Unfortunately, that was not our experience. We did the "Green-to-Clean ($800)". It took SIX weeks. We had to repeatedly follow up because they would go ~2 weeks without showing up or communicating. When we asked, we were told there was an emergency situation, we tried to be understanding, but there was no proactive communication on their end. We decided weekly service ($250/month). After the initial clean, we signed up for weekly maintenance. Within 24-48 hours of each visit, chlorine levels would drop back to 0 ppm. GP&A's explanation was that our pool system was outdated and needed to be replaced. However, we had two separate pool inspections done when we purchased the home, plus 3-4 other pool companies assess the equipment, none of them flagged the system (installed in 2017) as a problem requiring replacement. Upsell attempts: GP&A quoted us a full system replacement (under $6,000) and then a filter replacement (~$2,200) before they said they could continue service. We decided to move on to another provider. End of service: We asked if they could continue maintaining the pool through the end of the month. Their last visit was six days before the final day of the month (image attached). The pool was visibly green and in poor condition by end of month (again they serviced it 6 days ago and it is this green; not adding enough chlorine). When we brought this up, they responded that the condition was "consistent with the unresolved filtration issue for which repairs were recommended", essentially placing responsibility on us for not purchasing their repair package. We were looking for a long-term, trustworthy pool service company. What we experienced was poor communication, inconsistent results, and recommendations that no other company has supported. I cannot recommend GP&A based on our experience.

I have tried to get help from all kinds of residential services and I can't even count how many never even return a call. I was thrilled that Scott called right away and on a weekend no less! Scott and I talked through the problems with our pool pump quickly and he was able to diagnose the probable issue. My first experience was after the week freeze we had, and they came out within a week to examine my pool and fix a busted check valve. I've also had them replace ball valves, my pool pump, and 2-lights in the pool. So I've had at least 4-experiences with them and they keep earning my business. I've never had to wait longer than a week for a tech to come out and address the issue, and the techs who've come out have been friendly and very knowledgeable. So far so good with my experience, and I just called them again today to replace an actuator valve that a stupid animal chewed through the wires. I'll keep using Custom Pool Care and going to Randy and Mike Johnson as long as this great experience continues. Thanks guys.
