned businesses you should not miss out on dining at this gem. read more

The locals seem to love this place. It's off of Pine Ridge Rd. in a large Target plaza. We've stopped here twice now. Once in February and again last week. The cafe is small and narrow and the tables are quite close together. There are tables outside on the sidewalk as well. Even with twenty people inside, it feels crowded because of the size and setup of the cafe. We've had omelets here, served with potatoes and toast. We tried the coffee the first time. It wasn't very good. We wouldn't bother stopping here again. We can just make a great breakfast at home that is better than this. read more

this was a solid breakfast place. i think the nicest part about this place was that it felt local. most places in Naples just feel like they belong in a typical American strip mall. but this place had character and really friendly staff. Recommended to us by some locals, this was just the kind of bohemian atmosphere we were looking for in a breakfast cafe. The place was packed at 9:30 on a Saturday. The staff were all super friendly and attentive. The trick is to grab a table, then go up and place your order. We had the blueberry pancakes and a ham/cheddar omelet. It arrived nice and hot and quickly too. Also bought the canoli cupcake? It was delicious except the cream cheese like filling :( All the muffins looked amazing though. I have been going to Sunburst Cafe since I discovered them in 1998! Their food and baked goods are simply the best! The owners Jerome and Theresa are always there to greet you with a smile. Jerome arrives each day at 4:00am to bake all of the muffins & Cookies daily. Their Chicken salad sandwich is the best!!!!!! I love their breakfasts too. If I know I am going to be on this side of town running errands, I make sure I get there before 3PM--as Sunburst closes at 3. I love the atmosphere here and although some say the smallness of the place is a detractor, I think it makes for a cozy, more intimate dining experience. The Greek salad and Gyro are delicious, as are all the items I have tried, but for me the real reason to go is the Chai tea latte. I had a horrible experience with Sunburst Cafe today, and this isn't the first time.. My coworkers and I got really bad coffees (that we tried within a minute of getting them) and we called back to complain and asked for the owner. Someone who claimed to be the owner had nothing to say except "I don't know what you want me to do about it" not even a sorry. When I left my job and was walking past the cafe, an employee was outside bussing a table on the phone, clearly talking with his boss because he was having to explain the complaint to them. So when we called earlier to speak with the owner, we didn't. He continued to tell him the "petty bitches from the pet store complained again" (we've had to complain at least 4 times about food or drinks) "they probably let that shit sit there and get watered down, of course it's going to taste like shit you fucking assholes!" He also said something about our order being difficult. PLEASE tell me what's difficult about 3 caramel ice coffees with 1 shot espresso each. Least to say I won't be recommending this place to anyone anymore. read more

Our breakfast dishes were very fresh and tasty. Cappuccinos and lattes were impressive. I wish they gave as much thought to their hot tea, which wasn't hot enough for a good brew.
