The customer service here is awesome. They are all friendly and willing to help you or answer any questions. If you need suggestions or help identifying plants this is the place to go. One of the best Garden Centers in Utah and by far the classiest. So pretty!! Such a great variety like no where else and high quality plants. Boxstore garden centers don't even compare. Perfect place to pick up unique trees and funky new varieties. We are beekeepers and always find great pollinator friendly plants. I love their evergreens too. The gift shop you could get lost. Perfect spot to pick up a unique gift ready to go. Huge rose greenhouse, lots of English roses. They are super cute in the fall with their pumpkins and they even do Christmas trees and Christmas decor. We love this place! read more

On a mission to find a bird bath, my husband and I visited Sun River Gardens on a Sunday morning. This was a first visit and we were impressed! Sun River is one of my favorite places to shop. It is always full of inspiration, and beauty. I have been going there, for as long as they have been open in Orem. There is not a nursery to equal it in Utah. Scott and Tonya , the owners, are incredible, as there is not a question that they can not answer, regardless of what it is, in regards to plants, shrubs, etc. The staff is very friendly, helpful, also, knowledgable. I find the variety of frest herbs they always have, are amazing. If you have not been there lately, you musst go, as they are making a lot of great changes in the gift shop and greenhouse. read more

I used to like this store, even though the prices were high, but they had some good plants. Today I had a really weird and Bizarre experience with the owner of the store. After I purchased some products from the store, she came out and accused me of stealing the products, and made me show the receipts. Why didn't she just go check with the cashiers and they could have easily told her what I purchased? Instead, she accused me of being a thief, and even after I showed her my receipts, she said I 'looked like' someone that had been stealing from them. I hope she calls the cops next time so I can sue her for Defamation. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! There's plenty of better nurseries there in Orem. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE! read more

Every spring,summer, and fall we go to Sun River Gardens to find plants, flowers, and many fun things to put in our gardens. We needed a fountain to spruce up the yard for a wedding reception, they had one that was just what we needed and priced better than any others we looked at. I LOVE going to Sun River Gardens! Their nursery is a beautiful little wonderland: a feast for eyes and soul. I love the gardening and gift ideas I get by stopping by. The staff has been very friendly, helpful, courteous and a source of good information to us over the years! (There are some good green thumbs there!) They send out a great e-newsletter that I love to read, too. Their products are typically more expensive, but they do provide coupons and "Sun Dollars" which I use to help defray costs. I have at times shopped elsewhere because I like to support stores that are not open on Sunday and where I can get products for less. I would give this great place 5 stars if they were closed on Sundays! read more

The plants and other merchandise is beautiful, however the people I came into contact with today were unfriendly, unhelpful, and unwilling to treat a situation with simple courtesy and fairness. My sisters and I have shopped here often and spent a lot of money. We will not be doing so in the future. The plants are lovely. Unfortunately, those running the store were not. read more

I have been "WOW'D" with exceptional customer service! I purchased a gift card in a different state for a friend near the nursery. She has claimed herself the plant lady not be confused with the cat lady. It was a surprise and when I didn't hear from the plant lady..... i reached out to customer service online. Immediately I received a response and Tanya was concerned the plant lady had not received the gift card at that time because she is at a hair salon right down the street. Tanya cancelled the gift card and sent another one. That one did not arrive either. So again I emailed Tanya and she was ON IT! Her quick response put my mind at ease. I thought I would have to order another one BUT Tanya said she would cancel that one also. (it will be interesting if someone tries to use the discontinued card) TANYA to rescue AGAIN! She actually hand delivered the new gift card ensuring it's arrival. I mean who does that???? What a fabulous experience I had! I can't wait to see what the plant lady purchases or if she takes a class they offer! What a business that CARES!!! Much gratitude to TANYA who went above and WAY beyond servicing a customer who doesn't even live in the state! Thanks TANYA!!!! You ROCK! read more

