Obsessed with Sunbodies ! Have been since high school (long long time ago) ! Hope I can keep this review short. Sunbodies has always been the best. It never needed to get better, but it did. I love all the beds. Truly every single one is my favorite. Something about room 2 makes me feel sexy! They have the same mirrors in every room, but this one hits different. I like to turn the light off in this room and just have the light from the bed - it feels like a spa. I know I said they're all my favorite, and they are, but bed 2 is what it feels like ascending into heaven! It's the bed that gives the angels their glow. Go get your vitamin D from Sunbodies. Oh they have a cute boutique too, and their customer service is like no other read more

I love, love, love this place.... It's 12-20 of me time. Erica and her staff are always super friendly and it always smells REALLY good in the lobby. I get so many compliments on my purse and swimsuit I got from there too.... They also do great spray tans, I'm old fashion, like the tan woman on something about Mary read more

I'm active in a Mardi Gras krewe and being tanned at events has always been a must. I first gave SunBodies a try in January when I had my ball and I was impressed! My experience was great! It was right after New Orleans had a major snow storm, and SunBodies was still equipped to take me and ready at my appointment time. They were even able to get me in a bit earlier since I arrived earlier. I will say I sometimes feel insecure about spraying just because you do have to do it naked, and the tanner made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I told her it was my first time and she told me exactly what to do, what poses to do, and how to take care of my tan. She was awesome! The tan came out great, and it lasted for almost two weeks which is definitely a plus!! For reference I got the rapid only because I don't like having tan on for a long time. Today was my second time, and they were awesome once again. They took me at my appointment time, and she told me exactly what to do, and how to get dress afterwards. The atmosphere overall is great! I highly recommend Sunbodies! I was also able to pay before spraying because I arrived early which insured an easy and seamless exiting after my tan. They do have a variety of swimwear, I just haven't taken the second to look because it is currently 35 degrees in New Orleans! I would say booking with their website is a little confusing, and I thought I had made an appointment but I do not think It went through into their system. They were still able to get me on today, and at the same time that I had previously wanted. Will be back!! Be a good person, and arrive early and tip your tanner, they deserve it for sure! read more

Truly the best and most knowledgeable staff. Always super friendly and helpful. Love the variety of beachwear! One stop shop for my vacation! read more

I inquired about couple's pricing because I was looking for a fun date idea for me and my girlfriend and whoever was managing the insta account blocked me I dunno why. There are definitely a lot of other tanning salons out there that have better customer service especially when you are asking about prices and packages. I guess I'm going to check out a more 'corporate' place. See screenshot. read more

SunBodies - Rudeness. - Tanning Near Me - Metairie, Louisiana

I went for a spray tan recently and was disappointed. I am no rookie when it comes to spray tans. I am the whitest girl you will ever see. I found that if I gain enough dignity to strip down in front of another usually young and skinnier girl that the tan comes out perfectly compared to the machines. The machines give me a "nutella" look that I dont want. Thats why I decided to take this salon up on their $20 first time customer offer. The tanning room was very basic. No big deal there. What I didnt like compared to other places: was the fact that she sprayed me once and really fast. She didnt ask me to bend a certain way,etc to get into any creases I was never told how to take care of the tan afterwards(I just happen to know) She explained while spraying that it will dry darker but yet she asked me to look in the mirror to see if thats the color I wanted to achieve? After the one coat was applied, I was asked to stand in front of two tiny fans that were pointed in awkward positions. I noticed that my leg was only half tan so when she came back in (after drying) I pointed it out and she sprayed the strip and I had to dry again. I asked if she noticed any other missed spots and she said no. I thought my shin/calf was uneven but it was hard to tell in the fluorescent light. After showering the next morning, I noticed that I didnt even have a tan line by my underwear and my shin/calf had a big white strip. I was attending a wedding that evening so there was nothing I could do but go to the wedding uneven and hope no one would notice. :/ Basically, she was the youngest person that ever spray tanned me and the inexperience showed. By the way, when I showed up, the receptionist asked the two girls sitting by the desk who wanted to spray me which was pretty awkward considering that neither looked eager. read more

What a wonderful salon with a welcoming and lovely staff! I'm new to tanning and everyone has been so helpful and sweet getting me set up.

