You can tell they care about every customers because even if they are selling plants they make sure to let u know when it's a good time to plant or not plant certain plants. They have signs that help customers know when to plant. They have employees everywhere maintaining plants and helping customers. I easily spent a hour and a half of just looking at all the different plants. The prices for the plants are very realistic and the plants are always healthy. I've never had anything I've bought from them die. They have the most beautiful hanging baskets I've ever seen it's become a tradition every year for Mother's Day to get my mother two massive hanging baskets which last all the way to November. When the neighbors see them they ask where we got them so they can pick themselves up one as well. I love cooks so much that I bring people there all the time to get the cooks experience!

But maybe that's just because I visited in the early winter and who shops a nursery then? In any case, once we made our way inside, it became clear they're making moves to up the adorbs factor and move to be way more than just a pot-em-up nursery. The main retail area here is lovely, with gifts, books, and loads of home decor. They've put some money into this, and while it still needs to be filled out a bit more, you can spend some time cruising here and be happy. From the main area, we made our way to the houseplant section. While there are a lot of expecteds there, I was surprised to see so many of them. We only found a few harder-to-find ferns (something way down the line in the birds nest family) but plenty of those old school ficus. I suppose the ficus sell, but with so many hot new ficus right now, I just was surprised at the quantity of the old schoolers. There are succulents as well, though thankfully not a bajillion. I liked many of the containers, especially the wee ones, and prices there were reasonable. We ended up with three ferns, one of which is now struggling due to a long vacation and a lack of water (my bad) but many of the plants there in the greenhouse needed a good amount of deadheading and some of the poor monstera were flagging, and generally it seems they probably need someone dedicated and diligent in the watering and upkeep. It could stand a little freshening up. I'd like to come back in the warm months to see what kind of trouble I could get into, but I still had a nice time and the other two ferns are going strong; the third has my full faith it will bounce back.

You can tell they are watering on top of the plant instead of at the roots. You can see a lot of scorch marks on the flowers and the leaves. On the bright side the trees looked very healthy. They also had the beautiful hydrangeas lime light trees/shrub that looked beyond healthy which is rare to see at a nursery. But above all I might stop by once in awhile but I probably won't buy especially because the prices of the plants are so pricey.

There are so many plants, trees and flowers that you can take home and try not to kill. No matter how hard I try though, I seem to always kill my plants. Thousands of dollars now spent at Glovers each year due to my recommendation. Today I called to special order some flats of Lamium in the flower color I needed. They said they had 2 flats of the color I wanted in stock, so I went. I was genuinely shocked to find that the stock they referred me to was mostly or partially dead. How unprofessional is that to bring me out there for sickly product instead of letting me order something healthy? I only found four 4packs that didn't look dead or sick. When I went to check out I felt like I should pass along my experience to someone in charge. I requested a 50% discount on the only decent purple 4 packs I could find to offset my inconvenience of time and gas for making the trip based on what I was told they had. That was too demanding of a request by the logic of the manager. Told him I spend way too much money there to be treated like my years of loyalty don't matter. The manager pulled up my account and scoffed at the thousands I've spent, telling me that others spend more. Is this where we're at with Glovers? Are we only respecting the patronage of billionaires now? I told him I felt insulted by that, but he wearing his fighter hat and not his customer service hat, and literally told me he has no problem with the dead stock out there because people still buy them. Just wow. I feel like I'd be compromising my basic self-respect if I ever showed my face there ever again, so congratulations Glovers: you just lost a regular annual customer who was happy to spend thousands every single year (apparently an underwhelming dollar amount, as your manager says) because you could not admit a clear communication error, or discount a *teeny tiny* purchase as a gesture that you value me as a customer. Everything was riding on principle today. #FAIL. PS: I adore the cashier with long braids, and I've found every cashier to be nice and pleasant. I also have gratitude for the workers who have happily given the plants in my cart fresh water to ensure they didn't dry out while I shopped. Sad how one guy in charge with a chip on his shoulder can undo all those years of patronage.

It was the perfect date night-an activity and a souvenir, and priced at $5 per person (plus supplies) I felt like it was a good deal. We arrived a few minutes early and saw other attendees lurking about, a little unsure on what to do. Eventually, we found our way to the back where there were tables setup and our instructor, ready to get hands dirty. The class itself was fun-Lucas showed us different plant options as well as items to put at the bottom of our containers to provide drainage. I would have loved to have had more time with him to learn more about the specific plants, what goes well together and how to best care for them when we got home. But there were at least 20 people there, all with questions, so we did our best and had a great time! While we were there, we also perused the other products-specifically the produce-so we could eat some fresh fruit while we planted. The selection was fresh, and we took home raspberries, nectarines and apples-as well as a bottle of raspberry jam. I didn't see a TON of larger plants or things for the yard-most of what I saw was on the smaller side. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I'm sure we will be back as we grow our collection of indoor plants.

I live within a mile of this little greenhouse that's tucked away behind a shopping center, and…read moreonly just managed to check it out. It looks quite tiny from the front, and while it is a little bigger once you get inside it's still pretty small. They have some perennials in a strip outside (I noticed coral bells, lupines, clematis, canna lilies, portulaca, and delphinium), but the majority of their plants are annuals. Inside you'll find maybe 20 or so varieties of annual flowers and some decorative grasses. I don't buy a lot of annuals so I didn't pay as much attention to them. They had a teeeeeeeny section of herbs, and then an okay selection of tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and squash. Maybe 3-5 varieties of each type of vegetable. The quality was decent, but not amazing. The perennials seemed to be in the worst shape, although it really just looked like they needed a good watering. Customer service was kind of meh. I could only see two employees working. When I was ready to make my purchases I had to wait at the register for several minutes. One employee was outside, and the other was just kind of wandering around inside, but she didn't seem very concerned about checking if anyone needed help (and it wasn't clear if she actually worked there). When she finally made her way over she wasn't rude, but also not entirely friendly, either. This isn't a big deal for a business like this, but it is something to consider. They are definitely associated in some way with Quality Flowers & Plants off of 3300th S, which is about quadruple the size, at least, so I'd probably go there first. If you only need a few plants, however, this is certainly an option. Their prices are the lowest I've seen anywhere (and seem to be the same as Quality's), so if you aren't picky and just looking for the most bang for your buck they have enough options that you should be able to leave pretty pleased. I vacillated a bit on my rating, and while three stars isn't great, and I don't have any strong complaints, they definitely aren't a four star business. And really, it is pretty average, so in the end entirely appropriate.
