Love love love tanning here! I first visited this location in 2007 and just keep finding my way back! The bed variety is amazing, whether I feel like going for a red light session, tanning in a standard level 1 bed, or tanning in a high pressure, level 5 MATRIX, they have it all. Nice place, good prices and helpful staff. However I have been going for over a month for the heated versa spray tan and it's freezing and not spraying evenly at all. The signs in the store specifically say "heated" and it's like being sprayed and dried with cold water. I've complained a few times to the staff and every time I go they say it's been fixed but it is not fixed at all. I purchased a monthly spray tan membership, which is a good deal, but you have to commit to three months and with it being so cold, I don't even want to go! Hopefully they can get this fixed because this place is nicer than most tanning places in the area. read more

I have been going to this tanning salon for years. Used to go to the one in Herndon until they closed it. It is still worth the drive. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Let's start by saying I am not really a fan of tanning salons. I naturally tan pretty easily and never found a need to spend extra bucks to get a tan. That, and I'm admittedly skittish about the damaging rays in the tanning beds. In fact, I tried going to this place several years ago for a spray tan and absolutely HATED it. It was back in the days (2011?) when you locked yourself into a tiny room, closed your eyes tight and let the brown gunk spray you from head to toe. The vapors alone were enough to keep me away for quite a long, long time. Cut to 2015. My daughter got married last month and I wanted to look good for the wedding. My white winter legs had not yet magically tanned in the April sun and a trip to the Bahamas was not in the plans. So...my other daughter suggests coming here for a tanning session. I was nervous. I went with her, but I totally figured I would be sitting in the lobby waiting for her to get her tan on. I told the guy at the desk (who turned out to be the owner) that I wasn't here for a tan, I was just going along for the ride. My fearless daughter jumped right into the stand up tanning booth, while I was still hemming and hawing all over the place. You see, I still had a dilemma -- I wanted my legs to look good for the wedding. Well, the owner of this place was so very understanding and patient with me. He brought me over to several different tanning beds and knowing that I really only wanted my legs tanned, he tried setting up a chair for me. We talked about leaving the bed open, we talked about the spray tans vs. the beds. I told him of my horrible spray tan experience and then he brought up Versa clear. Changed my life! The new Versa clear spray and booth are terrific. They don't lock you in a cabinet anymore, for starters! It's big, it's open, it's space aged looking! An automated lady speaks to you, telling you what to do! And, the best part (for me) - you can do a spray tan only on your legs! Perfect! No more worrying about this stuff spraying me in the face. Can you tell I'm slightly claustrophobic? So in the end I went with the Versa clear spray, which sprays on clear and develops within a few hours. By the next morning, you've got a gorgeous tan that lasts at least week or so. No odor, no stress. And it took about 30 seconds. My kind of tanning. I've been tanning at Sun Splash in Fairfax and Centreville for about 10 years (yeah, yeah, cancer...). One of the reviewers said that the staff has a high turnover, but i think what he was seeing was that the girls tend to switch between locations when needed. I've enjoyed seeing and chatting with the same staff for a few years now, and it's always a good experience to go to any Sun Splash location. The Centerville location, specifically, has the Orbit beds, which I've found to be the best overall value. The store and beds are clean, the bulbs are changed regularly, and it's a place I would definitely recommend if you're looking for a quality indoor tan. read more

This tanning salon is clean, which is a big deal to me. I've only had spray tans because the beds scare me. The staff is friendly and truly takes the time to explain the process to newbies. The spray tanning "showers" are cleaned in between customers. I usually get the 3 spray tans for $50 package because I don't go very often. I do make a point to come here before a party or wedding though. The color is very nice and doesn't go bronze/orange at all! Found this place using Yelp about six months ago, but no reviews. Other establishments in the area had mixed reviews, so I took a chance. Easy to find, plenty of parking, and facilities are neat and clean. An efficient operation, no complaints. Staff are knowledgeable and business like, but not overly friendly and there seems to be a high turnover, rarely see the same staffer twice. Great experience the first time, went today had to wait because I couldn't be found in the system easily. Decided to cancel and surprise, was told about policies they decided to leave out when I signed up. Making it this difficult to just tan and then surprising people with new polices is outrageous. This place is a joke. The owner always seemed like was drunk, the staff was rude and very unprofessional. Way too much drama,talked about their personal lives which I dont give a crap about. Been coming here as needed for over ten years. Great location. Prices are fair. Girls behind the desk are usually very polite. My only suggestion for them is offer to show where the on/off switches are for the fans and to turn the beds on when trying a new bed or if it's been a while since last in. I use the lay down beds never the spray tan booth. read more

Ive been there numerous times and have complained about the old bulbs and today was the second or third time in the mistic tan machine and what do you know, I'm still pale and what makes me really mad is I have a function in an hour! First off THERE HAS TO BE WATER AVAILABLE. for the price of tans (this is the most expensive place I've ever gone to) I think they could provide small water bottles. Or even a tank with water cups!! Also some LYSOL wipes or I've even seen places with baby wipes..... Something to wipe my face off. And unfortunately I feel the need to re-sanitize/clean the bed before I lay there exposed to a dirty bed. . I have seen a layer of filth before!! A mirror in the rooms would be nice. But I guess if I have the time I can go to the bathroom, which I've never been told by staff where one is located. Final request is a small trash can in the rooms. Where do I put my trash??? I end up throwing my sticker wrapper and trash in my purse. Get a small dollar store trash can in there and it would help so much. Also a basket of candy to enjoy while in the room/while tanning would be a plus one!! It is a nice special touch that I know others would enjoy too. Makes the time go by faster since sometimes I can't listen to music in the rooms. I use the matrix beds (the most expensive bed) and one of them has music headphone inserts at the bottom of the bed-my headphones can't reach there?? Pointless This place has the basics. But for the price, please take some of these considerations and I know you guys will not even have more customers but people will go there as there go to tanning salon without a doubt more There's many fish in the sea. read more

I just tanned here for the first time at this location. I've tanned in one other salon before (Endless Summer in Purcellville, VA) and this is by far my favorite! The girls at the front desk were so kind and helpful! I spray tanned in the Versa Pro and got a clear spray! The girl at the desk showed me how to use the machine and made it easy to understand!
