Sun Tailor saved the day and worked magic on my bridesmaid dress. It was junior sizing (final sale) and I convinced myself it would fit... fast forward many month of dieting, I finally brought the dress in to get hemmed and see how she could loosen the rib cage area. I don't know how she did it but she didn't have to change out the zipper and perfectly let out enough for me to breathe and even added a little hook in the back to ensure a perfect fit! It was an expensive alteration ($160) but that's really on me for not getting the right size dress in the first place. read more

My mother had a custom Korean dress (hanbok) made for my wedding. She sent my measurements to Korea and when we received it, it was beautiful but REALLY huge on me. I think the inches to metric conversion got lost in translation. I went to 4 different tailors and they all turned me away, they either said it was too complicated or they didn't have the time. I called Sun Tailor and they explained a hanbok is pretty complex but they're willing to take a look at it. I know it was a long shot bc my mom told me how difficult it is to alter that type of dress. Fast forward a few days later I received my dress and it was perfect! The husband and wife duo strategized how they would approach it and although they they adjusted a few "traditional" touches, they modernized it the way I imagined and I love it!' Excellent work, all at a more-than-affordable price! Sun Tailor did a great job at hemming three scrub pants I brought in! One of them even had poor elastic support at the top and they did an awesome job at replacing the pants with new elastic for a much-needed tighter fit. Went in to get the upper chest area of a dress taken in (by the armpits) and a zipper possibly replaced. Asked for help zipping the dress up because the zipper was bad. Dress fits fine- have worn it many times. She refused to attempt to zip it saying it was much to small and I would rip through the dress.... And she refused the alteration I asked for because I would not be able to move my arms. Have had the spot fixed on dresses and tops before with no problems. I am busty and sometimes the upper part can be baggy if I get the bust to fit because I have small shoulders. She was very rude. Was also rude to another customer who dropped off pants to hem. Normally go to another tailor but she has been out sick so I thought I would give this one a try. Never again! read more

The mark of a truly good and professional business is how they handle customer issues. In my case, they handled a change of mind very discourteously. I brought 2 pants in for hem and 1 for repair. I purchased replacements for the two that needed hem so I wanted to cancel the 2 hem jobs only as they were going to be returned. It was Tuesday. The order wasn't due until Friday so work had not even begun. It was a simple matter of refunding my prepayment. Instead, I was told to that refunds mess up their accounting and to take back my entire order. I certainly did take back my entire order and will make sure that I and everyone I know never spend another cent with a business that considers the act of a refund on work they haven't even touched to be an unreasonable request. read more
