Kari was kind enough to welcome a dog in the store with me - She is very dog friendly and went one step further as I am sitting Junior for a friend and wasn't sure if he would be ok with her dogs. She put her dogs in the back (without even a moment's thought) so I could shop! She listens to what a client needs and is quite sweet. I have made several purchases in her store previously but this visit was special with the extra customer service for Junior. Thank you Kari! read more

I've been shopping at Sun Splash Swimwear for over 20 years, which says a lot in itself. Kari has an incredible eye for beauty, high quality swimwear and carries pieces that you simply don't find everywhere. The selection is always stylish, flattering and exceptionally well made. Kari also gives wonderful personal attention and truly cares about helping you find something you feel great in. And after so many years of shopping here, Kari has even become a friend. Sun Splash is a very special boutique and one I've happily returned to again and again. read more

Sun Splash Swimwear is a very versatile store for all women. The owner is incredibly kind and helpful -- she spoke with me on the phone, guided me toward styles that suited my body type, and even stayed open past business hours so I wouldn't feel rushed. She is professional, knowledgeable about her products, and truly cares about her customers. Truly a 5-star experience. Blessings, Heather Rocha read more

Grateful for my experience. Shopping and bathing suits are usually hard for me, but Dee made it a wonderful experience. There is so many styles and colors, I would have been overwhelmed if it wasn't for her helping me through the store and her expertise on styles. I got the first one I tried on and I'm so happy. I feel amazing! Thank you Dee! read more

I went to SunSplash looking for a bikini for my summer trip to Europe. They had all types of swimsuits based on style, body shape, color, brand, etc. The store manager, Kari, was so attentive and helpful. I have a larger bust, and this is the first place I was given a bikini that provided me with full coverage whilst still looking sexy and stylish. I am so excited to wear this on my trip and many times after. read more

Kari was unbelievably accommodating in helping me to purchase (and quickly ship) an adorable swimsuit that I had seen on display but couldn't make it into the store before I flew back home...Got the suit just in time for Vegas. Thank you, Kari! read more

I am going on a few vacations in the next few months so I stopped in to get a few items. I was not greeted at all even though there was a lady sitting behind the counter that saw me walk in (she was older with reddish blonde hair and glasses). I actually prefer to not be bothered by the associates while I shop but saying "hi, welcome in" or something of the sort should be standard especially since (I assume) this is a small business. Eventually there was an older blonde woman who did come up to me to tell me about the sales rack and the discounted workout gear. By that time, I had already looked around the store and the fact that the woman at the front couldn't even be bothered to say hi had already left a bad taste in my mouth and I had already made up my mind that I did not want to spend my money there. 3 out of 5 stars because they have a decent selection. However, the best bikini shops in San Diego are Gone Bananas in PB or The Bikini Shoppe in Mission Beach. read more

Kari turned a dreaded shopping trip into a fun experience. I was not looking forward to searching through endless styles of swimwear to find a bathing suit for an upcoming trip. I have driven past Sun Splash Swimwear many times thinking it was only for young bikini wearers, but was pleasantly surprised by the great selection of suits, cover ups and resort wear for a wide range of ages. Kari happily assisted me in finding a good fit with complementary styles and colors. I left the store with two suits, a sun shirt and a cover-up. Mission accomplished! read more

What a fantastic choice of swim wear. Kari helped me pick out 2 swimsuits and a fabulous little dress. She had so many styles and colors to choose from. Honestly the ones I ended up buying were not suits I would have chosen but Kari kept bringing me more to try on. What a wonderful experience. It's always hard to buy good swim wear but not this time. read more

I LOVE this store! Finding a bathing suit that fits a D-DD top and is flattering and sexy was soooo hard until I found Sun Splash!!! They have a huge selection from bikinis to tankinis to one pieces that actually fit and made me feel great! On top of the awesome inventory, the customer service is unbeatable. I have been in several times and each visit, I have received top notch treatment. Kari is amazing and really put forth effort to make sure I felt good and found something very special. She spent a lot of time with me and offered great suggestions that I took! My husband is ecstatic too :) LOVE my new bathing suits!! read more

These ladies are the best. Let's face it not many people love bathing suit shopping! But here I not only loved shopping, but also felt amazing in every suit they picked for me...yep you heard me right! San Diego's best swimwear store! I have shopped at Sun Splash a few times now. Not only do they offer an amazing selection of gorgeous swimsuits and cover-ups, they offer exceptional service. Shopping for swimsuits can feel so intimidating and personal. Kari, the owner, made me feel comfortable immediately. Her kindness and eye for what would be a good fit for my body made the experience actually fun! She gives such personalized service. This last trip there, I left there with 3 beautiful suits! Truthfully, I had to leave some behind because I found so many that I wanted. This says a lot for suits they offer and the service I received. I love everything I've bought and am now a totally loyal customer. read more

I absolutely recommend shopping at this swimwear store. Kari has excellent taste in suits and beach attire, so the minute you walk in, you are surrounded by beautiful clothing and accessories. Her staff is very knowledgeable, and today, I bought a cute swimsuit, where the sales person helped me get exactly what I wanted. They take their time and there is no pushiness to make you purchase something that is not your style or budget. I highly recommend shopping at this store, if you want the personal touch and highly attentive salespeople. read more