We are very happy with this nursery! The products are top notch. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. It is laid out in a manner that makes product easy to find. It is clean with everything I need to help my garden grow beautifully. The owners are very helpful and friendly as well. We have shopped there for several years and is the place for us. I had to put in my entire yard and so the search began to find a good place to get the help I needed to put in my yard. My search started at Home Depot where I found everything crammed together and dyeing. No one knew any thing and I found the prices were ok but not that great. I then came across Sun River and stopped in. They had a real friendly staff, and the place was like WOW. The plant selection was awesome. But still not knowing what to do, I met with Scott the owner. He was very helpful and had me up load pictures of my project to a iPad he had set up. He went on to give me great Ideas, ( really knows his stuff and that's a huge plus helping me) I looked at the prices, and they are pretty close to what I saw at Home Depot and a couple of other places so I don't know where Shaun the previous poster shops but from what I saw they were competative, but the quality, and selection was above and beyond. Thanks for all your help Scott. The iPad deal was the best. Try these guys out they are awesome. I completed my yard and it looks great. Sorry it took me so long to get this posted. I have been busy. Sun River Gardens is one of my favorite places to go in the spring when I'm looking for new plants for my garden! The staff is very knowledgable, and the plants are incredibly healthy! The prices do tend to be a little higher than other places, so I usually watch for the sales, which are fantastic. I also sign up for their newsletter, which gives great advice about which plants to plant when, and gives me ideas of new varieties to try with my flowers! read more

I love shopping at Sun River Gardens! Their staff is super knowledgeable & friendly & answered all of my many questions. They were even able to order in a few specific plants I was looking for. The prices are a bit high compared to other nurseries, but I watch for weekly specials to get a better deal. You can also earn Sun Dollars on your purchases to spend at a future date, so that helps too. I love their weekly newsletter -- it has great tips & it usually has good coupons too. read more

An amazing selection of a huge variety of plants. Healthy and carefully cultivated. The nursery is essentially a garden, only you can pick and choose which parts of the garden you want to bring home to your garden. And on top of that, the indoor shop with shabby chic vintage style decor is top notch! It may cost a few dollars more, but the quality is worth it! read more

I don't have money or a poodle in my purse but Sun River Gardens is by far my most favorite place to shop for plants. They carry a wide variety of unique flowers and herbs that appeal to my interest in learning all about various plants and how they do in my yard. I love the ambiance of the Gardens inside and it doesn't bother me to go outside to shop as well. It is also air-conditioned inside, something most nurseries don't seem to be. They also have wonderful accessories and furniture for your decks or patios. And although some items seem pricey, they aren't more pricey than other similar shops and they have great sales and a process of accumulating dollars that can be used in late summer and then another time at the Christmas season. I love how friendly and helpful everyone is and the great classes that they offer for next-to-nothing. If nothing else, it is simply good for the soul to go to Sun River Gardens and meander through their creatively placed furniture, plants and other accessories. Kathi H read more

Best place around to "get lost" in the magic of the world of the garden. Scott and his staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the selection of perennials, shrubs, trees, vegetables is terrific. The green house is absolutely gorgeous with beautifully arranged groupings of plants and decorative items. The retail store section of Sun River is classy and has items you don't see in the "workaday" garden centers. I love visiting any time of year but in the middle of winter when the garden world is asleep, the store and greenhouse are positively theraputic! The roses in the greenhouse out behind are gorgeous-- wonderful selection of prime bushes. Prices tend to be high but worth the quality and the assurance they are healthy and zone-appropriate. Recently the nursery expanded its space to include the corner of State St. and 1200 North and has expanded its inventory in a major way. Stop by if you have wondered about it when it was tucked back behind the now-gone long time barbershop-- you won't be disappointed. Even if you don't buy anything, the experience of seeing the artful arrangements of plants and fountains and decorative elements will lift your spirits and expand your ideas for your own gardening spot. read more
