(Personally I don't care to speak to Answering Services) To me answering services don't care for giving "customer service." And frankly I was uncomfortable in that my message would not be passed on. At that point I called Cathy that I've spoken to numerous times over the years and she has always been very friendly, polite and helpful. (I believe the numbers I have for her are her cell or home number) I felt confident my message would be passed on for my remolding project. To this day May 19th I have not received a call to schedule an appointment. It's great companies are busy and their business is good for them but a courtesy call would have been nice. I have used ASP numerous times over the last 10 years for our pool repairs. I'm gathering customer loyalty is not important in these times. Unfortunately I have had to start a new relationship.

The tech called this morning to cancel/reschedule. I asked if he would be available at 3:00 today. He advised me that he could make it. Around 3:30 I text to ask him for an ETA. He texts back to say that he is in a meeting and will follow up...except he doesn't. I text later for an ETA and get no response. I then call the office to follow up on what the issue might be. I tell the lady who answers that he is supposed to be in a meeting with other techs. She seems completely surprised by this and apologizes for his lack of communication. She assures me she will have someone out today. She then calls me back to tell me that she can't get anyone out today. It's very concerning that we can't even get anyone out to assess our pool. What would it be like with repairs? !

Our pool repairman went through this company for a gas heater warranty. After less than 9 months our $5K gas heater failed. We used our pool and spa during the winter and did frequent PH tests. Our pool chemistry was not off, but our heater corroded completely in less than 9 months. When we contacted this company about the warranty, we were told that we should have registered the heater within 90 days (information we were never given) and that we were out of luck on a $5K part with a 2 year warranty because of that. In addition, he never contacted us after frequent requests until we directly text messaged him, and then lied and said that he had tried to call. His text messages were rude. He provided no service. And he refused to even help with our warranty, and never even visited our home. Do not do business with Alan or AR Pool Service.

And I did call him first. Several times. Not to be mean, but maybe something is wrong with this…read moreguy. He did a minor service call for me a year ago. He did fine and I would have used his service again. Since then, job big or small, AR could never get off his butt for some unknown reason. I've contacted him at least 4 more times. His flimsy excuses are ridiculous. He doesn't feel well, he doesn't like to work on heaters, he'll call back in a couple of weeks. Don't waste your time with this flake. Totally worthless.

This is after waiting five days for service and scheduling with them the "best time and day". So why would they not contact me that they could not service my pool that day? I would question anyone who gets assigned to this company through a home warranty service and would absolutely NOT contact them directly for any type of service.

Others came out and had their own ideas of what we should do. Bryce, fromSummerhill, came out and listened to what we wanted, added his own expert knowledge and came up with an amazing design that combined all of it. The bid process alone was impressive, compared to others and, while they weren't the cheapest, they weren't the most expensive either. So at first when we start. Service was ok. David come first…read moretime and explain a bit about the pool and the system. It was the first time I owned a pool. So I didn't know much. Then we got the big dallas storm. Take David something like 4 months to repair the manifold for the hot tub. So I was not able to use it for 4/5 months. But I totally understand. It was short on any supplies all over. So I can't blame him. How ever ever sense then. The service was not good. I don't know if it's something to do with where we located in Richardson. Or maybe my pool was a big and he didn't overcharge. I have no idea. But service was not good. The guy he send will come few min. Clean a bit. And run away. The pool was always dirty. And yellow on the ground. So many times I find my self going in to brash and clean. So many times. Every time I have an issue. I will let the service guy know. But he would never transfer that forward. Then I will have to text David and that take another week or two before maybe it's get taking care off. His guy will never basically check to make sure everything work. Or any leak. Will come. A bit Cleaniny. Some chemicals and run away. The pool lights never work. He never cared. The pool have a leak for months before I notice my water bill is high. The pool system was beeping for months before finally David was able to come take care of it. For months I will seat and watch a movie and the system will keep beeping. Not good service. For 4 months or so I inform David. That one of those things on the ground are cloth I have asked is your guy suppose to clean it ? His answer was yes. I was watching it. 3/4 months after. He still didn't clean it. I have pic to approve. I have sold the house lately. So I am glad I don't have to deal with it. But soon will build a new pool in my new house. I doubt it I will use north Texas pool again. I don't mind to pay a bit more but enjoy my pool. I did transfer the new owner david number if he want to use him. But just to be nice. I have a mix feeling about the service.