Wow! I am so impressed with this store and so grateful to Anna for helping me find suits I love. I hate shopping for swimwear but after reading the outstanding reviews I decided to stop in the store just in case they had something for me. The suits Anna picked for me to try on were definitely not any I would ever think to choose myself but she absolutely knows what she's doing & I left with 2 suits and a romper she thought would be fun for me. (I've never even owned a romper so this was a fun surprise) I could've left with more suits because she picked so many good ones, but she was amazing at helping me narrow down my choices when I told her I was going to buy 2. I highly recommend this store and am so happy I'll be able to wear my suits & romper with confidence thanks to Anna's help. read more

Kari was absolutely amazing! She made me feel comfortable and brought me several different options to try on! Being a bigger girl, finding something I feel my best in can be difficult. But not here! This was the most pleasant and honest experience I have ever had shopping for a swimsuit. I went in a couple of months ago and Kari spent a good hour helping me find what looked right on me! It took lots of suit changes but I walked out with two bikinis that I never would have picked out myself. Thank you for creating a comfortable environment for women of all ages to shop in! read more

I loved going to this store in PB. I purchased a number of excellent swimsuits from them and always received assistance finding shapes and colors that suited my body type and skin tone. The swimwear I purchased previously lasts years and years, making it easy for me to spend a good chunk of change on swimwear. I was in Del Mar yesterday and I'm in need of some new suits, so I stopped in. I walked out empty handed because of the lack of customer service. The woman in the store didn't acknowledge me when I entered. I walked around the entire store and found a number of really cute tops I liked, but none were in my size (small). I tried to engage the woman working in the store, but she was evasive and seemed to be frustrated that I was there. I didn't feel comfortable even asking if other sizes are available, so I left. The store has a great selection of styles, but not sizes (at least on the floor), and this particular salesperson was the opposite of helpful. I otherwise love the store, so the next time I'm in Del Mar, I'll try again and hope for a different salesperson. In the meantime, I'll just buy some suits online and return them if they don't fit. read more

My friend and I had gone to several stores looking for a bathing suit for her. Stella had locked the door (it was right around closing time), but she was so kind and re-opened the store for us, staying a long time after closing to help my friend pick out a bathing suit. Stella was so helpful too and picked out a great bathing suit for my friend! :) Highest recommendations for this place!! read more

This is the second year I have come to Sun Splash for vacation sun wear and I am SO glad I did. I am not a size 12/XL and I HATE bathing suit shopping. I LOVE their service. I walked in, gave my size, said what I did and didn't like and Anna brought me a dozen or so suits to try on. It saved me a tremendous amount of time and honestly if I had gone through the searching on my own, I probably would have gotten discouraged and left. Sun Splash has my business for life!! read more

Love going here and supporting local small businesses. You just can't get the quality selection and customer service at big stores! Bought several one pieces and coverups. One suit I wanted wasn't in stock in my size but Kari ordered it and got it in just 2 Days! Will definitely go back! read more

Stopped in on my way home from a nice day at the pool! Looked around for a while and found many cute bathing suits and cover ups for myself... even tried a couple of things on! Nothing worked out but I figured I would take free look book home with me to look through and order something from at a later date! As I picked up the book an older lady practically yelled at me to put it down that those were for customers who actually bought something! Well lady, it's safe to say that I do not need your look book as I will never be buying anything from your store! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

My daughter and I love shopping at Sun Splash! The customer service is top notch! My daughter seems to always have trouble shopping for bath suits due to her body type and the minute we walked in Kari knew what she needed and made recommendations on styles. A lot of people ended up coming in at the same time but she made every customer feel like they were equally important and to get us what we needed. This is our second year shopping with them and will continue to be back! Thank you and keep up the great work!! read more

I highly recommend Sun Splash Swimwear in Del Mar if you are looking for designer swim and resort wear. They have a lot of suits in all different cuts and fabrics. I received friendly and helpful service both times I was in looking for a suit. Ana was VERY kind and gave me help without being pushy. I found several suits I really liked and had a hard time just picking one. The ONLY reason I didn't give them 5 stars is based on the price of the suits. The price was a bit of a stretch for me personally given how seldom I wear bathing suits. I will say the fabric feels amazing and many of the suits are from designers. read more

I cannot rave enough about my shopping experience today. As I prepare for a trip to Hawaii I have DREADED going bathing suit shopping. I stumbled upon this store as I headed to the grocery store. As I was digging through the sales rack, Keri asked if she could help me find something. My exact response was, "this is my purgatory, and I doubt I can find a suit I like"......then in comes Anna. Next thing I know, I have several suits and am whisked to a dressing room. What started as a few suits to try on, quickly became many more. Usually, I would have been overwhelmed, but Anna made it so pleasant and was so helpful. She was only trying to understand my style. After MANY suits, I finally landed on the perfect bikini, cover up, flip flops and fun dress. Thank you Anna and Kerri for such a wonderful experience. I will be back! read more

The clothes here are very nice. I definitely would go on a shopping spree here if I had enough spending cash. But I like their styles and the worker are very friendly. I like how some of their swimsuits give variety. Not all of them are my style I tend to go more towards the online shopping ways. I do wish this business the best! read more

Awesome swimwear shop with amazing staff! Always so helpful in finding a bikini that looks good on my body. Highly recommend.