I've been a customer of SunBodies for a few years now. They are always professional, fast and give a consistent / quality spray tan. I'll continue to return! Thanks, SunBodies! read more

Way better prices than planet beach and helpful, knowledgable employees who aren't annoying or pushy. Beds are simple and to the point, which some may not like, but I prefer. My 2 friends (Thurmond sisters) use to work here way back in the day, before the remodel. It's wayyyy nicer now. Waxing and a little boutique area, too. My only complaint is that I wish they were open later. read more

This place is about 2 miles from my house in the women work here are absolutely fantastic. I love their boutique as well as all of the tanning services they offer. Definitely a professional and clean environment with a knowledgeable staff. They are absolutely worth the price in the offer high end lotions and other tanning accoutrement. I never have to wait to attend a bed or session and for someone who is only going to be using these services for an upcoming event and short time, I am very happy with this location. Would definitely recommend to any more regular clientele or simple drop ins. read more

Been here a few different times for an airbrush tan. It's quick and easy, and comes out awesome each time! although I am not thrilled about getting completely undressed in front of a stranger, it's always up to you.....so I do it to avoid any possible lines....but they do make you feel comfortable. I'm no rookie when it comes to "faking a tan," so when people will tell me how natural it looks, I just love it! I will be back!! Before a beach vacation, or a special occasion! Got some cute shorts in the boutique too! read more

SunBodies is the best tanning salon I have been to. The owner and all the girls working there are so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of their products. I also had a spray tan here that turned out stunning! Not one hint of orange. Just a beautiful golden brown. I highly recommend! read more

Great Place This was my first ever spray tan and two days before my winter formal. I am 15 years old and was very nervous, but when I walked in I was greeted with nothing but smiles and a warm welcome. I got there 20 minutes before my appointment and they took me early. When I was being sprayed, Liz, who is super nice, told me what to do. When I was leaving I thought I looked really good, but just a little dark. When I got home and showered it wasn't as dark (It was perfect). Great salon and will definitely be going back in the future. The people working are super nice and fun to talk to. read more

Tan skin for a great price. I was blown away by the monthly uv bed membership being $25, as I'm used to paying an upwards of $40. The ladies working are always super friendly and attentive, never pushy. I was never given a sales pitch once, just as I've never had to wait for a bed. I've no complaints about this tanning salon and have no reason to look for another. read more

Cute little boutique with super friendly help at the front. I didn't catch her name but she was so nice. Laying and standing tan beds at great price! Will return read more

Pretty good place. Got an airbrush tan here last week and only opted for the one layer, thank god I did or else I would have been cooked. At first it was a little too dark for my liking, but after showering it looked awesome. Very satisfied. Friendly staff. read more

I've had many spray tans in my lifetime, and this places is by far the best! The staff is fabulous and they make you feel so comfortable, the actual spray tan product they use lasts for a good amount of time, and it dries so quickly! I will be back next month : ) read more

Everyone's really nice and it's the only place I've ever tanned. However, the hours can be hard to work around and you have to wait to get a bed when someone's getting a spray tan. read more

I had a spray tan at SunBodies a few weeks ago, Emily did an awesome job, she was professional and thorough. SunBodies was clean, staff was great, I will definitely be going back. Bonus... the clothing was super cute, fashionable and reasonably priced. read more

This place is fantastic! I had an appointment at another tanning salon in Lakeview and they cancelled on me without calling. I was in a bind and the event was the next day. Clean, affordable, and great airbrush tanning. They also have cute clothes and bathing suits.

Awesome and affordable place! Friendly staff and clean beds!

This place does the absolute best spray tans. They're pretty affordable for airbrush tans as well, and I always come out looking dark but very natural (never orange) which happens everywhere else!! I've been to just about every tanning salon in the city & have never found a place that provides better spray tans. My only slight complaint is that during extremely busy times, you feel very rushed out the door. read more

Friendly staff, variety of beds, really great prices. I would recommend Sun Bodies to my friends.

After going to a number of tanning salons in the area, I think this one ranks the highest. The prices are reasonable, both on tanning packages and on their lotions and products. The beds are clean, but a little on the older side. The wait staff is welcoming and attentive, they will help you get what you need instead of just throwing you in a room with no instruction. I definitely recommend SunBodies if you live in the area. read more

Best spray tan in the New Orleans and surrounding area. Looks natural!

What an amazing place! I've had 2 spray tans from Liz (who, by the way, is just a doll and so professional and compassionate) and I can't believe the incredible results. Not only do I have the most natural looking tan for the first time ever, but I also have a level of confidence I haven't had in 3 years since I gained weight and had some disfigurement from breast cancer. I feel beautiful and like I don't need to change a thing about myself now. Except maybe I could stop looking in the mirror so much. :) My husband just loves the way I look too ;) Thanks Liz! You don't know what your company now means to me. read more

Always come here for airbrush tanning and it is flawless every time. Love this place

I absolutely love tanning here! The owner is so sweet and the girls who work here are just as nice! They have so many beds that there is hardly ever a wait. It is not as expensive as other tanning salons in the area either! They have great products and as a VIP members they come at a discount. I've been tanning here for six years now and will never go anywhere else! I've gotten airbrushed here too and it came out great. They made sure that I knew exactly how to take care of the tan for it to last! Overall, it's a great place and I wouldn't go anywhere else! read more
