Every head of hair walking out the door is beautiful. Also, the location is fantastic- view of Portsmouth, the river and tug boats? I'm hooked. Side note: the owner, Angel, is WONDERFUL and sweet and her little Boston terrier is snuggly and cute. I have been going here now for about a year. I see Janna. Janna is fantastic and really patient with me. She always cuts my hair beautifully, but today she fixed something that I thought could never be corrected. I was given a "clear gloss" by a friend- and it stripped all my dirty blonde color out of my hair. I had been growing my natural color for 3 years and LOVED it. In one swoop it went away. I don't know HOW she did it- but she, and the help of 2 others, worked for 2 solid hours on my hair until it was perfect. Back to my natural color, silky texture and perfect. I had just got a cut on Saturday from Janna, so finally I am able to enjoy it! Take my advice and make an appointment. If you didn't love your hair before, these gals will certainly change that.

I am by no means a "challenging" client, it's just that when hair dressers see my hair that want to do all this stuff to it, that I'm not into! I have straight long and thick hair, it want to stay straight with some layers and a side bang. I was recommended to Sondra and have never been happier! She gets it, she listens to what the client wants and conducts a great consult. She gives a great shampoo, precision hair cut and an excellent blow out. My hair has never looked better. She always listens to what I want, doesn't pressure me into doing more, and I always feel great when I leave her chair. Riannon works the same days as any other salon I've been to, and is there late, so I am able to get an appointment after work. She did my hair and makeup, along with my mom's, sister's and friend's hair for my wedding. She made it a fun experience and we all left feeling beautiful. My mom started as a client of Riannon's shortly after and tells me how much she loves her every time she goes to get her hair done. Riannon is also very generous, always willing to donate an auction prize to support children with autism and their families. I have recommended Sugarz, and Riannon several people and they have all thanked me. I will continue to recommend her to anyone looking for a great haircut from an awesome person!

If you have never been to a head spa, I highly suggest checking this place out. Zoe was top tier!! She asked all the right questions to make sure your experience is what you want it to be. She made me comfortable with a "get to know about you" kind of chat at the start of the experience and then allowed me to just sink in and relax in silence. This isn't just for your head either!! She massaged my shoulders, neck, arms and hands as well.
