I am going on a few vacations in the next few months so I stopped in to get a few items. I was not greeted at all even though there was a lady sitting behind the counter that saw me walk in (she was older with reddish blonde hair and glasses). I actually prefer to not be bothered by the associates while I shop but saying "hi, welcome in" or something of the sort should be standard especially since (I assume) this is a small business. Eventually there was an older blonde woman who did come up to me to tell me about the sales rack and the discounted workout gear. By that time, I had already looked around the store and the fact that the woman at the front couldn't even be bothered to say hi had already left a bad taste in my mouth and I had already made up my mind that I did not want to spend my money there. 3 out of 5 stars because they have a decent selection. However, the best bikini shops in San Diego are Gone Bananas in PB or The Bikini Shoppe in Mission Beach. read more

I hate shopping for swimwear but after reading the outstanding reviews I decided to stop in the store just in case they had something for me. The suits Anna picked for me to try on were definitely not any I would ever think to choose myself but she absolutely knows what she's doing & I left with 2 suits and a romper she thought would be fun for me. I loved going to this store in PB. I purchased a number of excellent swimsuits from them and always received assistance finding shapes and colors that suited my body type and skin tone. The swimwear I purchased previously lasts years and years, making it easy for me to spend a good chunk of change on swimwear. I was in Del Mar yesterday and I'm in need of some new suits, so I stopped in. I walked out empty handed because of the lack of customer service. The woman in the store didn't acknowledge me when I entered. I walked around the entire store and found a number of really cute tops I liked, but none were in my size (small). I tried to engage the woman working in the store, but she was evasive and seemed to be frustrated that I was there. I didn't feel comfortable even asking if other sizes are available, so I left. The store has a great selection of styles, but not sizes (at least on the floor), and this particular salesperson was the opposite of helpful. I otherwise love the store, so the next time I'm in Del Mar, I'll try again and hope for a different salesperson. In the meantime, I'll just buy some suits online and return them if they don't fit. read more

I highly recommend Sun Splash Swimwear in Del Mar if you are looking for designer swim and resort wear. They have a lot of suits in all different cuts and fabrics. I received friendly and helpful service both times I was in looking for a suit. Ana was VERY kind and gave me help without being pushy. I found several suits I really liked and had a hard time just picking one. The ONLY reason I didn't give them 5 stars is based on the price of the suits. The price was a bit of a stretch for me personally given how seldom I wear bathing suits. I will say the fabric feels amazing and many of the suits are from designers. read more
