I popped in today for a spray tan for an upcoming weekend away. Morgan was at the front desk. I hadn't had a spray tan since 2023, and really needed guidance on what I was looking for. She was so sweet and knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions and even took the time to explain each option. I love how my spray tan turned out, and really appreciated her taking the time to explain everything to me all over again. Most of all, she was kind and welcoming. The Stratham location has the worst spray tans/ spray tan booths I have ever experienced. The spray tan shoots out like water and you're left asa spotty mess. You walk out looking like you have a million dirt spots mixed with freckles- not a "sun kissed" tan. This location does have a "newer" booth/spray tan room but it's either "broken" or they never put you in that room. I hadn't tanned in a while so I got a double dark tinted spray as I have always gotten and when I walked out I was pale and the color did not develop over time or over night. I used to spray twice a week when I lived by the Salem location. The versaspa sprays a nice even mist over the body and leaves a really great tan. My suggestion is either update all your "expressions" spray booths or replace them with a versa spa. read more

This company is the worst when it comes to customer service. I am a paying customer who pays top dollar for a membership and when they do the free tan week it's next to impossible for the paying members to get in. I think it's unprofessional and the way they do business is ass backwards. The paying customer should be the top priority over a person who is going for free. The app is also shit just like the way the business is run. It doesn't work at all. I would never recommend suntan city to anyone that I liked. My friends and I all experienced the worst customer service of our lives here. The tans did not work meaning we had to make multiple trips back, thinking the staff would be kind and compensate for their service that didn't work... but no, they were very rude and we ended up having to call corporate twice. The manager was rude herself, when we asked for a refund she questioned us in saying "really? For $15, really?" Never ever in a million years coming here again. I had no problem with the place itself, but I got a spray tan since I had a cheer competition the next day and nothing happened. I was the same color and all I saw on my was spots and i took a shower over 8 hours after and still nothing had happened. I consider myself extremely tan experienced, I have tanned faithfully since 1978( another issue totally) I'm from Mass, so I'm used to some really awesome tanning salons, we'll, that you just do not have here in NH. Well, needless to say, I'm going to Florida, and wanted to tan up here will staying in NH. I picked Sun Tan City, against my better judgement. The only thing good I can say is the place is clean....that's it. Oh sure, they come off like they have some impressive equipment, to the "normal" rec tanner. I just joined a week ago, so it was end of march, I got those "free" which I found odd, and on April 1 they charged my account $84.00 bucks, well.. I tanned yesterday at 1:30 pm. I went in for 9 am today( Saturday) and I was told I could not tan! Due to a "NH LAW" which 1. Was never, ever once mentioned! 2. This law states you cannot tan in a 24 hour period, BUT, THERE IS NOT ONE MENTION OF THIS IN THESE SHOP!...3. There is no mention....BECAUSE THERE IS NO LAW!!!! I have the laws right here, updated in my hand. And NH is actually less strict then Mass is! Any laws on the books are only for 18 and under, THIS COMPANY IS DOING THIS AND MAKING UP THERE OWN LAWS, WHICH I RAN RIGHT TO THE AUTHORITIES AFTER, AND THEY CONFIRMED....NO LAW, WHICH IS FRAUD!!!!! And this is obviously put into place to more or less skim from their costumers!! It's like a company who keeps that one penny,...it adds up over time! So I called and asked for a refund, because if was mislead and lied to. 99.9% of companies if facing this situation! would refund for lack of customer satisfaction.....NOT SUN TAN CITY!!!! I just canceled my membership, they said NO, YOU USED TWO DAYS!!!! Big deal, deduce 10 bucks....but GIVE ME MY REFUND! NO! So off to ten bank, to get my money back.....got it! Tried to tan tonight because I work 2 jobs and can only get to the salon a couple of nights a week. It was 5:35 and raining - not snowing - they were closed due to weather. What the hell. This is NH. When I asked the woman who answered the door she said she did not make the decision. Why she could not let me in is beyond me. i love stc!!! my fave is the double dip! make sure u get the after tan / shower gel and exfoliate prior to getting dipped! i bathe rather than shower & my tan lasts about 6 days and it's dark! they also have my favorite tanning lotion on sale a lot. obsidian!! and the teeth whitening kit works! staff is very nice and knows what they are doing & are cool! by far the best place to tan around & i've tanned from maine to california and no other place compares! they have a sunday thru wednesday free tan in any bed for newbies, so if u want to try it, i highly recommend to everyone i know that tans.. i actually ordered a tanning bed for home then they got the instant bed! lol so i'm staying! which i don't mind. the girls are a breath of fresh air and the price is beyond reasonable! u will get deals, coupons via text & or email.. i stc! read more

Was told I could buy a month only and put two weeks on freeze while I was away. They charged me $5.00 to freeze. That was fine but when I went back after my vacation, they now stated I would have to pay a prorated amount for the month. Why would I even have frozen my account for $5.00 if I was going to get charged for a month minus the $5.00? Waste of time and I got different answers from everyone. Booth #4 turns on and off by itself. You have to get dressed again to let them flip the switch again. I went only 4 times for $55.00 don't bother going there unless you want to be ripped off! Don't waste your money!! The staff is not knowledgeable about the plans at all. They don't inform you about expiration dates, so get it in writing! The beds and booths are down frequently. I just went in to tan and was told there is a 2 1/2 hour wait for sunless because they only have 1 working booth. I should mention that these are the brand new booths installed recently that I (and everyone else I know) have already complained don't work as well only to be told we are crazy. Also, these new, "fabulous" sunless booth don't give you the same level of color as before so to go darker, you get to pay more than the package you had previously paid for. Isn't bait and switch illegal???? If you read any reviews anywhere, you will see that the "owners" or "management" will politely thank you for your input and offer to forward the comments to the appropriate resources or to contact them directly. Don't waste your time. You contact customer support and they refuse to refund you and tell you to go speak to the local salon. You speak to the staff and/or manager at the local salon and they tell you to contact customer support. Worst experience ever, all the way around. read more
