I would not recommend this pawn shop unless you want them to sell your stuff before it's time to be paid for. That's exactly what happened to me. I had to pawn some things before leaving to Oregon to get out of a bad situation. I turned the ticket over to my brother to take over payments and get it out. He went to get it out a few weeks ago, only to find out they pulled it and sold it the month prior. Now they are trying to hide behind the fact that it was there for 7 months... I don't give a shit if it's been there 17 months, IT'S NOT YOURS TO SELL, until the person misses the payment or makes other arrangements. They're also trying to get out of reimbursing me because they said it wasn't my brother's to pawn (I asked my brother to, and they KNEW the entire time that the laptop, speaker and battery pack weren't his and that they were mine). How do I know they knew? Because I pawned it there on SEVERAL occasions. So they were well aware of who's stuff it was. DO NOT PAWN YOUR STUFF HERE unless you want to lose it.. Oh, and they are also very mad about the fact my brother won't give them the pawn ticket that PROVES they sold it before the due date. Do not recommend this place. Period. I would have to disagree with the reviews I have seen about Sunbelt Pawn. I have visited them on numerous occasions, everyone that works at this location are very courteous, welcoming. Every time my mother or I visit we get the funds needed whenever we run into a bind, as well as purchased items from this location at a reasonable price. I never had to return any of them due to the fact that they were not working like some other locations that I have dealt with in the past. Best pawn shop in Houston. The folks who work there are extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the products they sell. If you are also looking to buy stuff they have the best prices I've seen at a pawn shop. They also always offer very fair deals on loans and the stuff you may be wanting to sell. The proverbial "Den of Thieves"! Avoid this Sunbelt Pawn at all costs. I have done many transactions at another Sunbelt Pawn shop (Louetta) and have only nice things to say about them. This place, however, is truly the worst (and most unethical) pawn shop I've been to. I was in the process of purchasing a handgun, something I have done literally dozens of times in the past. I handed over $315.00 and filled out a NICS form. For whatever reason my application was denied. I didn't want to make a big deal of it, and asked to get my money back. The store says, "No". They refuse to refund my payment, and state that it's "Store Policy". If this is the case, why not be honest and tell people this up front??? Instead, they claim that the actual transaction was completed, and that they will not refund my payment, but are willing to give me $315.00 in store credit! How dishonest can you be? To top this all off they tell me that all I need do is call NICS and straighten out the denial by filing an appeal. That's all well and good, until you read that the NICS appeal process is currently reviewing appeals from (are you ready?)... April of 2015. That is 3 years and 3 months behind!!!! This is insane. Adding insult to injury is the fact that although store employees claimed the transaction was "completed" first, they actually did the transaction and bill of sale AFTER the denial came through! So, the reality is that there was no reason not to hand my money back, other than the fact that they CHOSE not to. I've done business with many of the local pawn shops, and never had any issue whatsoever. I will simply tell you that this is a dishonest, unethical store, with arrogant and apathetic staff. They seemed to relish the fact that they were able to keep my money. They obviously enjoyed referring me to the NICS appeal system, which they clearly knew had a 3 year backlog. They actually said to me, "Just go home and give them a call. Maybe you can clear it up today." They fully knew that there is no way to contact NICS via telephone (for an appeal or question), but rather you can ONLY submit an online appeal, and hope that it will be settled prior to your demise. This is absolutely the WORST pawn shop ever, with the WORST employees. Don't bother asking for a manager, because the response will be, "We don't have managers here." As I've said, avoid this business like the plague. At this point I will file a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and see how difficult it is to file suit in Small Claims Court. Cramped in not all the right spaces. Pricing that reflects full retail or has lost complete grasp on reality. I frequent pawn shops to explore and see what may jump out at me, here the only thing that jumped out at me was a price tag or two. Save your time and your money and hit up an EZ Pawn or Craigslist. on may 10 2019 i bought a mans diamond ring for $450.00+37.13tax=487.13. few days later i went and i checked the ring and i learn that the diamonds were cubic zirconia, so i went back and told them that i got the ring with the idea that was 14k gold and that the diamonds were real not zirconia and i would like to get something else about the same value but with real diamonds,so they told me that they give $220.00 for the ring and then i can buy whatever i like,so told them that i was not informed when i got the ring that the diamonds were laboratory made and i am gone to dispute the charges,on their invoice #116125 says 14k yg mns ring 9.8grms and below it(w/czs) i guess means cubic zirconia.so they trick me this is unethical and dirty and i did disputed the charges on my cc. read more

Worst pawn shop ever. You should never do business with a shop that's not trust worthy. I had a loan there and called to get an extension. They honored it and even gave me a price I needed to pay on that date. I go in and they tell me my loan was up 4 days ago which is Ludacris. I obviously came in on the day I asked for the extension. How could I make up the price I had to pay if the shop didn't give it to me. Furthermore, I had my wife pay on the loan one time and they took it out of my name and put it into hers. Today they tried to charge me 300 extra from what they originally told me but then dropped it down to $125.00 extra as if they were doing me a favor. Trust me when I say DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! You will regret it. All the manager said was Its nothing i can do. What a joke! If you can't do anything then why are you the manager! Mark my words when I tell you this place will not be open in the next 2 to 5 years guaranteed. I'm in management and have been my whole career and one thing I know, it's all about people! You have to employ the right people and you have to take care of your customers! Customers pays the salary of employees and this place clearly doesn't understand that! No sunbelt will ever get my business again and I have spent thousands with this place and they lost a customer over pennies to them. You live and you learn! read more
