Completely ruined it after it took me a year to get it back from California. I had to pay to overnight it back to Cali and get it redone again. Then they put tape on the other big C molding when we set the glass on the car while I waited for the other to get shipped back to me. When I went to pull the tape off it pulled all the clear off the molding. So again I had to pay to ship the other side back to Cali then wait for it to get done. So now it's 70 days later I finally got everything back and he won't return my calls or texts because he knows he messed my stuff up. So I had to pay a wasted $500 on shipping for his screw up. That's 2 boxes overnighted there and 1 box 2 day air back to me. Just a warning to anyone thinking about using them. Use a professional company that has insurance or something.

When A-1 Auto Glass first installed my windshield, the molding around it was damaged during the install. The installer told me it was "dry rotted" and even went so far as to tell me where I could buy a replacement and how much it would cost. When I pushed back, the owner confirmed what the installer said but eventually agreed they would replace the molding. Around that same time, I began noticing significant wind noise while driving. When a different tech came back out to address the wind noise and put in the new molding, he immediately noticed the windshield itself hadn't been installed properly. He told me, "We'll get you a new glass." But when the next appointment came, I didn't get new glass at all. Instead, they just repositioned the old windshield and installed the molding. That work left me with paint chips right at the edge of the windshield--damage I know was not there before. I take good care of my car, and I even have photos from after the first installation that show those spots were not there. When I pointed out the damage in person, the tech flat-out denied it, saying, "That was already there, you can see the rust." Later, when I texted him, he admitted they had removed the windshield using string, but when I asked what they used to remove the urethane, he never replied. I also reached out to the owner twice and received no response at all. At the end of the day, I'm left with damage that didn't exist before their work and no accountability from the company. My car was not in this condition when I brought it in, and I'm now left holding the bag to fix their mistakes. I cannot recommend A-1 Auto glass.

After an unfortunate experience with a hail storm in Colorado, I found myself in need of a new…read morewindshield. I've never had to get a windshield replaced before, so this was a new experience for me. My dealership recommended 1st Stop Glass Service. They use them for all repairs or replacements on the vehicles they sell. So, I figured if it was good enough for them, it would be good enough for me. Prior to their recommendation, I had called a few local and national auto glass shops to get quotes. The prices ranged A LOT... anywhere from $200 to $380 + extra for mobile service... These were out-of-pocket costs, as I was not using insurance. 1st Stop fell somewhere in the middle in price but they were easy to work with. I spoke with Dorothy on the phone and she was very pleasant to work with. She said to be weary of the really cheap shops, as they may be using used glass and other cheaper materials. She also cautioned me against using the popular and well advertised option. As this unnamed company makes their own glass windshields that are of poorer quality. 1st Stop won my business on price, guarantee and the fact that there was no charge for on-site mobile service. The installer, who used to work for the unnamed auto glass company, came and promptly installed the new windshield the same day. It only took about an hour but he said to let it sit for two or three after the install. The auto glass came with a warranty for as long as I own my vehicle, against water leaks, air leaks, manufacturers defects and workmanship. Bonus... they offer free glass chip repair for the 1st year. I don't foresee needing a new windshield anytime soon, but if the need arises, I'll be calling 1st Stop Glass.

The quote was about $300 cheaper that Safelite. I was able to get an appt within a couple of days. I arrived for my appt and was greeted warmly by Nate. He made me comfortable during my stay. The waiting area is very nice and conducive work plugging up my laptop at their workstation. I had about a 3 hour wait time, so this was very handy. Free wifi access with good stable internet. I was able to remain efficient while working. I was able to listen to Nate handle calls over the phone while I was waiting. So kind and professional. He listened patiently and answered questions with care. He's the right person to have at the front desk for sure. He talked to me about my window repair and assured me that they service Tesla's frequently, which gave me instant confidence. I'd highly recommend this location. You'll be in good hands. My car isn't finished yet but I have zero worries. Updated review: As I'm sitting there, the manager comes out. I verified that he was the manager and asked Nate if I could speak to him. Of course, he had no idea why I wanted the manager. Brent, the manager comes out and he sits down to talk with me like we're two friends in a coffee shop. He further solidified my experience there as he was also very personable. He already has an appreciation for Nate and that was very evident in our discussion. My car is finished about 45 minutes ahead of schedule, which is also great!!! As I'm paying to leave, the owner comes out, who is also very nice (it must fun be a common thread at that place). Zuzu showcased exemplary customer assistance by throughly explaining when emailing back about the quote offered for my glass clearly in detail. He made sure I knew how they would care for my car and responded quickly to fit me in for an appointment that next day. When I arrived I came in the wrong door but they kindly walked me to the lobby and moved my car for me anyway. My two children came with me. They accommodated us with water and coffee. The kids played with the games in the lobby while Auto Glass updated me as we waited. It was such a good interruption from the stress of their grandma being sick.
